How do I link video to audio in Imovie 11

If I've imported a sound track and placed it over existing audio/video, is there a way for my to link the audio to the video and, then, edit (e.g. trim segments) both as thouh they were one?

    how can i stream video and audio from macbook air to my tv?

    Wirelessly: you need an AirPlay - enabled device such as an AppleTV.
    Wired: if your TV has an HDMI port, you need a Thunderbolt to HDMI adapter such as this one:
    Mini DisplayPort to HDMI® Adapter w/ Audio Support
    If your TV does not have an HDMI port you will need a converter that will convert HDMI input to whatever input your TV requires.

  • How do i start video and audio at the same time in ios

    How do i start video and audio at the same time in ios?
    I have tried a lot of different ways but i cant figure it out?
    I can get the sound and animation (timeline) to start playing.
    There is no problem to start the video and the animation at the same time.
    But i cant get both the video and the audio to start playing when i press a button.
    It works great in OSX and on windows?
    Here is an example:
    // insert code for mouse click here
    // Play an audio track
    sym.$("_1")[0].play();
    // Play a video track
    sym.$("host")[0].play();
    // Play the timeline at a label or specific time. For example:
    // sym.play(500); or sym.play("myLabel");
    sym.play("marker1");

    If the game has sound in it (and possibly even if it doesn't) it may be overriding the Music app and causing it to stop playing - in which case there is nothing that you can do about it.

  • Here is a Tutorial on How to sync Multiple Video and Audio Clips

    Check out my Tutorial on How to sync Multiple Video and Audio Clips http://vimeo.com/28972315

    Very true ! My main point was to show how easy it was to sync. I still think apple has a way to go to make this a great tool. It was fast to edit but when I want to send somthing to AE 5.5 it was a nightmare. I do  I love how it organizes keywords and the color correction tools are good if you want to do it your self (check out this site http://www.colorgradingcentral.com/final-cut-pro-x-color-grading-table-of-conten ts ) it will be a great program if apple listens to all the comments but does not make it too complicated the you cant create quickly.

  • How to download a video in iPhoto to iMovie?

    As a newbie in using the video feature on my camera, I did so in portrait frame. Upon downloading the video to iPhoto, I was not able to rotate it in order to view it properly as well as mount it on my client's website. I have learned iPhoto cannot rotate of a video and was informed I need to perform this task using iMovie.
    This is all very new to me therefore seek assistance on how to transfer the video from iPhoto into iMovie and rotate it for viewing purposes.
    Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you, in advance.

    In the event library in iMovie you should be able to see iPhoto videos - click on this, find the video you want to rotate, make sure you select the whole clip and then click and drag it to an existing iMovie event.
    Once you've done this, add the iPhoto video into a new or existing project, and with the clip highlighted press the 'C' button on your keyboard, or the clip tool in iMovie, either of which will open a crop window which will have at the top of it a left and right rotate button.

  • Capturing Video w/Audio in iMovie?

    Hi,
    I was just wondering if it's possible, using the iSight and the built-in mic on a MBP, to capture video w/audio with iMovie? Or just video w/out audio? I tried to capture video, but the audio didn't seem to come through at all. If it's not possible, any program reccomendations?
    Cheers,

  • How to link video and audio channels of multiple clips

    Importing iMovie08 sequence via XML ends up with unlinked video and audio channel (only one of the stereo channels; see other post).
    It is possible to link each clips audio and video track individualy.
    Is there a way to do it in batch mode for all the clips in de timeline??

    Dennis Connors wrote:
    1. After selecting the in points on main audio and one of two video tracks, the "merge clips" is greyed. Yes,in case you're wondering, the audio is on the HD.
    Your use of language is confusing me I'm afraid. You opened the AIFF file and set an IN then opened a QuickTime movie and set and IN and then with them both selected in the Browser (and the Browser the active window) that you cannot select Modify->Merge Clips... ?
    I wasn't wondering anything about your audio, but now I'm wondering "What does 'the audio is on the HD' mean?"
    2. The other issue is that the starting point is silent, so the only I know how to find the actual beginning is by counting frames back from the first sound. Is that what I have to do? Is would seem to me that there must be a "marker" that's not and "in" or "out" that will allow me to merge the tracks. No?
    If you set an IN point in two clips you can merge them using the Merge Clips... command with the in points option. The IN points you choose can be anywhere and for anything. They can be where the clapper hits and sounds, they can be where a drum stick hits a cymbal, they can be where someone is clapping, they can be where a body falls from a building onto the sidewalk... Anything that helps you sync the sound with picture.

  • Linked video and audio do not move together on timeline

    Hello, I have been working in a project for a couple of days and cannot find out why the video and audio do not move together when one of them is dragged laterally on the timeline. They are linked yet do not move together. I seem to remember one of the first clips I dragged down to the timeline did what it should but they do not behave as they should. If I click on both clips the only option is unlink. When I move one part in the timeline it shows me how much they are out of sync.Any ideas?

  • Link Video w/ audio on import

    Hi,
    I am an Adobe starter. When I imported all my reels from an Avid project to Premiere, I got avi-video-viles and wav-audios, i can load them into the cut window but in the preview/source screen I can only either see the picture OR hear either one of my audio tracks. How do I link both so that I can both see and hear my material in preview before i decide what to cut into my new sequence?
    Nik

    You're welcome. Happy editing.
    You will also find links to many free tutorials in the PremiereProPedia that will quickly show you how things are done in Premiere Pro.

  • How to create a 'video-less' audio album in FCPX?

    Hello to all!
    I need guidance in this matter. I have with me about 5 audio albums and am on the job of making music videos of them. I have made videos of a few of them and have posted them to YouTube. Finding the going slow, I am contemplating doing this: Having a static background for one whole album in which I enter as text the title of the album and the names of the songs...something like the opener of a DVD. After pulling down all the audio into the timeline, is there anything I can perform which will enable this function: when I press the 'button' of a song's title, the album plays from that song and not from the beginning...something which you can do with a DVD's opener? After exporting the file and uploading it into YouTube, I desire that viewers have that option of being able to choose any particular song they want to hear in that album. I hope my need is understood.
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for your reply. Let me put my need with the aid of this screenshot:
    This is a 'video-less' audio album I have in mind. This is the 15th album uploaded by this gentleman and has nine songs in it. The titles of these songs are entered in the text bars which are clickable. Hovering the mouse over any title shows up the video's URL. Clicking the title gets you to the song you desire to hear. The numbers 14 and 16 are also active and clickable and direct you to the previous and next albums.
    Can you help me out in this matter, or can you direct me to a site that gives insights as to how to have such a setup?
    Regards and take care.

  • Linking video to audio

    Hi
    I have an isight camera in my imac (never used it) & was wondering if i can record (just solo guitar possibly with vocal) using logic & somehow link it to video. To post on youtube or something like that.
    Assuming my isight camera records video?
    Cheers

    In the top right corner of the timeline there are two tiny buttons. click the first one with two small oval shaped icons. It turns green. Now select the audio and video you want together and if they are not yet click Command + L while video and audio clips you want to link are selected. Now they should be linked!
