How do I lock an app on my iPad so my students can't close it with the home button
How do I lock an app on my iPad so my students can't close the app by pressing the home button?
Settings > General > Acessibility > Guided Access. Enter the app, and triple click the home button. Just tap Guided Access and it's locked in the app. You can even draw on areas of the screen that you don't want them to tap. It's amazing, isn't it ?

I can't double click on the home button to switch between apps, or to close them. This happened after I updated to ios 7.1
Swiping up from the bottom of the screen with four fingers did not bring up the app preview. A single press on the home button still brings me back to the home screen, but a double press of the home button does nothing following updating to 7.1 Given that, when I added a software home button as suggested by DIAVONEX, I found that all of the apps WERE still open! So thank you DIAVONEX, and you should be careful, bobseufert, as your information was inaccurate.( I did try turning it off and that didn't change anything. ) I don't really want a software home button on my screen, but I guess I will use it until either there is another update to resolve this glitch or someone else identifies a quirky setting that I inadvertently activated...

I would like to know how to sincronize my IPhone 4 with a new computer. Thank you
Same way you synced it with the old one.
Make sure you have copied everything from the old computer, or your backup copy of the old computer, to the new one.
What problem are you having? -
I contacted my service provider and they told me to codec my iPhone to iTines on a computer, and follow the direction to set my hone back to the factory settings, I have nothing on it yet so I tried this, the iTunes Icon comes up with a lock under it. The phone vibrates part way through the process and still won't unlock. Now what do I do?
Sorry I didn't mean to hit the other button! But I did that suggestion three different times yesterday and it didn't seem to work! Still locked out of my phone! And when I turned it on just now it did the same thing, ( vibrated and wouldn't unlock)! Only this time it told me to connect to iTunes! But last night when I did this iTunes had a lock on it!

I have microsoft documents on a usb drive; how do I get them to my ipad so that I can work on them from my ipad. is there an attachment I need to purchase or what?
I have no idea if it would work but you may want to try using the iPad camera connect kit with the USB stick.

it says its in recovery mode but idk for sure
iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

How do I remove an app from my ipad that is stuck in paused mode?
Tap the app so that it can complete then delete it by holding your finger on the app until it starts to wiggle then tap the "x" in the left top corner. This is the iPad guide. http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iPad_iOS4_User_Guide.pdf

How do I sync an app from my iPad to my I phone
How do I sync a program on my iPad to my iPhone? I have a calendar app on my iPad, and I want to be able to see the same info on my iPhone.
Provided the App is compatible with the iPhone, first sync your iPad with iTunes then when you next sync your phone using iTunes, click your iPhone in the left hand column, then click the Apps Tab in the line of Tabs running near the top of the screen, now search for the App you want to include on your phone. Click to select it and when your phone has finished its current sync, then click the sync button.
ITunes will show you what Apps you have on your iPhone and iPad respectively, when they are connected to your computer. If you find, as I did, that all the Apps on my iPhone were synced across to my iPad when I performed its first sync, you can get things organised by deselecting the Apps you don't want on a device. One you have done this iTunes will remember your choices. -
Is there a Way to lock apps or disable the home button?
I often allow my 16 month old to play toddler games on my iPhone. He knows how to slide his finger to unlock the phone and he loves pressing and holding the home button to activate Siri so he can talk to her! LOL! I am worried that he will accidently delete or move an app to another screen by accident so is there a way to prevent that from happening. Also while he plays his games, he likes to press the home button which closes him out of his game. Is there a way to disable the home button so he can just stay within his toddler games?
You can use Guide Access to restrict your child to using a single app. See:

How does this happen: The picture of recent apps you get when double clicking the home button showed in Settings-Wifi that I had been connected to a network I have not been near for two months. Its not a recent "image" of Settings-Wifi. Can anyone explain?
Greetings,
I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.
Good Luck - Cheers,
M. -
So my sister locked my iPod for 44 years and the home button is broken and pushed in and doesn't work how am i supposed to reset it now?
If you can't remember your passcode, you'll have to restore it to remove the passcode, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212.
If you're running iOS 7 with Fid My iPod enabled, in order to restore it you'll have to force it into recovery mode as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808, or erased it using Find My iPhone on icloud.com if your home button isn't working (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmfc0ef36f). -

How to transfer my friends apps to my ipad 2? Because all the free games are so boring? Please help me!!!!
To do this you would need to download the apps using his apple id
You can use more than one apple id with apps, but switching them frequently will cause the dreaded wait 90 days issue. -
How do I get my apps from my ipad to mac pro
How do I get my apps from my ipad to macbook pro
You use the Transfer Purchases function in iTunes. This will only put the applications into the computer's iTunes library for storage or transport; running them on your computer requires the Mac OS X version, which is a separate product, and if the developer chooses, a separate purchase.
