How do I know the "date added" for a file ?

Hello,
With Leopard, the folders in the dock can be sorted by "date added" (date when the file was added to the folder).
Does anyone know a way to know this date for a given file ?

Language is different from "encoding"...if you mean character encoding. Multiple languages can be represented by a single encoding. The fact that you mix language and encoding in your question confuses me about what you are asking.
If you want to know what language a file uses, you can always use a meta-tag. Or you can do some kind of text analysis based on dictionary lookups to determine language...too complex for my tastes. I think a simple language tag in the file makes more sense.
As for character encoding, you either standardize on a single encoding for all files or again use a meta-tag. If you standardize on a single encoding, you should probably consider one of the Unicode encodings instead of any other character set encoding.

What version of Photoshop are you running? You will need at CS5, CS6, CC or CC2014. Each version needs a different ACR-plug-in to open files from that camera.
If you are on CS4 or earlier, you'll need to upgrade—or, in the alternative; look for, download, instal, launch and run the free, stand-alone DNG Converter 8.6 on each file of raw NEF files to convert them to raw DNGs first so you can open them in your version of Photoshop and ACR plug-in higher than 2.4.

Hello Maria,
Well, in the Support Message window, place the cursor in Component box and press F4. This will brings up another window which contains the components list to which you are authorized. From that list you can choose about which component you want to create that particular support message.
For example, if you are from Quality department, the following can be visible when you press F4.
QM - Quality Management
-- QM-ADB Adobe Forms
-- QM-ADB-PRN Print Forms
For the Print Forms, the component will be QM-ADB-PRN

How does one change the date format for PlayMemories Home folders?

I am using PlayMemories Home Version 2.0.00.11271 and have many folders within it which contain only photographs imported from my Sony DSC-H9. Unfortunately, PlayMemories Home insists upon dating all folders in a month/day/year manner; and this makes little sense if one wishes to have the folders listed in logical chronological order. How can I change the date format to year/month/day? Changing the name of each folder, one by one, will take a very long time! Your helpful advice in this matter will be greatly appreciated. I too thought that the folder naming format was obviously wrong and couldn't find a way to change it. I do agree that placing photos in folders according to when they were taken is a great idea. I had been considering writing some software to do just that. After discovering that PlayMemories does it, I had it re-import all my photos. Then I wrote a small Perl script to rename all of the folders into year-month-day format. Included here is the Perl script. It only acts on a single folder - use it on the root folder where all the PlayMemories folders are. It will rename all folders currently in a month-day-year format. I used it without problems but of course there is no guarentee that it is error free. This should work with any common version of Perl. How do I get the block duration for wave file playback?

I'm using a LV example "Getting Started with sound and vibration express vi's (simulated). When I play back the examples the audio does not match the graphing updates as the file is played. That is, the sound continues to play after the graphs have finished reading the file. I can change the input box "block duration (s)" to achieve playback coordination between graph updates and audio. Is it possible to calculate this value from data included in the file? If not then if I have a vi that records sound to a wav file could the "block duration" be calculated there and passed to the playback vi? Just not sure what makes up the block duration. Thanks

Hi Mike,
The Block Duration that is configured from the Front Panel is a control that is used to determine how much of the sound file has the analysis performed. From the Block Diagram the Block Duration control is used to calculate the subset of the Get Waveform Subset.vi. Also notice the sound file is opened prior to entering the case structure, thus will begin first to execute due to dataflow. This may be easier to see using highlight execution. The sound VIs are not affected by the Block Duration at all as the entire sound file will be played. Take the data from your sound file and display it onto a chart or begin processing as in the Read Sound File to Chart.vi example for immediate updates Hopefully this helps!

The CO-PA DataSources generated use a separate time stamp method for the delta procedure. This procedure means that client-independent DataSources in CO-PA are normally restricted to the clients in which they were generated.

In Thunderbird, how do I change the date format for the column display?

I want the date to show as DD-MM-YYYY HH:MM AM/PM. Although this should be really obvious (and I know I've done it in the past), I can't find where to do this and can't find anything in Thunderbird Help on this, not even when I search "Thunderbird, change date format".

Thunderbird usually uses the computer date and time and settings.
I'm using Windows and notice that TB is using the short date format which I set up under Regional & Language Options.
Are you using the International settings or Date/Time settings?
It should pick up the settings from the 'International' or maybe its called now called 'Language & Text' setting.

How do you make the date change for every entry when inserting.

Hello, I am making a daily vehicle inspection report for my truck and I would like to make a 7 day calendar but I would like to insert the date ie Monday Feb 22, 2010, Tuesday Feb 23, 2010 etc...and have it change for each day of the week. is there a way to do this? Also can you put an outline or a box around the 6 lines of text that you input.

You can connect to Oracle from Excel directly. I know you can read data but am not sure if you can export data.
Other option is to import the data into Access.
