How do I Maintain the Order Photos Are Displayed When Burning a DVD

I have created an album from several different events. I want to burn this album to a DVD for a presentation. When I do this, the photos are reorganized and displayed by date/time and separated into two different groups. How can I burn a DVD that maintains the order of photos in the album?
Thanks,
Peter

Yay! I finally found out how to keep the photos in your albums in the correct order when you export the album! I am fortunate to have AppleCare so I decided to call them after trying to figure this out for years.
The fellow on the phone said he'd had others call about this and that he and a caller figured it out, trial and error. I suggested they add it to the user guide for the rest of us!
Here you go:
1. Select your album and all the photos in it.
2. Go to Export under File
3. Change File Name option to Sequential
4. Where it says "Prefix for Sequential" type in the exact name of your album.
That's it! When you hit Export, the photos stay in perfect order! Yay!

• How can I change the order SubVIs are loaded?

Hello,
I have a SubVI which needs to be called before any other SubVI. I tried to put that SubVI in another VI which again calls a second SubVI with the rest of the application:
MainSubVI --- call ---> 'Need-to-be-loaded-first-VI'
|
'- call ---> 'Start-VI'
|
'- call ---> 'Rest-of-application-VI'
The problem is that there is one SubVI - saved in 'Rest-of-application-VI' - which is loaded before the 'Need-to-be-loaded-first-VI'.
How can I change the order SubVIs are loaded?
Thanks,
Johannes

Hai,
If you wish to load the VI into memory or block the VI from loading the memory immediatly after the parent VI loads....Use "Call by referance Node" with call setup as "Reload for each call" which will load theVI into memory only when the VI is supposed to execute.

• I cannot find a way to sort the bookmark folders themselves alphabetically by name.I am not talking about in a view mode but in the way they are displayed when I click on my bookmarks tab. Can someone explain to me how to accomplish this.

I have a lot of various book mark folders with websites contained within each folder. I am able to sort the websites within each folder alphabetically by name but I cannot find a way to sort the bookmark folders themselves alphabetically by name.I am not talking about in a view mode but in the way they are displayed when I click on my bookmarks tab. Can someone explain to me how to accomplish this other than manually dragging them as this is extremely hard for me due to the fact that I am a quadriplegic with limited hand movement dexterity

Bookmark folders that you created are in the Bookmarks Menu folder. "Sort" that folder.

• How do you change the fields that are displayed on the email preview list after a search?

How do you modify the fields that are displayed in the mail preview list in the center column of Mac mail after you conduct a search of your email? All of a sudden the displayed fields changed on me whenever I do a search in mail. When I have not filtered my email with a search, the default field shown in bold at the top of each message's preview is the "From" field. However, when I do a search this changes to the "To" field. Can anyone help? Thanks, ccarey

But why would you want this?
iTunes is responsible for the File Management, let it get on with it, you do your organisation in the iTunes window. And everything you need to do, you can do via the iTunes Window. Want to find the file of a track quickly? Right click on it in the iTunes Window and select Show File: A finder window pops open with the file already selected.

• How can i get the order form to display only those fields selected by user?

Hi everyone,
I'm a newbee so please bear with me.
I would like to create an interactive form in a multi-page format. I would like to display our fifty odd products, divided into 5 different categories. The client browses through these pages then selects those that he wants to buy.
The interactive order form at the end should display only the client’s choices along with the Total purchase order.
In short, a little like a on-line catalogue and cart/basket that we see while buying online.
Now, I've created my pdf brochure, and I have the order form on page 12-13 at the end with the subtotal, Vat and Total ...all that's fine. My only problem is I want the order form to display only those items selected by the user and not the entire list of items as shown in my current order form.
Have a look at my pdf here http://www.upperside.fr/vijee/mpls09ex/EXHIBITOR%20SPECIAL%20ORDERS2010.pdf
Can someone please help me/guide me to the right resources that I need to look up to achieve my end result.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Vijee

The poster already posted at the Acrobat Users Community, Interactive Forms that sums up a client order from catalog. The sample form posted to Acrobat.com was a revision of the sample form that came with Acrobat 4.0. There are some fairly advance scripts, templates, and document level functions involved with this form.

• How do I change the order audiobooks are ordered on my iPod touch?

I just factory-reset my ipod touch.
I synced with iTunes where my audiobooks are sorted in the order in which I purchased them. I like to read them in this order, so I don't forget to read one.
They came across to my iPod in alphabetical order of titles.
I want to sort them either by date downloaded or by author.
Thank you!

Are you saying that they are automatically disappearing after being downloaded? More details would be nice.

• How can I make the last photo taken display first (Arrangement by date AND time)?

In PSE 3 Organizer, if I choose Arrangement -> Date (Newest First), it puts the photos I took yesterday first, but within a day, it puts the oldest first. In other words, all of yesterday's photos are first, but the ones taken in the morning appear before the ones taken in the afternoon. I really don't think it worked like this when we first got the software, and I'd like to know how to fix it.
If I choose Arrangement -> Date (Oldest First), it seems to work correctly, sorting by date and time so that the oldest photos really are first.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I'd really appreciate the help.
Michelle

What you are seeing is the default behaviour, which I think is logical - I like to see my latest batch of work near the top, but have them appear in the order I took them. There is an option in Edit/Preferences which lets you have the oldest first.

• How do I keep the order of a playlist when I synch to my 1st gen. shuffle?

