You can't find them in the Videos app, and you don't have a film age rating set in Settings > General > Restrictions that might be hiding them ? You should also be able to see what films are on your iPad via Settings > General > Usage > Videos (the Usage screen should list all of your apps with the amunt of storage that they are taking up).
For what support told you, iOS devices have a search screen which allows you to search for items on the device. On iOS 7 you pull down the centre of the iPad's screen (not from right at the top of the screen) and you should get a search field at the top of it - try typing the name of one of your films and see if that finds it (the swipe left ot right on your homescreen was how you accessed the search screen on previous versions of iOS).
If neither the Usage nor the search finds them then do they show in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app on your iPad for re-downloading ? Or do you have copies of them on your computer or on your backup of your downloads that you can use to sync them back to your iPad ?

If you're viewing the Purchased screen and see a cloud icon next to the movie, it isn't on the iPad and you can hide it by swiping.
What is the available storage on the iPad? You can check by tapping Settings > General > Usage. Try looking through the list of apps and removing something that you don't think you want anymore, if there is anything. I'm guessing you're gonna need a few gigs free to avoid running into the download/playback problems.

Believe you will find it takes the same "bandwidth" usage to either view or download a file from your server.
As to the "auto download" of a standalone movie, I don't believe you can force that. You can, however, allow FTP downloads of such files or allow the saving of cached files from either the browser player or the QT Player application if the viewer has QT Pro. You can also use/send QTL (QT Media Link) files which can do the same thing (i.e., they look/function like a standalone file but are actually a reference file linked to an uploaded movie).

No not an error message. Whilst I am transferring the document there is "o" with a strike through it and this symbol is carried along with the file that I am transferring (if ya know what I mean). It may actually be my actual hard drive. For example, I tried to rename the hard drive and right clicked on it and went to the "get info" tab and, where I should be able to change the title of the hard drive, it is greyed out and cannot change the name.
But I am more concerned with transferring files to my hard drive to be honest.

You can try contacting iTunes support, but the terms of the iTunes store state that movies are a one time download. If you live in the U.K. then the feature is not available to you. That is why you don't see the tab for movies in the Purchased tab in iTunes. Having the receipts to prove that you bought the movies doesn't matter. The terms of the store are still what they are.

Well I changed the email for the same account, however I used '.com' instead of '.co.uk' which obviously caused alot of complications. After about an hour on the phone this is all sorted out now and I am left with one apple id, but this is still happening. If this makes no sense to anyone I don't blame you as it took me a good half hour to get my own head round it.

Movies from any legal download store will carry copy protection and hence cannot be edited, and ripping of DVDs and Blu-Ray disks is illegal in most countries. So there is no quite probably no legal way to accomplish what you wish to do, though there may be absolutely nothing that would be wrong about what you intend.

On your iPad is an App named Videos. It is native to iPad, just like the Settings App is native to iPad.
If you can't find it, on your home page swipe the page to the right to reveal the search bar. Type in Videos in the search bar and it will take you to your Videos App.
