Recently removed skype from my iphone by accident. Re-installed now I cannot log in. Tells me my skype name doesn't exist even though I have had my contacts CONFIRM my name!!! I have reset password several times! Still doesn't work.
When I try and run through "I have forgotten my skype name" link on the Skype website, it just gets me to reset my microsoft account password AGAIN WTF!!!! Then I stilll cannot log into SKYPE!!! Why is this so f******g difficult????????????

You did create a second Skype account based on your Microsoft account email (NB: That's not necessarily a @live.com or @outlook.com email address, since you can sign up for a Microsoft account using any email address as identifier).
To resolve this situation please:
Sign in with your Microsoft account at www.skype.com/go/myaccount
Delete this Skype account based on your Microsoft account by following the "unlink" instructions: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA12211/how-do-i-unlink-my-skype-account-from-my-microsoft-or-faceb...
After you've done this please re-enter the password recovery flow for your Skype account and use your email address again. This time around - since no Skype account based on that email as Microsoft account exists - you should be able to recover your password.

How can I figure out what my password is and keep it unlocked? Every time I do a system update, it requires the password and sends me into cyber trouble with the remember my keychain access, requiring it every time I log in. A real hassle to be avoided

How can I find out what my password on the computer is? I had to change it due to my teenagers helping themselves, and now every time there is a system update, I have to have the password, which I cannot remember or find. It then wants it every time I log in and pops up Key Chain Access as well. Very annoying. I do not have the disc to reload it and fear I would loose everything on my computer as there is also trouble with the back up system. Too many issues and not enough solutions. Why not? You need your system dvds to troubleshoot & to reset/change passwords in view of your current OS listed in your profile.
You can get replacement System Install & Restore CD/DVDs from Apple's Customer Support - in the US, (800) 767-2775 - for a nominal S&H fee. You'll need to have the model and/or serial number of your Mac available.

When selecting passwords, make sure it's one that you will NEVER forget AND no one else can figure out.
Old school--- > Print it out & keep in a safe place. A place that ONLY you know about AND never forget.
New school---> Get a password manager utility. Highly recommend 1Password which is shareware. Do a Google search for free password managers.

Resetting User Account Password (10.7 +)
1) Boot into your Recovery Partition holding down command + R at the startup chime
2) Select 'Terminal' from your Utilities Menu Bar
3) Type the following bolded command in: resetpassword
4) From the window that appears, select your boot volume and the appropriate user account
5) Type in the new password and confirm the new password
6) Click Save, close this pane and quit Utilities
7) Select your boot volume when presented with choose startup disk and reboot your machine

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can't de-authorise just the computers you no longer have access to.
Your only option is to de-authorise all your computers and then re-authorise those you wish to be authorised. You can do this by logging into your account settings in iTunes on your computer (Store > View My ID) and selecting the option to de-authorise all.
Please note however, you are only permitted to do this once in each 12 month period, therefore you would be better de-authorising your computers before you lose access to them. you can do this from the 'Store' menu in iTunes.

What kind of use do you make of your MBP? A lot of photo or video? If so, you may be storing a lot of large files. Look at Finder and see what the file system looks like. Do you have large libraries of data files associated with applications?
You may want to think about an external hard drive to use for backups and data storage, you can point applications to the external drive as the default storage location.

I bought their Mercury Elite Pro 2 TB dirve last September and set it up to use part for Time Machine backup and part for other work space. Setup with Disk utility into two partitions is very quick and easy. Just remember to format as Extended Journaled with GUID partition table. Setting the partition sizes is by using a braphical image on screen in DU so it is like falling off a log, so easy.

The best method is to create a new user for you so that way it is a brand new iTunes library so you can see what has been purchased. Once you are done, then that user account can be deleted once you have deauthorize and signed out of that account. Take a look at the article below for more information.

I did not want it so uninstalled it immediately. I think in that process something was deleted that I need for iTunes but I do not know what. How do i figure out what is gone and recover it?

Try downloading and installing the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware. Update your MBAM definitions and then run a full scan of the PC. (Takes about 2 hour on my Lenovo.)
