How do I know what I'm being charged for?

I pay my itunes with PayPal.  If I buy something, I don't see the charge till days later in an email from PayPal which only identifies it as coming from iTunes, but not which product.  Thus I frequently have no way to figure out whether the charges are legit & what product they relate to.  The latest is I just downloaded an app that claimed to be free.   Shortly after, I got a $1.99 charge from PayPal from iTunes.  I have no way of knowing was that the supposedly free app or some app I bought a couple of days earlier that just now showed up on PayPal.  I can't go into iTunes & see which apps were bought when or what I was charged for them.  I can't go to PayPal & see was I being charged for an app or song I even bought.  How does one verify charges are correct?

Log into your iTunes Store account and click on the Purchase History. All your purchases with the prices you were charged will be listed there. If you believe you've been charged for an app that should be free, go here:
http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
Regards.

  • I have unknown charges on my account. How can I tell what I am being charged for?

I would like to know how to tell what I am being charged for. I have two .99 charges on my bank account and I am unsure as to what they are for. One in particular is from today and I have not purchased anything. I did do some app updates. Am I being charged for updating a purchased app?
I would like to know how to get the specific information of purchases that are appearing on my bank statement. I have tried searching for the reference number from my statement but did not find anything.
    Thank you!

None are '''''necessary''''' to use Firefox, but some parts of some web pages aren't going to work without a specific plugin being installed.

How can you see what data usage was for on the bill?  It only shows the date and usage but not the reason for the usage.

  • How do I know if I will be charged for updating my apps Before updating them?

After downloading apps whether paid or free you receive notifications to update them frequently. However, I don't know how to be able to tell if I will be charged and how much I will be charged for it. It has cost me quite a lot in overdraft fees. Could someone please help me?

Updates for free apps are free.  I have never had a situation where I was charged for updating a paid app.  I guess if you were to be charged for for updating a paid app  what would be  the same thing that happens when you download a paid app in the first place.  You get a prompt that askes whther you want to pay and download

  • What's with being charged for picture messages?

I got a text saying on October 14 or something like that, that we will be charged for sending/receiving picture messages now. How much is this going to cost? Also, is there going to be some kind of new plan out there that we could get to still send pictures without being charged? What will happen to the $10 messaging bundles then?

On the $10.00 plan you will have picture and text unlimited on verizon to verizon and you have 250 texts for other contracts. The message was saying if you forward three pictures to three different people would be a charge for 3 texts, but no charge if its verizon to verizon but if its from or to a different contract like ATT etc. then it would cost you 1 text for each of those three people to send and 1 for each person that received the picture or text message. Actually nothing had changed as the unlimited part its mainly for people that do not have a text plan. So don't worry about it.

  • HT5114 How do i view what i have been charged for on itunes

I am getting charged for itunes and i dont know why can u help me to find out what thecarges are for

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you are charged for things you haven't purchased, you can report the problem to the iTunes store.
Select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History on your computer.
Currently, if your purchase happens to be your most recent purchase you will not be redirected to the report form, in this case use the report a problem option from the invoice that was emailed to you.

  • Memory on my Ipod is being taken without me knowing what it is being used for. Help...

I had 1.5 gigs left on my iPod when I connected it to my computer. After a short while of syncing it said that I had no memory left. All of my free space was said to be taken up by "Other" memory and I can't find out what is taking that memory. This has happened to me 3 times in a row now. How do I find out what is taking the memory and/or how do I delete it so I have free space?

This indicates corrupt files.  A restore should resolve.

  • How do I know what the wifi password is for my 4th Gen time capsule

I am only new to this time capsule thing… I am pretty savvy in things as technology goes but I just can't figure out how to get the wifi password on the 4TH GEN time capsule I have tried everything I know I was not the one to set it up and my mother let the tech do it and paid no attention to the finer details I would have. PLEASE HELP!!! THANK YOU.

    You will learn grasshopper!!
looked like I didn't even need the reset but this is great and simple way I hope other people use it!!!! Thank you again!!!! From a not as seasoned techy as you!!! I aspire to be as versed someday!!!
You must use the reset to remove the admin password if it is set.. If the tech left it as default the TC throws up an error.
It is one I choose to ignore since security on the Airport routers is pathetic anyway.
    Default password is public btw.
And as long as you access via ethernet then you do not need the wireless password. But the way the utility works now is to set the password the same for both wireless and admin access. So you need to reset.
Pressing the button for 1sec is called a soft reset.

  • How does Google know what I am searching Bing for?

How in the world do Google ads appear in Safari for items I searched Bing for?