Hi,
I have a 1st generation Shuffle and am trying to synch a playlist to it. I am able to drag and synch the playlist, but once it gets on my Shuffle, all the songs are alphabetized. I want to keep them in the order of my playlist. How do I do this? I am SO frustrated! Thanks, Melissa

Melissa, once you go to the contents page of your device, you will see panels that say: Name, Time, Artist, etc. By clicking on one of these panels, you can change the order according to these criteria. I had this same problem for 2 weeks, couldn't figure it out. My wife solved it in 2 minutes. Try this and good luck.

• How to include non-photo text files when burning a DVD-RW

I'm using Photoshop Elements 3.0.1 on Windows XP Service Pack 2.
I want to include a couple of text (TXT) files on a DVD-RW disc that I'm going to burn my photos to. The text files will contain a chronicle of the trip on which I took the photos.
I can't figure out how to get Photoshop Elements (PSE) to let me include these text files. Is there a way to do that in PSE? It seems to only allow you to work with photo files.
As a work-around, I tried first burning the text files to the disc using Nero and not finalizing the disc. I then tried to use PSE's burn command to add the photos, but PSE objected that the disc was not empty and asked me if I wanted to erase its contents. When I said "No", it asked me to insert a different disc. So apparently PSE will only work with an empty disc or a partially-full disc that you are willing to erase first.
Help!
Thanks.
Steve Westfall

Ward,
I didn't try burning the photos first and then burning the text files with Nero, because I read elsewhere in the forum that PSE has the nasty habit of always finalizing the disc when it finishes its burning session, which means you couldn't add anything to it in a subsequent burning session. However, I haven't verified that. I'll have to try it.
The work-around that I finally came up with and successfully used was basically your second option. I used the export command to export the pictures that I want to a directory, and then used Nero to burn those pictures and anything else I want to the disc.
Still, it seems like there ought to be a way to get PSE to include files other than photos.
Thanks for your input.
Steve

• Order of playlist changes when burning to dvd, shuffle is off

I'm trying to burn a playlist to a data dvd in a certain order. I put the playlist in the correct play order and then burn, but what comes out is not in the same order. Shuffle is NOT on. Any ideas how to get it to burn in the right order?

Are you burning within iTunes? Using Burn Playlist to Disc? That's the only I burn from my library, and my playlists always stay in the order I've placed them in.
If you're burning through Finder, it may be burning them in alpha order.

• Can I change the order in which photos are displayed when uploaded using Photoshop Express?

When I upload new photos to an existing album they displayed after existing photos. I need new photos to be displayed before existing photos. It is in the nature of the work that I do. My customers need to locate their photos with minimal effort. Is there a way to set the program to accomplish this?

What is Photoshop Express?

• How do I change the search engine that displays when opening a new tab-Bing comes up and I want Google.

I'm using Firefox 15 on a Mac and there don't seem to be any extensions affecting this. Thanks!

Is that about searching via the build-in the about:home page?
Reset the browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone pref via the right-click context menu to the default on the about:config page and close and restart Firefox to restore the about:home page to its default.
#Open the about:config page via the location bar
#Type in the Filter bar: mstone
#Right-click the browser.startup.homepage_override.mstone line and select: Reset
#Close and restart Firefox
If this didn't help then delete the delete the chromeappsstore.sqlite file in the Firefox Profile Folder and repeat the above.

• How can I transfer photos in an iphoto album to a usb in the order they are in the album?

I just got a digital photo frame and want to transfer pictures from an iPhoto album in the order they are in the album. When I try and move them to a usb or card they are rearranged according to the number of the photo. How can I transfer them in the order they should be for an album or slide show?

Here's one (of several) way(s) to do what you want:
Make an Album of the photos, then drag the pics into your preferred order.
Then Photos Menu: Batch Change -> Set Title to Text "John's Birthday", for instance, and tick the box to append a number to each Photo. Now your photos are titled 'John's Birthday 001, John's Birthday 002 ... etc'
Then File -> Export and in the Export dialogue set the Filename to "Use Title"
Sort on Filename in the FInder and you end up with a folder full of images in the same order as the Album in iPhoto.

• Photo Stream - How do I change the order the photos are in

I have several Photo Streams and I would like to change the order the photos are displayed on the subscribed Streams.
I have tried on Mac, and iPad3, iPhone4S and there does not seem to be an option.
Any help would be greatful.
Thanks, Mark.
iPhoto 11, Mountain Lion.

I believe photo streams are sorted bhy dagte. So if you're in iPhoto on your Mac order the photos in an album they way you want them and select all of them. Use the Photos ➙ Batch Change ➙ Set Date menu option to apply a date to all of them with a 1 minute interval between each.
Add the new changed photos to the photo stream again and they should remain in the same order as in the album.

• Having arranged some scanned pictures in an album in I-Photo how can I keep them in the order I have chosen when I move the album. They all have the scan date and not the taken date and move to new positions if I move them from one album to another.

Having arranged some scanned pictures in an album in I-Photo how can I keep them in the order I have chosen when I move the album. They all have the scan date and not the taken date and move to new positions if I move them from one album to another.
Is there any way to re-number them in the order I have chosen so that they can then be sorted by number? The scans are all from pre-digital images that I wish to move to a photobook and I don't want to have to organise them twice!
Thanks for any suggestions.

I was a bit short, Chris, sorry. It is limited, what can be posted, when typing on an iPad.
Now I am back on my Mac. I meant the following: Batch Change the date for a large range of photos, that should have a date stepped in increments.
Select all Photos at once and use the command "Photos > Batch Change".
Then set the date for the first photo and select an increment, e.g. one minute.
Now all photos will get a new date assigned, incremented by one minute, in the sequence you have selected. So you will be able to sort them by date. This way it will be unnecessary to change the titles or filenames.
