If you have an iCloud backup, restore it to your phone as explained here: https://support.apple.com/kb/ph12521. If you have a backup on your computer instead, restore it to your phone by connecting your phone to your computer, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Restore from Backup.

How can I load pics from camera without spaces in the filename (PSE5)

I want to load the pics from my Fuji Camera with my newly acquired Photoshop Elements 5 into its database as simple as possible. I get offered several ways of renaming the pics during the import. Unfortunately the date formats offered (for folder or filenames) do *all* include space characters " ", which I do not like, because this caused me earlier a lot of trouble when putting the pics online, for example (%20 in the path name). Another reason is my existing photo collection since 2001, which has no spaces in the filenames as well.
Example for the filename:
PSE offers: "jj mm dd 001.jpg"
I want : "jjmmdd_001.jpg" or at least "jj_mm_dd_001.jpg" or anything similar.
For folder names the same thing appears.
Is there a way to do that without typing each date without spaces by hand?
How?
I would like to have the photo load process as simple as possible, without having to remove the spaces with a separate rename tool.
Any ideas?
I searched for quite a while and I am surprised that nobody else seems to have this problem. Am I just too picky?

Ken, again thanks for your writing. IMHO, if PSE had space free filenames, this would lead to a very simple and fast workflow with PSE alone (!) like this: 1. Just connect my camera (Fuji F31fd) with the USB cable (no fiddling with the memory card in and out each time) 2. Transferring all (or selected) pics into PSE, one folder per day, named yymmdd_optional_theme_description. 3. Delete all non-optimal pics after viewing in PSE. Then tagging, pic-improving where needed .... 4. As backup, burn/move to CD from time to time and copy/move to an external HDD for double security. Its just the spaces in the filenames which prevents me from using this. I want to have the workflow well defined and fixed before I start using PSE5. But it seems there is no workaround (so far). Maybe I should just take the "trouble" and rename every folder manually within PSE. No problem with one or 2 days, and still not a very big problem after a 3 week holiday. But still all single photo files will have the spaces in them. If I want to avoid that, I really have to bring them to the PC without PSE, rename them as batch with Irfan or any other tool, and then import them to PSE, as you wrote. From my point of view, a lot of unnecessary hassle, especially if I have the simple workflow from above in mind. Many people seem not to be disturbed by the spaces in the filenames. I wonder if I overrate the disadvantage of it. Your opinion(s)? I am not sure what you mean with <Perhaps Ulrich would be well served if he created a collection of newly acquired pictures with a common theme.> In fact I want to come away from theme centered archiving the photos, which is what I did so far. When the image is displayed, try long-pressing it until a pop-up menu appears. In my test, it has these options:
* Share Image
* Copy Image Location
* Save Image
* Set Image As
Does that work for you?
I think if you choose Save Image, it should show up in your photo or gallery application. Watch for a download notification in the top bar.

Where in iCloud are they? If they are in your backup, restore the backup to your device. If they are in photo stream, sign into your iCloud account on your iOS device or computer and enable photo stream.

Restored my 4S. How to get pictures back from the cloud?

Background: I had a 3GS and on launchday of the 4S I picked one up. A white 32GB on AT&T to be exact.
I had been having some issues with the battery, so today I figured I'd try and start fresh. Well, I backed up everything on the cloud, and I also backed up everything onto the computer in iTunes when I did the restore.
I've got my music back. Cool.
I've got my apps back. Great.
I can't seem to figure out how to get my photos from the camera roll back. Nor do I know how or if it is even possible to get the photos and my old text messages back on this new restore. Also, none of my mail is coming back either.
I can see my most recent backup in the iphone settings under iCloud. And I can also see my most recent computer backup on the computer. But I'm not sure what I need to do.
Any help would be great. Thanks.

OK - understood.
There are a couple of ways of going about this. First, my recommended method:
Restore from a backup (so your photos, SMS etc are on the phone
Connect to iTunes
Set the phone to sync photos to a relevant app on your desktop (what app depends whether you're Windows or Mac) - this gets your pics onto the desktop and safe.
If you want to save SMS, use PhoneView (Mac) or TouchCopy (Windows) or similar to copy them off the phone
Restore the phone as a new device
Get the photos back the way you got music etc back - via iTunes sync
The second method entails using one of the utuilities around the place that can extract from the backup - I have no experience with them, so I don't know how well they work. That's why I go for the first method - simpler, more robust.

I have a Mac book pro with iPhoto updated to iPhoto 11 we have 2 users on our Mac myself and my husband. I recently loaded all of our pictures from a recent trip into iPhoto under my login screen. Can these photos also be transferred into my husbands iPhoto library under his login screen ? I want to transfer some not all of them and already deleted them from the camera card.

Use iPhoto Sharing.
If you want the other user to be able to see the pics, but not add to, change or alter your library, then enable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and use Fast User Switching to open the other account. In that account, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. Your Library will appear in the other source pane.
Any user can drag a pic from the Shared Library to their own in the iPhoto Window.
Remember iPhoto must be running in both accounts for this to work.

I have the same problem but in reverse. I clicked on don't allow in FaceBook when I was asked to allow it to access my photos and videos. I have been into the privacy settings as suggested by FaceBook and there is no link.

This is my first time using the forum so sorry if it's not professionally set up. I am trying to make an inventory system and I'm trying to find a way to have a Slot (MovieClip) holding a child of probably another MovieClip witch will display the icon according to whatever is in that Slot... As soon as I figure out how to have a MovieClip display an image and then change that image by loading it from the library, I can finish the rest! So let me try to demonstrate:

Alright so let's get down to buisness... what I'm asking, is it impossible to make it simple? I can't just change the bitmap of the MovieClip. If you open up the MovieClip and view it's timeline, the image is a bitmap file withing that MovieClip so if you're able to manipulate other things of a MovieClip, you should be able to manipulate that too right? Such as "MovieClip.Bitmap" (I know that's not the actual property but could it be done?).
