How do I ?? - LR Tracking Image Locations

I have searched high and low for an answer and I am no closer to finding the "magic" setting to turn off this annoyance, so perhaps someone can help.
If I right click a file in LR 2.1 and select edit in Photoshop, the first thing I do is save my file to a separate location where I store all my edited photos. I then process my file and normally end up creating a JPEG from that PSD file. Lightroom tracks all the files I create from the original DNG file I first selected to edit and adds these files into the catalogue.
How do I prevent Lightroom from doing this? I do not want Lightroom to keep adding stuff to the catalogue without my approval/consent and it's annoying having to run around removing stuff from my catalogue. If this is not possible could Adobe please add an option into a future version allowing users to turn OFF Image Tracking??
Thanks in advance.

It's doing exactly what it should do, keeping track of your pictures.
If you don't want it to do so, either use Export and select PS as the post processing action, or carry on using Edit With and copy the contents of the LR-generated file into a new document - you can do this with an action and a keyboard shortcut.

  • How to Retrieve all Azure Images located to "East Asia"

I'm using Azure Powershell to retrieve all Windows Azure VM Images, can I filter it to show only available images located in "East Asia"?

    Hi,
Please have a look at below article.
    Here is a snippet.
modify the script to include logic to select images that are only available in the desired data center location.
    $images = Get-AzureVMImage `
    | where { $_.ImageFamily -eq "Windows Server 2012 Datacenter" } `
        | where { $_.Location.Split(";") -contains "West US"} `
        | Sort-Object -Descending -Property PublishedDate
Using the above snippet, only the most recent version of the “Windows Server 2012 Datacenter” image that is supported in the “West US” datacenter will be returned.
    Hope this helps.
    Best Regards,
    Jambor

  • Dynamic Image Location?

    Hi Experts
How can I use Dynamic Image location in my Crystal Reports?
    Thnaks in advance
    AG

    Techy Guy,
In the properties of your image, you can set the location as a formula. Here, you can set the path by IF-ELSE statements:
IF {letter.city} IN ["Arnemuiden","Kleverskerke","Middelburg","Middleburg","Nieuw- en Sint Joosland","Sint Laurens"]
    OR LowerCase({letter.city}) LIKE "*joosland"
    THEN ".\Middelburg.png"
    ELSE
        IF {letter.city} IN ["Oost-Souburg","Ritthem","Vlissingen"]
        THEN ".\Vlissingen.png"
        ELSE ".\Middelburg.png"
In this formula, the logo will be depending on a the city the recipient is in. If the city is not in one of these two options, Middelburg.png will be used as default (to have at least a logo in the letter).
You could even use a field to define the image name:
    ".\Flags\" + {Customers_.Country} + ".png"
will point to the directory 'Flags' in the same directory as your report is. Here, it will locate the .png file having the same name as the country field in the customers database (i.e. France.png).

  • How can I find the location of an i-pod shuffle, nano and touch that i have synced to my account? I have had each one stolen and would be so relieved if i could track there location as I know they are still in the county I live.

How can I find the location of an i-pod shuffle, nano and touch that i have synced to my account? I have had each one stolen and would be so relieved if i could track there location as I know they are still in the county I live.
Also if i cant locate them can i at least remotely delete the libraries, and lock them so they are unusable to the thiefs, and i had a sony laptop worth £2000 stolen which I had used my apple account for a year is there anyway i can track that or retrieve the contents and delete them?
Please if anybody knows reply or contact me!!!! =-)
    many thanks

You or Apple can do nothing to prevent use of the devices.
For the iPod touch if you turned on the FindMyiPod feature and wifi is on and connected yu may be ablt ot locate it and wipe it by going to iCloud, signing in and going to FindMyiPhone. However, if the iPOd is rectored that feature is deleted.
Report to police and change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod.

  • How to display an image located in the WEB-INF directory?

Basically, When a user registers, they a directory is created with their username that holds images that they can upload. How do I display those images. All I am holding in the database is the location of the images.
    ive tried
    <img src="/WEB-INF/users/testuser/picture.jpg" />
but this doesnt work and for obvious security reasons shouldnt.. but is there another way of doing what i want to do? perhaps a custom tag? thanks
    Jazz

You would have to write a generic servlet that would return an image
<img src="/getImage?user=testuser&pic=picture.jpg" />Your servlet would basically fetch the file from under web-inf, and then stream it back to the user.
    Methods to use:
servletContext.getRealPath() (to help find the file on disk), relative to your web app
    getOutputStream (as opposed to getWriter)
It is only in this way that you can access files on the server outside of the public web directories.
    Hope this helps

  • How to see who is tracking my location

can someone track my location from thier computer and how can i see who it is

Not unless they have your Apple ID and password.
If you suspect that someone does, change the password and security questions.

  • Firefox tracks location, how could I remotely find my location history?

Hi there, I know that Firefox tracks my location to customize search results, gather information, etc. etc. My laptop was recently stolen and I was wondering if I can remotely access this location history...

Firefox doesn't store location data, all it does is make your location available to certain websites (if you allow it). For example, you visit google maps, you can allow google maps to know your location to make search results more relevant.
    [http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/geolocation/ http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/geolocation/]
    [https://developer.mozilla.org/En/Using_geolocation https://developer.mozilla.org/En/Using_geolocation]
I'm sorry about your situation, but i don't think Firefox's locatoins services will be of any use to you, unless you somehow set up a website, had the thief visit the website using Firefox, allow sharing the location and you knew it was your laptop, an somehow capture the location data from the website. And even then the results are only so accurate (I believe several hundred feet can be the margin of error). Your best results will be to contact the police (which I'm sure you've already done).

