How do I launch firefox so that private browsing is set by default in android?

On a desktop pc it is possible to set preferences so that firefox always starts in private browsing.
I would like to have the same also on android but I couldn't figure out how to get it: I couldn't find anything relevant in the preferences.
If it is not possible, maybe it would be nice to have the possibility to choose in future releases of firefox.
Thanks

Ok, for the moment I will go on launching private browsing manually every time.
I wish, anyway, that in a (near) future release the developer will add a menu entry to enable PB by default (I can't see why it is not already there!).
Thanks

How can I launch a site that I designed for a client using their MobileMe account? Can they 'open' my iWeb files on their iWeb software?

If you give them the Domain.sites2 file that iWeb used to create the site they will be able to open it with iWeb application (it has to be the same version as you have) and make changes. But if you're expected to also make changes you'll need a way to send that file back and forth between the two.
Also there's an online MacWorld article that describes a way that both of you could manage the site using Dropbox. Look at Managing an iWeb site from multiple Macs.

• How do I turn off (and on) Private Browsing in Version 28?

How do I turn off (and on) Private Browsing in Version 28? Seems to be permanently set to Private Browsing mode. I would like to be able to choose which mode on the fly without addons. All the help I have seen so far, is for older versions of Firefox. I am using Version 28. Which seems to be the latest version as of right now.

You can check that you aren't running Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Never remember history)?
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
*Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"
You can check the target line in the Firefox desktop shortcut (right-click: Properties) to make sure that nothing is appended after the path to the Firefox program.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

• How to open firefox 22 in private browsing and navigate an url from command line

Hello. What i want is simple
Start firefox at private browsing mode
At this started private browsing mode open multiple urls
But it is not working
I tried this
It always open a new regular window and navigate url in that regular window. Also opens a private window but doesn't navigate any url
How to fix =

It is a workaround that you can consider because other ways probably aren't possible.
You could reserve a second profile in cases where you need to use the command line if you do not want to do this in the current default profile.

*http://kb.mozillazine.org/Using_multiple_profiles_-_Firefox
You can use the -no-remote command line switch to open another Firefox instance with its own profile and run multiple Firefox instances simultaneously.

• How to set Firefox mobile to Private Browsing by default?

What about:config settings are available that enable a mobile user to set Private Browsing by *default*?
I found a similar question posted here ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/958711 ), but it appears to be lacking an answer (or it has been edited off this particular page).
As a sidebar to this question:
Mozilla, I think it's fair to suggest to you (and others reading this) that more and more people, worldwide, are becoming aware of the grave issues and conflicts arising between privacy and security. In the wake of all we have come to know (thus far) about unchecked government spying programs, big data, general snooping, device fingerprinting, general malware, identify theft, etc., many of your users would like for you to continue leading the way in helping to better secure your loyal users' privacy, or at the very least, to provide loyal users with a wide-range of flexible settings that enable a user to determine the right level of security for themselves - from the "I don't care" to the "Don't stalk me, bro" to the "I want to be a ghost" -types. This necessarily includes your mobile browser. Mozilla is a key component to the future that is stretching out before us. Question is, will you lead the way?
Lately, I've seen many settings/features disappear from your mobile browser: enable/disable javascript, an actual "exit" option. This isn't to say you haven't done any good. I very much appreciate the inclusion of settings for "Title bar" (Show page address vs page title). THANK YOU!
If not such about:config setting exists, please consider a human-readable setting for "Enable Private Browsing by default".

On the desktop version of Firefox, the preference that controls this is:
browser.privatebrowsing.autostart
I tried creating that in Firefox Beta for Android and it didn't seem to have any effect.

• How can I launch firefox on different displays simultaneously without creating profiles for each of them

On my solaris server, there is an application which, in order to display some information, opens the browser. The server can be accessed thorugh X windows by various users. The issue is that whn firefox is open on one display, it fails to open on another display.
The resolution for this problem as suggested by a lot of users on various forums is to create different profiles for various firefox instances. However, everytime my application will launch firefox, i will have to invoke it with -P option which will pop up the profile manager. I do not wish to show the pop up for creating profiles:(. Is there some way to allow multilple instances of firefox to run on different displays?

• How do I configure Firefox so that the down arrowhead in the location field actually causes the display of a drop down list of bookmarked websites?

At one time I had done the "right" actions so that the location drop down contained a list of around 20 of my most frequently accessed websites. Now I have a new computer and cannot figure out how to configure this new installation of Firefox so that this feature works as it did before. Frustrating!!!! When I click the down arrowhead (icon just left of reload page icon), no drop down menu appears; only the URL of the current page is highlighted.

See:
* Firefox (Tools) > Options > Privacy > Location Bar: When using the location bar, suggest: Bookmarks
* https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Location+bar+autocomplete
*Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.
*Use "Firefox > Options" instead of "Tools > Options" if the menu bar is hidden.

• How can I make Firefox recognise that I have changed the DNS servers to use?

After I edit /etc/resolv.conf to make my computer use more reliable DNS servers, Firefox doesn't notice until I restart it. How can I make Firefox notice the change without restarting it?

I discovered that I can do this by ticking Work Offline in the File menu, and then immediately unticking it again.
(I believe this mimics what would happen if the operating system disconnected and reconnected from a wireless network, which would be a situation where Firefox would need to check for new DNS servers. So that explains why it works.)

• How do i update firefox so that it is on firefox 15?

How do I update my firefox so that it is at the 15 level? I have netflix and everytime I try to watch a show it asks me to install silverlight. I called netflix and they said that it is a firefox issue and that I need to be updated to firefox 15.
I am also wondering: Why do you not offer a service call? I tried looking for a number to call and talk to someone and I couldn't find one on your site.

Your system details list doesn't show the Silverlight plugin, so either you have not installed the Silverlight for Firefox or Firefox isn't finding it by scanning in the usual places.
You can also use Tools > Add-ons to open the Add-ons Manager and click the Plugins tab to see if Silverlight is installed, but is disabled.
