How do I launch Photoshop CC in Windows 8.1?

I've successfully downloaded the trial version of Photoshop CC and have launched the Adobe Initialliser, but can't see where I go from here. The PS icon within the Initialliser is not a live link, I've only the option to view tutorials.
I'm not technical, so hope this is not a stupid question!
Many thanks

use your windows explorer to navigate to c:program files(x86)/adobe
do you see an adobe photoshop cc directory?  if yes, open it.  do you see photoshop.exe?  if yes, click or double click it.
if that works you have opened the 32 bit ps.  you may also have the 64 bit if you have a c:program files directory.

How do i launch photoshop online?

What makes you use the term "online" here?  Do you think that because Photoshop is cloud-oriented that it runs somewhere besides on your computer?
At the moment you're expected to download it and install it on your computer, a process that's nicely integrated via the Creative Cloud application.

  • How do I uninstall photoshop elements 6 (windows) when there is not option in add-remove programs

How do I uninstall photoshop elements 6 (windows) when there is not option in add-remove programs.  I have looked on my hard drive extensively for a library or utility folder that would have an uninstall program, nothing.  I want to install Elements 9, but have found out that Elements 9 does not remove Elements 6, so I want to remove elements 6 first.

Strange that PSE6 does not show up via the control pane.
I wouldn’t worry about uninstalling it. The two versions sit happily side by side and PSE6 takes up hardly any file space compared with PSE9.

  • How do I install photoshop 7 on windows 8.1

Microsoft says Photoshop 7 is compatible with Windows 8.1.  How do I install it?

Bootiesmom are you receiving a specific error?  If your new computer lacks an optical drive you can copy the files to a USB drive on a computer which does contain an optical drive.

  • How do I run Photoshop CS6 in Windows 8?

I've seen other questions about this, but none had any useful answers.
    Here's the dilemma:
I have Photoshop CS6 on my Windows 7 laptop, and it works fine. But, for Christmas I received a Toshiba Notebook with Windows 8. I tried the trial of Windows 8 on my other laptop a few months ago, but since it was so new not too many programs worked on it. For instance, my VisTablet didn't have updated drivers for Windows 8. Luckily, they do now, but I'm still having the same problem I did with Photoshop CS6 last time. It starts up, and I can see it in my Task Manager. BUT, it dies. It just shuts itself down. I don't receive any errors or notifications. I don't know how to explain it. It's there one minute, but then you notice the dropping numbers and then it's gone.
Has any body else had this problem? And, can any body help solve this issue?
    Thank you in advance.

  • How do I move photoshop from old windows computer to new mac?

I've been trying to move Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 from my old PC to my new mac. I understand that you have to de-authorize it on the PC and then re-download it on the mac, using the same license key, but when I re-download it it's the PC version, not the mac. How do I download the mac version?
    Thank you!

You can't run Windows programs on OS X, only in Windows in a virtual machine in OS X or via BootCamp.
Just download the Adobe program for OS X and ask about switching the license so it works on the OS X platform.
It might be you have to upgrade to a later version anyway and pehaps they will give you a upgrade price instead of having to buy the full verison, talk to them.

  • Launching Photoshop from the creative cloud

Sorry for such a simple question but how do I launch Photoshop from the creative cloud?

    What operating system and version?
In general on a windows system there should be shortcut to Adobe Photoshop CC in Start>All Programs menu and on a mac go to your Applications folder and in the folder called
Adobe Photoshop CC double click on the Adobe Photoshop CC.app.
On a mac after photoshop cc is started you can go to the dock, right click on the icon for photoshop cc, click on Options and click on Keep in Dock, which will place a shortcut to photoshop cc in the dock.
On windows you can right click on the photoshop cc shortcut in the all programs and choose Send to>Desktop (create shortcut)

Rebooting my computer and re-downloading the software from the Adobe website for another clean install made no difference.
Is this a compatability problem and if so how can I fix it?

  • Can I find exactly how Firefox is launched? Re: Random launches of Firefox

One one of my desktop XP machines, even though the machine is idle (no applications running), something unseen keeps randomly launching Firefox (it is my default browser). They are launched without a link (i.e., it launched to my empty startup page rather than any specific URL).
All I do is boot up and leave it alone, intending to come back later. Within a half-hour, 5 to 20 Firefox windows are randomly opened to the blank startup page.
I've scanned the system very, very extensively for malware, but no malware is ever found. I used the maximum settings for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010, SuperAntiSpyware Pro, and Spyware Doctor. For the heck of it, I tried Panda online as well, but it found nothing wrong either.
It would help enormously if I could discover precisely how and what launched any given Firefox window. Is that information discoverable? If so, how?
That systems is running Windows XP Pro SP3 on a high-end workstation motherboard with 4 GB physical RAM (3.4 GB available to Windows) and a 3.0 GB Intel dual-core processor. Firefox is V 3.6.8.

  • Launching PhotoShop every-time iPhone is connected to Windows

Every-time I connect an iPhone to a Windows XP Professional machine Photoshop is launched (as well as iTunes). How can I stop Photoshop, or any image application, being launched when the iPhone is connected?
I've tried turning off automatically sync when iPhone is connected in iTunes, but all this does is stop iTunes from automatically launching - Photoshop continues to launch.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance,
    Andrew

When an iPhone contains photos captured by the iPhone, it is also detected as a digital camera when connected to your computer.
Or does PhotoShop also launch automatically when your iPhone doesn't contain any photos captured by the iPhone?
If not, one answer is importing these photos to your computer as you would with photos captured by any digital camera and then remove/delete the photos from the camera or in this case, the iPhone's camera storage. Any of these photos you want available on your iPhone, add these photos to other photos transferred from your computer to the iPhone via the iTunes sync process.
Apple computers include such a setting with the Image Capture application included with OS X which can be used to import photos from a digital camera without needing to install the camera's software or using Apple's iPhoto application or a 3rd party application such as PhotoShop. Apple's iPhoto application also includes the same setting as does iTunes.
If PhotoShop does not include such a setting, it should be included with Windows somewhere.

  • How do i deactivate a photoshop key in windows.old?

I've been pulling my hair out over this one and can't find any answers after many google searches.
I'm running windows vista, and got some weird virus the other day that wouldn't let me open any programs or see anything on my desktop and my only real option was to run the system restore disc.
Well, i did, and it worked, but i couldn't deactivate my photoshop key before doing this. Now photoshop is in Windows.old and obviously won't open, so i can't deactivate the key. How do i deactivate it when its stuck in windows.old? there has to be a way...

Thanks for the quick reply! i feel like im already getting closer to solving this.
I was actually a bit confused by the support section and which number to call or which option within support i should choose. I spent about a half an hour trying to find an email address i could send my question to, but couldn't find one.
So i guess what my question now is, where would i find the right number for the type of support i need? Which area within support should i go to?