There are some easy steps you can take to enhance your privacy on the Web.
From the Safari menu bar, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Take an inventory of the extensions you've installed, if any. Some Safari extensions are adware or spyware. Read the privacy policies or terms of use carefully. Remove any that you don't really need or aren't sure about.
One extension that you may want to install is called "Ghostery." It blocks many tracking cookies. But there are reports that it sometimes causes Safari to crash. I use it and have had no problems.
If you've installed any ad-supported hacks such as "Glims" that modify Safari, uninstall them according to the developer's instructions. Doing so will enhance the stability of Safari, as well as your privacy.
In the Safari preferences dialog, select the Privacy tab. You have the option to remove data, such as cookies, stored on your computer by web servers. You can remove all such data, or remove only some of it by clicking the  Details button. The other settings are pretty much self-explanatory.
On a more advanced level, you can change the DNS servers used by your computer, or your router, to look up the addresses of all Internet servers that you use. In general, the best choice from the standpoint of privacy is to use your ISP's DNS servers. Your Internet traffic goes through your ISP's network anyway, so in theory there's no loss of privacy in using its DNS servers. Avoid third-party DNS services such as "OpenDNS," which is in the business of selling information about you to marketers.
Consider using ad-blocking software such as "GlimmerBlocker," which also blocks some forms of JavaScript abuse that can be used to track you. It's only suitable for advanced users, and it may block some web content that you want to see.
When using a public network such as a Wi-Fi hotspot, keep in mind that others connected to the same network may be able to eavesdrop on your network traffic. They won't be able to read the contents of that traffic if you connect to secure websites such as this one, but they will know the addresses of the sites. The same goes for email and messaging. Some public VPN services market themselves as a solution to this problem, but using those services may have serious security and privacy implications.

  • What do i get charged for?!

just got a nokia n95 and i am unsure of what i am being charged for when using the mapping system. do i get charged for planning a route, finding places like the restaurants or local hotels etc. i have searched everywhere and found lots of different answers!
    help would be much appreciated!!
    xx

I am assuming you are refering to charges for using Nokia Maps.
Firstly there is no charge to use nokia maps to locate you position and to download any maps you want. So all map updates are also free.
You will however have to pay for navigation if you wish to get turn by turn instructions. There are various rates for navigation. You can buy a single country or regions (eg. western Europe) for different durations such as a week, a month, a year etc. There used to be a 3-year license but I am not sure if this is still available.
Typical costs depending on country/region for a 1 week license is around €7.99, 1 month €8.99, 1 year €79.99 and 3 years €89.99. I got the 3 year license for Western Europe and everytime I go away on holidays I might get the 1 week or 1 month license for the region I am visiting.
    Also see
    http://europe.nokia.com/A41005078
There could also be associated network charges if you choose to go online and use AGPS when navigating. Network charges can be avoided by pre-loading your maps to your phone using the Map Loader programme and turning AGPS off.

Hello CS Community: I am about to renew my CS cloud subscription for one year. My current subscription is for one user for both Mac (and) PC. When I renew, how do I know I'm getting a subscription for both my MAC and my PC? It's not clear what is included in the purchase. I'm choosing the 49.00 a month package. Any insight would be much appreciated.

    Hi ShearLine,
The Creative Cloud subscription is not OS specific as it's licensed via your Adobe ID.
You can purchase a single subscription and use it on 2 machines irrespective of it being Windows or Mac.

  • Is there a way to know what report is being processed ?

In XI R2 / Webi Report Server, or XI 3.x / Webi Processing Server, is there a way to know what object is being processed ?
For example currently, I can see thru system tool like "Process Explorer" that "wireportserver.exe" has been using a lot of CPU and increasing memory for several minutes. I feel that a report is too large or complicated, but which one ?
In audit database, I can only see events like "document read", but no "begin of refresh process".
So, do I have to wait for the process to be finished to find a "document refreshed" and know what was going on ?
Moreover, at least in R2, if user cancels his refresh request (by closing his browser for example), of if request takes  too much time and reaches timeout, no audit event  corresponding to this refresh request will ever be recorded. In this case, I have no information at all about what report was making the report server taking so much CPU and RAM. It has just a "read" event, but so have a lot of other reports having been read during the same period of time.
Ideally, I would just have to select the latest "begin of refresh" events without "end of refresh" to know which report are currently being processed. But unfortunately the first one doesn't exist.
Has anyone an idea to get this information anyway ?
    Thanks

    Hello Seb
    Thanks for your reply.
I was aware of this instance manager in 3.x.
In R2, I was also able to do the same with a request thru the query manager.
Unfortunately in both versions , I haven't found yet how to find informations on report being refreshed by users directly, and not by job server.
    I anyone has an idea...
In R2 I have tested the -trace option of report server : it generates a big amount of lines in trace files, but that seem completely useless : no information on what report is being processed..
I don't understant why this information is so complicated to get. It could be so helpfull...
    regards
    François

  • HT4946 How do I know what is using my iCloud space?

I see that 1.9g of my iCloud I'd being used. How do I know what it represents and how can I manage it?

Settings app > iCloud > Storage and Backup > <device>.
From there you can choose what to back up (apps' data) and see how much each backed up app is using (or would use if you turned it on).
For an average device, 1.9 GB sounds pretty reasonable.
