How do I lock my Units & Increments to inches in my Preferences?
Everytime I create a new document it automatically defaults back to picas and not inches.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
Make the changes you want with no documents open. This will cause them to apply to all subsequent new documents. Anything you change with a document open will apply to that document only.

Sorry, but if you did not set up Find My iPhone, then unless your iPhone is set up with a company Microsoft Exchange server or other mobile device management system, there is no way to wipe the iPhone of its data, though if you had a screen lock in it, the thieves/finder will probably restore it and wipe the data anyway. There is no way to lock the iPhone permanently to prevent someone from using your iPhone, though you can report the loss to your cell carrier and they may be able to blacklist it from connecting to their network.

How do I change the tracking increment?
I used to change it in Preferences > Units & Increments .... Where is it now? I'd like to change the keyboard increments from 20 to 1 ...
(using a macbook pro running 10.5.8/using PS extended CS4). Thanks in advance for the direction.
Cheers.You are getting confused with Illustrator, there has never been an 'increment' setting like this in Photoshop
If you are using the arrows to nudge layers then it depends on how close you are zoomed, how big the increment is. Holding down the The Shift key as you nudge, will multiply that increment by a factor of 10 -
Photoshop CC - keyboard shortcut unit increments
Hi everyone. InDesign and Illustrator both have the options in their preferences to set unit increments that relate to altering type attributes such as font size, kerning, tracking, leading with keyboard shortcuts. For instance I like to be able to adjust tracking by 1/1000 em, leading by 1pt etc.
However, I can't find any way to set Photoshop up to do a similar thing. It defaults to 20/1000 em tracking increment. Anybody know a way to change that I don't?

How did you delete the Photoshop preferences. If you did that manually (very bad idea) try it the proper way:

It locks automatically when you hold it to your head.
If it fails to do this, then remove the case and see if it solves it.
If it does not, then do the basics - restart, reset, restore.
If that does not solve it, then make an appointment at the genius bar. -

The button on the top that you use to lock and unlock or put to sleep is the power button. The button lower center of the screen is the home button...can be used to also wake from sleep and switch to the base home screen.

You can change this from: Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Sign out and sign in with new ID, but you will have to pay again to download apps that you already have in your old account. Or leave it as it is to share purchases with your son. -

I previously could lock tables in my Numbers tables in my Spreadsheets by tapping the top left corner and it would show up as an option to lock it. As of Numbers 2.0 (noticed today), I get the option to unlock tables, but not to relock them after making the corrections.

I have a computer which I let several other people use, but I don't want them to have access to the internet. I would like to see if there is a "lock" choice so that no one else can access the internet - or another means? I've tried to select "Lock" to the whole computer (when it gives you the "lock," "shut down," "sleep," etc. choices - and it says the computer is locked but the next time I try it it opens the computer (and internet) just like it never was "locked" so I don't even know how to effectively lock the whole computer either as a second option to block access ot the internet!
I had the same problem (issue with Google Apps and XUL runner etc) of needing to downgrade. To pull it off I went to the main Firefox download page (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/new/) and followed the link to OTHER SYSTEMS AND LANGUAGES which took me to a page that included a link on the right hand side to download Firefox 3.6.16.
(The stuff below pertains to Windows. If you are on a different OS your steps will vary)
To do the actual downgrade (and there may be some other steps that would be wise to take but this is what worked for me) I merely renamed "c:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox" to "c:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox bad" (in case I want to try troubleshooting the issue later) and then ran the "Firefox Setup 3.6.16.exe" file that downloaded from that link. That solved my problem and I'm back and running 3.6.16.
In case you don't feel comfortable changing things in your Program Files directory you might try a different approach and try uninstalling via the Control Panel and Add and Remove Programs (or whatever it is called on the version of Windows you are on) and then running the installation file. I didn't go that route so I can't tell you how well that might work. -
how can i lock my screen on my iphone that was stolen tonite, i already suspended the service to the phone, but apparantly there is a way thru icloud to lock screen and when i log into icloud, i do not see the option to select devices. if so, that is where i can lock the screen, but i can not seem to get to that.
