You can't do that directly.
You can import a radio station into iTunes and stream via AirPlay to the Apple TV, or from an iOS device using AirPlay

Can't Login to YouTube on Apple TV (3rd Gen) (YT and Gmail merged)
So, I am unable to log in to my YouTube account on my Apple TV (3rd Gen). I have read a lot of suggestions and nothing has helped. In like 2006 I got my YouTube User Name, then in like 2009 I got my Gmail. Google bought YouTube, they merged so I have a YouTube UN and Gmail Account. I've tried logging in with each. I've tried using the the 2-step verification, and application specific password. But to no avail, not working. Im getting either this Username can't be used on this device for the gmail account log in info. And unable to login with this Username/password for YouTube UN.
Anyone have any suggestions! This is really frustrating!
Thanks BradI had problems back way back in the day with my gmail login so I made a new one (youtube user) for test and that worked fine
not even sure it's possible anymore to make a pure youtube user you can troubleshoot by checking if it is -
How Do I Remove Album Artwork from Apple TV (2nd gen) Screen Saver
I can't stand looking at pixelated album artwork of, say, Dr. Dre's "The Chronic" when I'm listening to "Le nozze di Figaro." How can I get the album artwork off the Apple TV without losing the artwork on my iPod Touch.
I've selected Settings > Screen Saver and then under "Photo Screen Savers" I've picked the photo album I want. (It took 15 minutes to load 1800 images.) But the stupid album artwork keeps showing up. Turns out I should've listened to my friend who said never update iTunes or AppleTV software because it won't improve your quality of life. Too true. Help please!BTW -- I'm using a MacBook Pro that's less than 8 mos old, running OSX ver 10.7.5. No other problems with computer, iTunes, iPhoto or Apple TV.

I am using Apple ipod 2nd gen with IOS 4.2.1 . No i recently updated my IOS and all my apps were deleted. Now when i download IBOOKS it needs IOS 5. How do i get the apps which are copatible with IOS 4.2.1 or IPOS 2nd GEN??
You should always have your apps on your computer. If you have failed to keep a copy of the old app versions, then you cannot get them back at all.

You should really read the manual.

Restore. When given the choice, choose to use backup.

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer. -

I've just upgraded my Apple TV 2nd gen, and iTunes on my Mac.
I can't figure it out. Is it possible to play iTunes LP content ("CDs extras") on Apple TV?No, only AppleTV 1 did that and until recently ony AppleTV 1 did iTunes Extras.
iTunes Extras have just been added so maybe hope for itunes LP, though I gather Extras is streaming only and old itunes downloaded Extras may (I haven't tested yet) be incompatible. -

When I go to play my rented movie on Apple TV (2nd gen.) I get the message the movie is unavailable, try again later. It's been unavailable for over a week now. How do I get credit or make it play?

I rented two movies on my apple TV 2nd gen. and they won't play.
When we try to play them it tries to load it and then says there is a loading error and try again later, but it never works.
Has anyone else had similar? Does anyone know what's wrong and how to fix it?Same issue. Apple has my $4.99 and I have no movie!

Apple TV (2nd gen and 3rd gen) run do run a variant of iOS.
I'm not in the developer program so I don't know when an update will be available but clearly it is not available at the moment. Two possible reasons, Apple is holding off so their servers are less loaded as the more "mainstream" iOS devices update, or they simply haven't finished developing the Apple TV iOS 6 release yet.
I saw a youtube video from someone in the developer program demonstrating that one of the new feautres is that you can rearrange the icons on rows 2 and down. So if that is something that is exciting for you, then you have that to look forward to. I don't know what other features will be part of the next release. -

MacBook Pro Early 2011 - Airplay Mirroring only sends audio to Apple TV 2nd Gen
Ok, I'm stumped by this one. I have a 15" MBP Early 2011 edition and an Apple TV 2nd Gen. Airplay Mirroring from my MBP to Apple TV only transmits the audio -- the MBP will resize the screen like it's connected to a 16:9 device, and Apple TV will show a black screen like it's about to pick up the video signal, but no video transmits. A couple of times, video started transmitting, but it was about 30 seconds delayed (?!) and extremely choppy. Both devices are connected wirelessly to a Linksys router with 5 GHz (wireless N) capabilities. The router has been configured to Apple's recommendations for Airplay Mirroring.
A little more about my MacBook Pro:

OS: 10.8.2 Mountain Lion
CPU: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 2 GHz
Number of Processors: 1
Total Number of Cores: 4

This problem is driving me crazy! Airplay works flawlessly between my iPhone 5 and Apple TV, but not with a much more powerful laptop. Also, I tried Mirroring from a friend's 13" MacBook Pro, and it did the same thing.

He has an Early-2011 MacBook Pro, which does meet the requirements. The issue is that it is running OS X 10.7.5 and needs to be upgraded to Mountain Lion to use mirroring. -
1 Apple TV 2nd Gen, Windows 7 Computer with multiple user accounts
The issue that I am having is I have 1 Apple TV 2nd Gen and Windows 7 Computer with multiple user accounts.
When I log onto my Windows user account, open up Itunes and turn on home sharing my Apple TV work perfect but if another family member switches to their Windows user account without logging me out, the home share shows up on Apple TV but it just says "Loading ... Library" and never loads.
If we switch back to my user account, restart iTunes, everything is fine. Is there a way to keep my home share active in ATV2 across multiple user accounts? All of my video is under my account.You can home-share multiple libraries but only use one account at a time.
