How do I make a multiple page pdf?

Hi
I need to put about eight screenshots into one single PDF file. In other words I want to make an eight page PDF from eight .PNGs.
How can I do this? Is this possible with normal OSX tools like Preview or "Print as PDF"? Or do I have to drag them into MS Word or Powerpoint or something?

Thanks Stefan. That did the trick.
Although in my case it wasn't the OP on that MacWorld link, but one of the user comments further down the page that gave the answer. I couldn't make documents by dragging icons onto eachother as the OP described - didn't work. Instead - it was almost easier:
1. Open all docs in one Preview window.
2. Select all those documents in the Sidebar (Cmd A).
3. Use File Print Selected Images (Op Cmd P)
4. Print as PDF

How do you save a multiple page pdf document?

I have about 30 single illustrator pages (cs3) and need to save them as one pdf document, with multiple pages if possible. please can someone talk me thru this, all the stages please.

What I usually do is this: Make pdfs of your files. Open the first one in Acrobat and then Insert (Cmd-Shift-I) the other files one by one After the first one. Then resave under another name. Now you've got a multiple page pdf.
The other way is to page-tile an Illy file, print to eps and then use Distiller. The result will be a multi-page pdf with each tile as a separate page.
I recommend the first method though - it allows you to have different page sizes within a single pdf (if that's what you want). If you want all pages to be of the same size you just use the same artboard size on all Illy files.

PAGES 09 - how do I make a 2 page pdf??

Please help - I am wasting so much time! I have a one page document that I want to email as a pdf. I simply want to add another page below Page One.
I know its something to do with Sections - but every time I add a 'section', it adds two pages, and there is a blank one between my original and the one I want to use as page two. If I delete this unwanted middle page, everything goes except my page one.
Sections is driving me mad - what is the simplest way to just ADD ANOTHER PAGE to a document? I can't bear these changes to the easy old Pages I knew and loved.

I think you understood the question though. Page layout and Word processing documents behave a little different from each other as the WP has a text layer which you can start writing on without first open a text box.
To get a second page in a PL document you click on the icon in the tool bar named Pages
or in the Insert menu choose Pages > blank..

I need to supply a multiple page pdf download on my site...

How do I upload a multiple page pdf on my site and have clients able to link to it/find it and download it? I also want to have the pdf able to be accessed from a separate blog. Is this possible?! I have GoLive CS2.

You can just:
1) Save it to the folder where it belongs (where you have your site on your computer);
2) Open the Site File and click any page/image/whatever;
3) Press the Refresh;
Now the PDF should appear in your site;
4) Create a link to it from one or more HTML pages, in whichever way you create links (you may just type something and turn it into a link, browsing to select the PDF);
5) Upload as usual (incremental or otherwise) to get it accessible for others.
You may link to it from anywhere else by its URL once it is there.

I don't use the pages app so I couldn't tell you there, however, Adobe a reader for the iPad has no issues with PDF in email. In fact it has a button that you can use to open it right from Adobe a reader without having to open the mail app to get it. Just a suggestion if you can't figure it out with pages.

Sometimes I need to create multiple (more precisely double) page pdf file from another pdf file to reduce the printing cost of the document. For this I crop the single page document and then print it in a double page pdf file (in landscape).
But I am still facing a problem in this regard. When I make a double page pdf the gutter (distance between two pages, left and right) is more than 1.5 inch. This is a great problem. Can anyone tell me how to reduce the gutter when making a double page pdf file (don't just suggest to crop the single page pdf, i tried this as well, I cropped using the feature "remove white margin" but still there is more than 1.5 inch between two pages)

When you print, select the printer properties for the Adobe PDF printer. On the layout tab is an option for the number of pages per sheet. In some versions it is listed as multi-up as I recall. I did not say to simply print from the 2-up display. It is a printer option, not a display option.

You can only rotate the entire document with the free Reader. And that only lasts for the current session. It is not permanent.

Well crap! Internet explorer goes direct to actual pdf, would'nt you know it, safari wont! I will have to change my pdf order form to include instructions on how to find that toggle thing at the bottom so it wont wig out safari users.
Kind of *****, if people dont know they have to click the open in preview choice, my form wont work.
Thought maybe it was an HTML issue that could be overidden.

I have a multiple page document that I scanned into a pdf format.
I want to be able to view - not edit - it on my iPhone via iCloud.
I do not know of any way to get a pdf up to my iCloud so I thought that if I could convert it to a Pages document that I could then upload it (the Pages document) to my iCloud and thus be able to view it on my iPhone.
So what I really want to do is be able to view a pdf document that is on my iCloud on my iPhone 5.
Perhaps my question should have been - How do you get a pdf document up to iCloud?

Are you sure? I believe the mail program only previews the first page for you, but sends the whole attachment. Try opening the attachment (e.g., select and hit spacebar for a preview of the whole thing, or by double-clicking it, or control-clicking then "Open...") You should see the whole document.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that when you add a PDF to mail you see its entire contents, but when you add two or more pages Mail shows them as a document icon. To change this behavior for that specific email, please follow the instructions in the attached article.

your right.. i ment acrobat pro :-)
my problem is that i use the PDF printer to export CAD drawings as PDF´s.
As it is now, there are some pre-defined page sizes in the print settings, and i know i can add custom pages manually one at a time.
What i want is to copy the list of my danish standard page sizes, and use them on my other versions of acrobat.
Its like 70 different sizes, and i have them made manually on my current computer, but i hope its possible to copy the list to other computers.
Maby its some script where i can define the sizes, and then copy to another computer. Im just not that much of a computer genius :-)

Multiple page PDF in Illustrator CS5

I have two pages in Illustrator and I want to create a 2 page PDF file. In CS3 there was a multiple page PDF selection I could make in the save dialogue box of my Illustrator file. That feature is not there in Illustrator CS5. Is it possible to do this??

Not really...just think of it as Page=Artboard. So,
I. If you're creating a new file to save as a multi-page PDF, in the new file dialogue choose the number of Artboards to equal the number of pages. If unsure at the outset, just choose a sufficient number... you can always add or delete later. Give the Artboard/s the size of the page you want... eg A4, A5, or custom, etc., etc. Create the matter of each page on that number artboard.
II. If you're working with an existing file, then you already have the pages created on your single artboard. So:
1. Just resize the artboard to the output size
2. Move all matter of page one to that
3 Create new artboards (2, 3, 4, etc) and just move all mater corresponding to the already created pages 2, 3, 4, etc. to the respective artboards...

Multiple page PDF's for iTunes playlists

In the past I've been able to create multiple page PDF's of playlists, but for some reason in iTunes 10.1 it will only show me the first page. At the bottom of that page it'll say page 1 of 10, but the other 9 pages do not appear in the sidebar. I also know it's not generating multiple pages because when I save it to the desktop it appears instantly instead of taking a few seconds to process many pages.
Anyone else having this problem? Anyone have a solution?

When you save a PDF out of Illustrator and turn Illustrator editability on, what do you think Illustrator should do? It can only save content in its native format. For version CC, this is Illustrator CC. Illustrator CS6 doesn't know CC, so can't open it. Instead it opens the PDF part of the file, which happens to be mutliple pages.
If you need to establish this kind of workflow, you need to make sure, everyone uses the same version.
