  • How do I change the admin password in SJSWS 7.0?

I've googled this, searched the forums, read the manual, but I haven't found anything that explained how to change the admin password for SJSWS 7.0. So, right now I'm stuck with "adminadmin" as the password, which I think is the default since I don't remember specifying that during install. Clearly I can't use this in production with the default admin password... sorry if this is a rtfm question, but I really didn't see anything in the manual about changing the admin password. Thanks!

You could use the following CLI command:-
    wadm> set-admin-prop --set-password
    More information about the command:-
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-3283/set-admin-prop-1?a=view
You could also use Administration console-
    - Login to the Administration Console and click on the Nodes tab
    - In the Nodes page, click on the Administration Server link within the Nodes table
    - Go to "Administration Server Preferences" section in the General page and change the password

  • How do I change the admin password on my MacBook pro

I have forgotten my password and I don't want to wipe my hard drive how do I change the password?
    I have done the following:
Rebooted selected a language, it then went right back to the installer but there was no change password as an option.
Under disk utility it was not high lighted.

First, make sure caps lock is not on.
Another reason why your password might not be recognized is that the keyboard layout (input source) has been switched without your realizing it. At the login screen, you can cycle through the available layouts by pressing the key combination command-space or command-option-space. See this support article.
You must back up all data before continuing, unless you've already done so. If you need to back up but can't log in, ask for instructions.
If the user account is associated with an Apple ID, and you know the Apple ID password, then maybe the Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
Otherwise*, boot into Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. In the Terminal window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but your Keychain will be reset (empty.) If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it.
*Note: If you've activated FileVault, this procedure doesn't apply. Follow instead these instructions.

  • How to find/reset the admin password?

    Hi,
I'm new to this. The admin userid/password that was successfully used in the past in not being recognized now.
I was trying to log in to Adobe LiveCycle ES ver 8.2 from http://localhost:8080/adminui/login.faces and receive the message "Username and password do not match".
Is there a way for me to reset the userid/password ? I cannot reset a user's password before accessing thie admin account first.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thank You.
    Yajiv

Some people have had success in LC ES 8.2 with running the following SQL statement on the LiveCycle backend database.  It re-sets the password of the 'Super Administrator' user to 'password':
    UPDATE adobe.edcprincipallocalaccountentity, adobe.edcprincipaluserentity
    SET  password = 'TXScDjEEQCzWccUMUdf8wijx/hE=', salt =  'JNIBnmos3d0WE9W8oquFIQ=='
    WHERE  adobe.edcprincipallocalaccountentity.refuserprincipalid =  adobe.edcprincipaluserentity.id and adobe.edcprincipaluserentity.uidstring =  'administrator';
    adobe  = the schema name
This is risky - if something goes wrong, you will have to re-bootstrap.

  • HT4628 How do I find the WPA password, so I can connect NETFLIX?

How do I locate the WPA password to connect to NETFLIX from a SONY Blue Ray DVD Player?

Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ If you’re running Mac OS X 10.7 or later, open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the page that opens.
Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window.
If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
Click the column headed Kind in the list of keychain items to arrange the list by kind. Look for an item of type "AirPort network password" that has the same name as your network. Double-click that item and check the box labeled Show password. Enter your keychain password (same as your login password) when prompted.

The files that weren't inside the media folder on the original machine need to be copied over to exactly the same paths as they had on the source machine. See this thread for an ongoing discussion of a similar problem. See also this post on migrating the iTunes library.

  • How to create a script to unmount a disk not permanently without typing the admin password?

    Hello everybody!
My problem is the following: I have  a macbook Pro with a Bootcamp partition, which is also virtualized by Virtualbox. I managed to make it work following different online guides that share all the main little side issue: if I don't want to dismount forever your Bootcamp disk from the running OS X, I have to use some "sudo" commands that requires me to type my admin password. In order to do so, I have to open the Terminal, type the string, type the password and then, only then, I can use the virtualized version. Well, since these ones are computer machines, born to work on repetitive and tedious processes, I'd like to automate that.
I have a little script, which doesn't work, that I'm showing you (Let's say I wrote it to make it clear to you what I would like the machine to do):
do shell script "sudo chmod 777 /dev/disk0s4"
    tell application "Finder"
        if exists "BOOTCAMP" then
      --Eject BOOTCAMP Volume if Mounted
do shell script "sudo umount -f /Volumes/BOOTCAMP"
        end if
    end tell
    --Launch Virtual Machine
do shell script "vboxmanage startvm BtCmp-Win7"
What I'm now asking you is the following:
    (a) is there a way to make it work without using my admin passaword? (... I really think the answer is no... )
    (b) if the answer to (a) is no: is there a way to make a little window pop up to ask me to write the admin password and make everything work?
    (c) I would like the disk to be remounted automatically once I Quit the VirtualBox application, how could I do that?
Well, I hope some kind hearted one can help me

I would agree with you if there was always an Internet connection available and the the Apple Servers were always in operation.  In those instances when this is not the case, a USB installation drive is good to have.  I speak from experience.
