  • How do I send a PDF fillable form from Adobe Reader Acrobat?

I just installed Adobe Reader in my iPad to send a fillable form but as I sent it out the form is received blank by the recipient.  How do I save the PDF fillable form and send it out with the filled out information.  I am able to save it in Acrobat but for some reason I send the form but the recipient receives it blank.  What can I do?  Thank you for your help.

Your recipient needs to use Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat to reliably view a filled form. Chances are they are using a third-party, substandard PDF reader like Apple Preview. Adobe Reader is a free download; if necessary, you could provide them a link from the Adobe website.

  • How do I change the color of font in a fillable form in Adobe Reader? How can I check if the writer of the document has given permission to edit color and not just add text?

How do I change the color of font in a fillable form in Adobe Reader? How can I check if the writer of the document has given permission to edit color and not just add text? Please help! I'm technologically challenged.

Most forms (99% or more) are created for simple text input, where you cannot change anything.
The creator of the form could allow Rich Text input (which allows you to change font, text size, color, etc.), but frankly I have never seen such a form, and I wouldn't know how they look.  But I'm sure they would show some kind of controls to alter the text appearance.

    Hi,
You can embed the form on your website, but you need to make sure that javascript has been enabled in the browser. You need to copy the embed code and add it into your HTML code. If you would like FormsCentral to generate embeded HTML form without using javascript, you may post a feature request and vote it. Hope it helps! Thanks!

  • Automate Printing of a fillable form using Adobe reader

I am working on a project to automate the reporting of enrollment confirmations, etc. in a national service.
I have written a C# program that connectd to a national service organization from a client machine and enrolls people as needed.
Occasionally , a list of names along with enrollment status, etc - is downloaded to the machine.
I am using ES Desiner and Adobe pro 9.0 to maintain some simple PDF forms that a C# program is filling out as each form is inspected, etc.
This currently works fine - printing one form on demand as needed.
I would like to move ahead one step in the automation sequence and allow the user to select which files to print from a list of files available and allow the program to simply fill out the form as needed - (it is already doing this) and print to the current default printer.
it is my understanding that this is possible using the SDK and the standard reader - but I am having some difficulty in finding out just how to go about it.
Can you please direct me to where I would begin learning how to do this using the SDK and the adobe reader ?

When i say : ("it is already doing this"), I mean that the C# program is already pre-filling a form - when the file is selected and the user loads the data to the form and it is being printed when the user decides to press the print button.
I would like to automate this sequence for the user so he/she doesn't have to do it manually , and doesn't have to do it one at a time - as it is done now -
I have been told that this is possible using the SDK and adobe reader but it is not exactly documented in a way that i can identify .
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Connect to AdobeID for converting PDF to WORD from Adobe Reader

    Hi Anne,
What happens when you try to sign in directly to cloud.acrobat.com/export? I don't see any issues with your account, so you shouldn't have trouble logging in.
Let me know how that goes.

  • How do i lock my pdf fillable form file

Thank you in advance for any help.
    I have two questions:
    1)  How do I save my fill-able form pdf file as a NON fill-able form so that the saved version cannot be changed?  I have Adobe Acrobat Pro XI for the MAC
    2)  How do I add a page to my pdf file.  When I try to use thumbnails the fill-able pdf file will not accept a page that I scanned as a pdf file?  Could it be that the fill-able pdf file won't accept a non-fill-able page?  I want to scan the signature page back into the document after I have signed it.
I have struggled with these two issues for days!
    Thank you,
    Ben

Those types of forms are static XFA forms created with LiveCycle Designer. They generally can't be edited in Acrobat even if you remove the usage rights. There is a bug in Acrobat 9 that you can take advantage of if you have access to it that will allow you to convert it to an AcroForm that you can then add pages to and convert to a non-fillable PDF.

  • PDF fillable form saved as reader extended version will not open in reader on ipad2

I have forms that I have created in livecycle and saved as reader extended versions.  We I try to open them from adobe.com in the adobe reader on my ipad2 I get the Please wait... screen the form never opens.  Any help?

Technically, they can be opened but we will only display the placeholder page asking you to "wait" =). The form content is not viewable or fillable.

  • Can't see typed text in fillable forms in Adobe Reader x unless you click back in the field?

We have fillable forms and when employees open them they can type in but as soon as they tab to the next field you can't see text in previous field unless you click back into that field with your mouse.  Then when you click on print it prints the form out with no text in the field.  This form can be opened and filled in if the staff member has adobe pro of nuance but not in the new reader.

I just ran into the problem as well. To resolve it, I had to open the form in Acrobat  then delete and recreate the fields what are not showing text. I know this is a pain but it seems to be the only way to fix the problem. Going forward, I'm either going to have to upgrade the acrobat program to version X or stop using the form wizzard. It seems that fields created with the wizzard act weird in reader x. Either that or wait for what ever the bug is in reader x to be fixed.
This fix works for all fields except digital signature which in reader X does not do anything when clicked.

  • Problems with calculations using fillable forms  via Adobe Reader

I have created a fillable form to use for our business. Our Tech's need to access these forms when working on job sites. I am able to access it on our Android Tablet via Adobe Reader, but all of the fields don't add/calculate   Is there a particular version of Adobe we should download to the Tablet in order for this to work?

Our latest update, 10.4, should support basic calcilations. If you find that this doesn't work for your document, then please email the document and a brief explanation of your problem to [email protected], so we can better understand what the problem is.

  • Selecting Multiple fields from fillable form in Adobe Reader

I created a form in Adobe Pro, and want to be able to select multiple fields to cut and paste the results in other parts of the form.
Does anyone know of a way to do this?
I would appreciate any help! Thankyou

Go to Form Edit mode, and then you can select multiple fields either in the Fields list, or on the page itself (using Ctrl), or by holding down the mouse and dragging the selection square over them. Then just Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V in the other page, and you'll get copies.
Edit: This can only be done in Acrobat, though. Your title talks about Reader but you post is about Acrobat...

  • How can I export multiple PDF fillable forms into a spreadsheet (Excel) using VBA?

    Hi guys,
I never used VBA with with Adobe Acrobat. I would like a tip to start doing that. What I would like to do know is:
1 - I have multiple PDF Forms that are filled.
2 - I want all the data from those forms to be exported to Excel via VBA code.
3 - Adobe Acrobat already have an option to do that manually (Forms > Merge Data Files Into Spreadsheet) and it works perfectly.
4 - I would like to access that feature using VBA, then generate a spreadsheet.
Any tips? How can I start?
    Thanks!

A good place to start is Karl Heinz Kremer's blog, where he has a few examples:

  • How do you save a PDF fillable form with a Samsung Tablet and still continue to have access to the original document?

We are using the Samsung Note and have uploaded a PDF form for fieldwork crews to enter vegetation data. When we have filled in the form there is no option to save the form under a different name but rather the form simply saves itself with the most recent information placed in it. We understand that you can send it through Acrobat.com to your account but the tablet will not access this site while in the PDF app. Does anyone know of an app or a way that we can create individually saved files and still have access to the original on the tablet?

It can also work if you certify the document and each user chooses to trust it to execute privileged JavaScript, which may be feasible in this setting. The method you'd use is doc.saveAs: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.524.html
