How do I make a backup of the Layouts folder for Captivate 7 Patch?

Hello -
I am trying to follow the instructions for the Captivate 7 patch, but I am not sure how to create a back-up of the Layouts folder as the instructions state to do. Additionally, they say to make the backup "and delete it". They mean to delete the original file and keep the backup file that I create, correct?
Important: Before using Adobe Captivate 7.0.1, ensure that you take a backup of the Layouts folder and delete it.
Layouts folder are present at :
Windows Location: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Adobe\eLearning Assets\
I was able to find this folder, I just need some help in creating the backup...sorry, i am not the most computer savvy person

You just need to copy it to a different folder or rename it as, say Layouts_old.

Sounds like you have an account, so two options I would say.
Try turning it off, then off and see what options you get, or sync your phone to iTunes and click on the summary and choose the iCloud option.

option discovered in preferences. Really this and any feature that moves deletes or edits a users data should as far as possible be OFF BY DEFAULT. It shouldn't by default and without the users specific say do this dangerous and unnecessary thing without even letting the user know what it's doing!!! And then cause me a few hours (as i'm new to mac) searching for the option so as to switch it off. If i hadn't noticed the status cage declaring that it was copying files then i might never have twigged that this insane thing was occurring. And if i hadn't of noticed i would have been left maintaining the contents of the folder i copied the files to, the folder which as far as i was informed and so believed was also the location of the music files i was playing. How does Apple justify this 'genius' piece of software non-design? Surely it will hurt no one if this was off by default for new users - overall at least i dare say it would cause a lot less distress in the future for the unsuspecting public at large. you could also clone the drive or volume, or just some of the user folders. look for carbon copy cloner, then enable the "use checksum to insure file integrity."
you can have multiple iPhoto Library catalogues in different locations.
Continue to use TimeMachine and make sure it has 350% or more capacity than your system and data.

While I agree with everyone else, get a second disk and backup to that disk, I will point you in the directory of partitioning.
Applications -> Utilities -> Disk Utility
Disk Utility may or may not be able to carve a new partition out of your existing partition, depending on whether the end of the current partition is unused so the current partition can be reduced in size and a new partition added.
It may be necessary to use an external disk, clone your internal disk using SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner (both free to use when creating a full clone), then partition your internal disk, and finally restore the external clone to the internal disk again using SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner.
If you do not want to get a 2nd disk, then consider using an on-line service such as CrashPlan, Carbonite, Mozy, etc... for the files you absolutely cannot aford to loose.

Otherwise, You can write it on a optical Disc and use it in future ....But make sure you keep the Installation files on the disk, not the one which are there on your desktop after installtion

If you have more than one user, the backup is just the same as if you have one user. All users are backed up and there isn't any difference between a backup made on a Mac with one user and on a Mac with multiple users. Then, if you want to restore that backup in the future, you will be able to select which users you want to restore

The message probably means you don;t have enopugh space on iCloud to backup the Phone.
iCloud has a 5GB limit. If your backup is more than that then it won't be able to backup.
As far as backing up to your computer, just connect it to your computer, and assuming you have iTunes you can just click on the Backup button in the summary page for your Phone in iTunes.
You can follow the instructions posted by Ramzee.
As to why you can take less photos, probably because you've used more space up with different things. so there's only so much space left for your Photos.
You can look in Settings->General->Usage, to see how much space you have available as well as the App that's taking up the most space.
Also when connected to iTunes in your computer Check how large the "other" category is.
If its more that 1 to 1.2GB then you may have some corruption.

How can I make different catalogs from the same image where that image has been changed in some way between the catalogs. For instance if I wanted to have a catalogs for cropped images and have 3 catalogs one for 4x6 , 5x7 and 8x10 cropping. When I tried this , if I changed a file in one catalog that same image in the other would change also.

Do not confuse the creation of the crops and the display in collections per crop ratio.
Of course one virtual copy (VC) per crop ratio is needed. If the same image should be cropped in all 3 mentioned ratios there would be 3 VCs.
The OP asked how to have/see a set of same-crop-ratios.
After having created the virtual copies for whatever crop ratio he wants, the way to display this result in the fashion asked for is via smart collections, provided they can be found. Without a plugin the naming of the VC with the crop ratio applied is a straight way to achieve that.
IF the wish is to get new crops automatically added. (See my answers 2+3)
IF the wish is to creat static collections per crop ratio for a certain set of images, I'd go as follows:
1. Select all images you want to have cropped in that way,.
2. With this selection click on the + to add another collection and fill the dialog box like this:
Then navigate into this newly created selection and perform the 4x6 crop - according to taste individually or by synchronizing the first crop.
