How do I make a digital sticker book?

I have a client that wants to make a "digital sticker book" for a tradeshow. I need to be able to show an image in full screen mode and have "stickers-images" that can be moved around. This will be on a touch screen all in one. I am not sure what program to use at this point

There's a 30-day trial. I haven't used it for exactly what you're after but I'm pretty sure it would work for that. Open Address Book in rooSwitch, duplicate the default profile and then make your changes in the copy. Your original should be preserved. Hope that helps.

Open the library CTRL L and look for folder call

Every page is a movie clips so whatever you import from PS
will
need to be converted to movie clip. Name it page"number"

to your order and do not forget to give it LINKAGE name.
To linkage clip you need to right click it while in library,
go to
LINKAGE than check the box EXPORT FOR ACTION SCRIPT and type
the
page name same as the library name (example) "page88"
Now, on timeline you have layer call ACTIONS and on 5th frame
of that
layer is the place where you add pages using action script
once all
the library stuff is in order. You will find there :

addPage("page2");
addPage("page3");
addPage("page4");
addPage("page5");
Just add as much as you need.... Pretty much it

How do I make a copy of book draft to show MIL before ordering?

Hi, I need to make a copy of my iphoto book draft to show my mother-in-law before ordering. I know there's a way to do this, as I did it years ago with another iphoto book. However, I cant remember and I cannot seem to find a recent discussion about it on the boards.
She can't come to my house to view it. Can I burn it to a disc (?) to take over to her house (she also has a Mac) to view? Or do I have to save it, take it to Staples, and print it out? How do I save it on a disc?

Save it as a pdf. Right click in the window when viewing the book.

How do i make labels using address book

I know how to make labels. However, instead of using the actual peoples names, for ex "Bob and Mary Smith" I want the label to say "The Smith Family". Even though I have a special "group" for labels, if I change the name line as I indicated it changes the address permanently and I'd have to go back when I'm done and reconvert all the addresses back to "Bob and Mary Smith". Is it possible to have one group using "The Smith Family" format AND STILL RETAIN the primary address book with the "Bob and Mary Smith" format.
Help please for Xmas mailing list. I'm stumped.

Enter all your addresses into Address Book's VCards.
You can drag a selection of these into a Group which you then select and print.
The Labels options are in the Print Dialog box.

How do I make the Digital Camera Raw update go away?

I have no idea what 'RAW' is, so this update is useless to me. But it won't go away, not even after I try to hide it. It won't hide! How can I fix this?

Just install it anyway. It's a tiny download and it's not worth stressing yourself over.
'RAW' in this case is referring to the raw image data from a Digital Camera's image sensor. Since each camera's sensor works differently, the RAW format differs for each camera, and support updates have to be released occasionally.
You may think you don't need this update, but it is not as pointless as you think.

I did this recently by creating a copy of my original, deleting content from 70% of the pages and replacing it with text "to see the full book buy it" or words to that effect.
Then in the output menu select preview or sample or whatever and then submit it alongside your full version.

How do I make a graphic stick to the absolute top of a page?

I'm afraid your whole approach is missing the mark in many ways.
For example, this image is unsuitable for web pages.

2000px wide and 700+ KB is way too big and much too slow to load even on my super fast fiber optics connection. You must resize and optimize images with a graphics editor (Photoshop) to reduce file size.
Table based layouts went the way of the dinosaur. We simply don't use tables except for tabular data like charts and spread sheets.
Image Maps are another relic. Apart from not being responsive, they are not web friendly. I don't recommend image maps for your main site navigation. There are much better ways to achieve what you want with CSS styled menus.

You may want to re-think the whole FIXED menu at the top thing, too. This will not perform well on all mobile and tablet devices.

My portal page has three placeholders: Left, center and Right.
In the right there are simple static pages giving some information and news that
are irrelevant
to the whole quesry so dont bother about them.
In the center placeholder, I have put a book which has four pages. The labels
of these pages are
: pageA,pageB,pageC and pageD respectivbely.
In each of these pages there are simple portlets which just display a different
static msg so
that i know that the different pages are displayed
In the left placeholder, I have put a portlet which consists of a simple pageFlow.
The page flow
consists of a sinlge jsp called index.jsp. Index.jsp has four anchor tags, which
display which
pagelabel and also pass the page label as a paramter within those tags. For e.g
this is one of
the anchor tags:

Similarly, there are three other anchor tags. Now, clicking on this anchor tag,

But the code does not work!! The default page of the book which is display when

I have an iPhone 3GS and recently upgraded to IOS5. The iTunes on our laptop has always recognized whether my phone or my husband's phone is plugged into it. However, since the upgrade, my App store on my phone keeps asking for the password to his account. Once in a while it will ask for the password to my account name. How do I get my phone to stop asking for his ID password?

After much browsing and searching through the forums, I found out that somehow these apps were originally downloaded using my husband's Apple ID. After deleting them, downloading them again will prompt for my Apple ID and fix the problem.

Cookies are enabled but the commands are not stored as the problem is continuous.You return to the change window and see that the settings reverted to default.How do I make this change stick?

A visited website says cookies need to be enabled for me to proceed.I follow the advice from Firefox and check the appropriate boxes under privacy and exit. When I try to login the same error message comes up so I repeat the routine and try again.The change is not retained as I see the default settings when I return to the page. I would love to see an APPLY button there to ensure the change will be made before clicking OK.

How to make text formatting stick on book cover when sent to Apple or to PDF?

In iPhoto '11 (version 9), one can format text on book covers and in text blocks by selecting the text and right clicking. Font, size, color, and shadowing can be selected and changed. All of this displays correctly and sticks when the book is saved, etc. However, if the book is "previewed" or exported to a PDF (which I believe is the format sent to Apple for actual printing) some of the formatting is lost, permanently. It just goes away. Why? And, more importantly, how can I make this formatting stick? I'm mainly interested in shadowing as it gives the text a 3d look. All shadowing is lost - font and size do stick. I have successfully done this shadowing in several previous releases of iPhoto, and actually had it printed by Apple. Any ideas out there? Or is this another wonderful "feature" ?

Sorry LN, but that is the problem. When I do either the preview or the export to PDF, the shadow formatting disappears. There is another forum discussion where some person discovered this only after receiving their three hard cover books. I'm pretty sure it is a bug. I have Snow Leopard and iPhoto '11 (v9) both with latest updates.
One other note - when applying the text shadow, anytime I adjust either of the three shadow sliders, the shadow disappears and I must click on the main shadow button to make the adjusted shadow reappear. As I said, it does then stick until I do either the preview or PDF as described in the article you referenced. Very, very, very annoying.
Will try to contact Apple today, although I have had very poor luck with ever getting them to admit to any problem in the past. ( pride goeth before the fall....). Hope they will listen, but I have a close deadline on this book.
