Wow that was really quick, thank you so much. Im not sure at all which version it was because i said it was around 4 years ago he bought it. I know it isn't under his username, since he's a PC person (ugh) so i know its probably registered to one of our actual names. isn't there some way to look it up since we did register it, because I'm not even sure where the disks are from when we bought it (we've moved a lot and also have two storage lockers, i know i would have kept it with other disks) but my cd rom drive is actually broken on my computer as well ( i think it got stepped on and is now squished and won't eject or run disks.)
So is there anyway they can look up that its registered to one of our names since we did register it when we bought and installed it, or do i really have to find the disk with some sort of proof of purchase (i know there would be no receipt after all this time)
either way, ill do what you suggested to the best of my abilities and thank you so much for answering my questions, i can't even open the program as its incompatible and find out the info from that) so I'm in a bit of a pickle and your response was so thorough and it didn't seem to be posted long enough to even write a well researched response, thanks, all the best,

I am writing this mail to let you know that I am very disappointed with HP regarding my laptop that I gave to the authorized HP repairer(Telefix,260 south road,hilton,sa 5033) in Adelaide.Its been more than a month now and every 2nd day I am calling the repairs to let me know the status of the laptop(for the repalcement of the hinge) and everytime I hear from them that they would be able to repair it by the end of the week for last 3 weeks.I called them today as well and I get to hear the same story and they said that they are still waitng on part from HP.
So can you please expedite the delivery of it as my work is really suffering in absence of my laptop.

You will need to contact Orange France. They are the only ones who can officially unlock a phone locked to their network.

Once that is done, I tried the old method of "Bookmarks" --> "Bookmark This Page" and added it to FolderE. When I did that, it deleted the copy in FolderD but left the other three alone!
This is fine with me. I personally think this is a bug, because I don't think that Firefox should ever delete a bookmark without asking me (or at least, informing me). But now that I understand the algorithm, I can work around it. Thanks!

How can I transfer the mailboxes from more than one user account to Thunderbird?

I've recently transferred my email to Thunderbird, having previously used Outlook Express (which I still have installed, but don't use). On OE I had two user identities, each with its own set of mailboxes, sub-mailboxes and address book. Thunderbird has copied across both identities, creating a new set of mailboxes for each, and has also copied both address books (and amalgamated them), but has only copied one of the old sets of mailboxes. Is there a way I can get it to copy the others? I noticed some reference to a limit on the number of messages - I did have rather a lot in the OE account from which it hasn't copied the messages! Could that be the problem?

have you heard about Thunderbird profiles? A profile change requires a restart unlike OE and it's change of identities. But multiple profiles is basically functionally identical to the OE identify. Two completely separate set of accounts and address books. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_manager
There is also an add-on https://nic-nac-project.org/~kaosmos/index-en.html#profname which make a menu entry to allow you to set te profile to be opened next time Thunderbird starts.
I am guessing crashing into the already existing outlook import folder made the mail an issue. So if you rename the outlook express import folder to something else the import may well go as planned.

How can I bookmark the same site more than once?

I have a large number of bookmarks, organized into many folders.
Sometimes I want two copies of the same bookmark, in different folders. But Firefox 3 does not seem to permit this. If the bookmark already exists, in _any_ folder, adding it to a different folder deletes the earlier copy.
REPRO: Go to a page with a fixed URL. Choose "Bookmark This Page", select FolderA in your bookmark folders, and press Done. Now choose "Bookmark This Page" again, and this time choose FolderB. EXPECTED RESULT: The page in question should now appear in both FolderA and FolderB. ACTUAL RESULT: The page is in FolderB, but _not_ in FolderA.
Is there any way to avoid this? I use folders to save myself a lot of time. For example, when I need to work on a paper for one of my classes, I go to the appropriate bookmark folder and choose "Open All in Tabs". When I want to work on a different class, I go to a different folder and choose "Open All in Tabs." But I am unfortunately prevented from placing a site in both folders!

IPad Air is shipped later than announcement on the Apple Store Website (more than 24 hrs) and there is effect my holiday plan

I plan to go to my native place on 10/04/2014 and I would like to buy the iPad Air for my mother.
I accessed to Apple Store Thailand and found that there are announce on the website as "Shipping within 24 hrs".
So I decided to place the order for iPad Air on 2/04/2014 at the night (Thailand Time)
after all process was completed there are mentioned the Delivery Date is 10/04/2014
but in the today evening 4/04/2014 the process is just changed from "Preparing for shipment" to "Shipped"
and the Delivery Date is postponed from 10/04/2014 to 11/04/2014.
So the main point is I am plainning to take the iPad Air to my mother and I will leave from the place that I mentioned for deliver the iPad Air.
How can I do for received your product before 11/04/2014?

I can hardly believe my old school Palm Pre was much friendlier than the IPhone. I have had it for more than six months and still cannot sync my Outlook calendars and contacts. I get a message like, "no calendar application identified." help!

My old school palm pre was much friendlier than the IPHONE 3G. I was able to sync my outlook calendars and contacts via wi-fi effortlessly. I tunes did sync once or twice in the six months that I have had it, but more often it acts like it is syncing and ultimately delivers a message like "no calendar application is supported". Why the back and forth. Very frustrating after literally hours of trying to sync my phone with my Outlook calendar and contacts. HELP!!!!

What version of MS Office do you have installed? Have you tried re-installing office over top of itself? It may not be properly registered with the OS.

A song that I just bought won't play more than 1 minute and 3 seconds with sound.

I bought a song 2 days ago and I tried to listen to it but only 1 minute and 3 seconds of it will play with sound. My iPod says that the song is still playing but there is no sound. The volume is up but there is nothing. I tried to "report a problem" when I got the email receipt but my iPod said it couldn't connect to the iTunes store.

I'm looking to,see howmimcan search farther back in my bob browser...I know,I ordered something on line and I can't find it anywhere? My history only goes,back,a,week, and I get back,further to,see,what,happened?

I'm still trying to find a way to do this simple task. Everyone has home networks now and not able to simply browse to a folder where you keep your video/music files is quite a problem with such a brand new, ultimate tablet. I can even do this with my Android phone I have. I have terabytes worth of music and movies and if I can't watch them with this ipad tablet then I for sure will return this tablet and buy Android from now on. I'm now finding out how locked down Apple products really are and how limited UNLESS you BUY an app or only go through an Apple type portal. I wonder if people know that you can't play your media you have saved at home with an ipad.