  • How can i control what images load on my project to save preload time and avoid loading all images, elements, divs not yet visible?

    Sup buddies,
How can I control what images load on my project to save preload time and avoid loading all images, elements, divs not yet visible?
As the project grows in size the load time increases. How does one control not loading all images ,divs, elements etc. until they're
needed on the timeline? For example some sections are off and only become visible when recalled. My projects slowly grow in size so loading
all images , is counter productive . My other option would be to create separate htmls but that breaks the seamless user experience .
    TY...Over N Out...

    hello, kiwi
quote: "Is there an easy way to burn a completed project to DVD, but keep only the (lo res, lo size) previews on my hard drive?"
    yes.
    maybe,...
    1. you might think of making DVD backups first prior to importing the photos into Aperture. "Store Files: In their current location" once in Aperture make low rez Previews, and export finished Project.
    or,
    2. bring in the photographs to hard drive first prior to importing the photos into Aperture. "Store Files: In their current location" once in Aperture make low rez Previews, and export finished Project.
the low rez Previews will stay in Aperture but the high quality Versions will be exported onto DVDs and gone from the hard drive (if you delete the originals).
another way would be to export small about 50-70 pixel wide high quality jpegs to a folder on your Desktop and import & keep these in Aperture Library as a reference. make metadata to show where the original Project DVDs are stored and DVD filing system used.

  • How can I attach an image without the image is in the email body? (using the new mail the Lion)

How can I attach an image without the image is in the email body? (using the new mail the Lion)
I want in attachment, not in the body mail.

I think your only solution is to zip the image files first and then attach them.
Read this from a site I found:
Sending Graphical Attachments -- When you attach a graphical image to your message, the recipient of your message sees the image inline (that is, in the body of the message) if her email client supports inline display. ("Take Control of Email with Apple Mail" contains a table listing the capabilities of popular Mac and PC email clients.) If a client does not support inline display (or the recipient has turned off the inline display option), the file appears as an attachment that must be opened in a separate program.
On the one hand, an inline image is easier for the recipient to see - all she has to do is look at it. On the other hand, inline images can be frustrating to scroll through. If you do not wish to send a graphical image inline, you must compress the file before attaching it - Mail, sadly, lacks a built-in compression option, though fortunately for Panther users, the Finder offers Zip compression without requiring a separate application.
Note that when you compose a new message, Mail always shows attachments in the body of your message. You can manually drag them somewhere else, but many email clients display all attachments in a separate list, regardless of where you place them in the message body.
If you paste an image into a message or drag & drop an image from another window (say, a Web browser), Mail converts the raw image data to an attachment in TIFF format. On the other hand, if you drag & drop the icon of an image file (or use the Attach button to locate the file using the file browser), Mail leaves the attached image in its original format. This difference is significant, because although most email clients can display JPEG images just fine, support for TIFF - especially in non-Mac email clients - is less common. If possible, I suggest attaching image files as opposed to pasting or dragging in raw image data.

  • How can I get Tracker to find a shared review PDF initiated in another domain?

I initiated a shared review for a PDF and stored it on a network server in domain X. Subseqauently, the server was moved into a different domain, call it Y.
Now, Acrobat Tracker can't find the PDF ... and reviewers can no longer  access the PDF.
How can I get Tracker to find the PDF in the new domain Y?

No, this is not possible. You need to initiate the review again. This is because the review server information is embedded inside the PDF and when you change the review server, the JavaScript embedded in PDF still refers to the old server. So Tracker is unable to locate the review PDF.
If the old review has comments by other reviewers, you can save it as an archive and initiate review on new server on this new PDF. This way all the review comments can be retained in the PDF but they will be published "on behalf of" the initiator now.
    Hope that helps.

  • How to insert or upload image in RichTextEditor ?

    Hello everyone,
I am new to flex and trying to design a full-fledged RichTextEditor in flex builder,Can anyone tell me how to add or upload image
in RichTextEditor at users cursor location ?
also user should be able to resize and move the image around the text editor.

It can be done in either. There are 3 steps.
Learn about greenscreen (keying) including lighting, filming, best formats for video (the way they do it in the weather segment) or masking and roto.
learn about image editing including sizing images, color correcting, applying effects
learn about controlling motion and editing duration of stills in a NLE or After Effects
When you have a few of these basics down and have designed your production you then load up the video and the stills, key out the background or mask around your talent to separate the talent from the background, add your photos to the time line and animate their duration and position.
This is extremely basic stuff that can be accomplished in a NLE or in AE. You can basically reproduce just about any effect you've ever seen in a movie in AE with the right planning and plug-ins. You can do just about anything you've ever seen in a news broadcast in any modern NLE.

  • How to tell if an Image is loaded using Toolkit.getImage()

If I use Toolkit.getImage(url) it always returns an Image object, no matter if the image located at that url is a correct image or not.
The w/h is always -1, -1 right after loading (since it hasn't been loaded completely of course).
Anyone know how I can tell if a correct image is loaded or not, without adding a MediaTracker?

Why don't you want to use a MediaTracker? It is by far the most convenient way to do what you want to do.

  • How do I insert an image in a div box?

OK I've got a seemingly small issue I have to iron out to update our homepage after our graphics person decided to stop showing up to work.  If you need to view the page source it is located here - http://www.rugged-cctv.com/indextestvideo2.shtml
    1. In the image listed below on the red title of the youtube video I have inserted a Rugged Cams logo image that needs to appear like it does in the image. It also shows up correct in the live view of DW  When uploaded the actual page just lists the alt text.  I would also like to center the text in the middle of the image instead of at the bottom of it.   How do I get the image to actually show up? and center the text vertically on the Rugged Cams logo?
Here is the code for the container it is in and that div.
