How do i make a new apple id and keep all my music and apps

Our family now has too many computers to authorize. If I create a new apple id I will loose all the apps and songs, right?

Suzanne,
You will not lose the songs, but it will get complicated as far as usting the iCloud or Match.  Also, you will not lose the apps, but whenever you want to update them you will have to go back to the ID from which they were originally purchased, which will be a pain.
If it is a family issue, I strongly suggest you start moving toward one ID per person.  That will solve the current authorization problem, and will also be the simplest in the long run.

If my phone's memory is full, mostly due to music, how can I make it to where my IPad holds all the music and remove all of it from my phone without losing any of it? I recently got an iPad so I now use that as my main source as opposed to my Dell. Yes, I have a Dell that failed me. Miserably.

Sync your music from your computer to your iPad.  Then delete the music from your iPhone.

I have a new apple MacBook Pro. All my music is on my old computer and my i-pad. What is the easiest way to transfer my music onto my new
    computer?

    apps
If you have an iPod touch or iPhone with iOS 4 or later software, or an iPad, you can use iTunes to transfer files between your computer and an app on your device that supports file sharing.
You might want to do this if, for example, you want to save files you create on your device to your computer, or take files with you so you can use them when you’re away from your computer.
You don’t need to sync your device to transfer files, but your device needs to be connected to your computer.
For information about supported apps, see the documentation for your apps.

To transfer files from your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer:
Connect your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad to your computer.
In iTunes, select your device (below Devices), and click the Apps button.
Below File Sharing, from the list on the left, select the app on your device that you want to transfer a file from.
From the list on the right, select the file you want to transfer, and click “Save to.”
In the window that appears, select the destination where you want to save the file, and click Choose.
The file is saved to the selected destination on your computer.
SImport music and video already on your computer
If you have audio or video files on your computer, you can import them into iTunes so that they appear in your iTunes library.

Here are ways to add items from your computer to your iTunes library:
Drag a file or folder from the Finder to the iTunes window.
If you add a folder, all the files it contains are added to your library.
In iTunes, choose File > “Add to Library,” locate a file or folder, and then click Choose.
By default, iTunes places a copy of each audio file in the iTunes folder (Home/Music); the original file remains in the current location. For information about adding an alias to the file (instead of creating a copy), see Add items to your library without copying them to your iTunes folder.

    Hello ryane84
The easiest and most efficient way to copy your music is to follow the steps under the External drive section. Make sure that you have organized the iTunes library first before you copy it over. Then put the copied iTunes folder in the same Music folder on your computer.

  • HT1373 how can you set up another iTunes account but keep all your purchases and music from a previous account

how can you set up another iTunes account but keep all your purchases and music from a previous account

An iTunes account is something you log into online to buy music.
An iTunes library is a collection of media and other items (including apps) on your computer.  This is what you see when you open iTunes.
So, do you mean account or library?  You can set up a new iTunes account but all your purchases made in that account will remain in the old account and cannot be moved.  You can set up a new library by starting iTunes and immediately hold down the option key.

  • !!!HELP PLEASE!!!  HOW DO I MAKE MY NEW APPLE ID THE DEFAULT?

We moved and I had to changed my apple ID since I will be losing my former email account.  I created my new apple ID, deleted (or so I thought) my old email account, changed it in iTunes, had to spend another $24.95 for iTunes Match with my new apple ID (rip off that I couldn't transfer the remaining months to my new apple ID) and this morning, I turned on my iMac and notepad and my former apple ID's were back.  How do I set up changes to make my new apple ID the default?

It would have been easier to change the email address associated with your Apple ID instead of creating a new one.
As I understand it, anything you bought with the old Apple ID (music, apps, operating system) will forever be associated with that old Apple ID.

  • HT5312 How do I make a new apple account and delete the one I have now? I don't know my password for the id they use and it won't let me use my current email address?

How do I create a new Apple ID and delete my current one?

You can't delete an account, all you can do is remove any personal info from in and stop using it - but anything that you downloaded from the stores with it will remain tied to that account.
If you don't know the password for it then try this page to get it reset : http://iforgot.apple.com
If you also don't know your security answers, then if you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then steps 1 to 5 on the page that you posted from should let you reset them : go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account, then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the page that you posted from to add a rescue email address for potential future use.

  • How do I make your new Apple ID permanent on your iPod Touch 5g???

So every time I go into my Settings, press on "iTunes & App Store" it's fine and it shows that I'm signed into the new Apple ID that I want. Then I press on "iCloud" and "Game Center" but it has my old Apple ID. When I go into "iCloud" a thing pops up asking me to type in my password but it's asking me to type in my password for my old ID. Every time I press "cancel" it pops up 2 seconds later asking me to type in my password. When I type in my password it pops up every 2 seconds like three more times then tells me that my password must be wrong!!! I need help because my iPod can't function that well!!! I need to make it so my new Apple ID is permanetly in the iPod. I can't look at my storage, go into iCloud in the settings without is asking for my password, I can even update my apps!! So could somebody help me please??? By the way, it's not the password, it's the ID, I need to change the ID from my old one to the one that I want to permanately be in my iPod!!! Thanks!!

    Hi bshea,
You need to do the following:
    1.     Go to Manage your Apple ID and sign in with your existing Apple ID, then change the ID back to your old one (this is temporary - do NOT verify it, do NOT change the password): Apple - My Apple ID
    2.     Go to Settings>iCloud, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on Delete to delete the iCloud account. Type in your current password when asked. Follow the prompts to delete the iCloud account
    3.     Go back into Manage your Apple ID, and change your ID back to the new one (you may need to verify it again)
    4.     Go back into Settings>iCloud and sign on with the new ID
    You should be all set,
    GB

  • If I make a new Apple ID, will I lose my downloads and purchases from my old ID?

I got my first iPod (a nano) about 6 years ago and I was only 11 back then so my mom created an Apple ID for me. I've been purchasing music and apps from that account. I just recently got an iPhone and since my mom does not remember her account info (like her email - as we've discovered trying to use iCloud), I want to make a new ID. Please help.

You can't transfer an account's balance nor its purchases to another account - purchased will remain tied to the account that bought/downloaded them.
For his security questions, if he has a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on his account then he can go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into his account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side he should see an option to send security question reset info to hie rescue email address.
If he doesn't have a rescue email address (he won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then he won't get the reset option - he will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
e.g. he can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset (and if he doesn't already have a rescue email address) he can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 . Or, if it's available in your country, he could change to 2-step verification : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570

  • HT4557 make a new apple id but keep old one

how do i create a new icloud account but use the same apple id. when i get a new phone all of my mom and sisters contacts are going to be on my phone again

Authorize her computer for your account.  She can then listen to and use all of the music on her computer.  Authorizing it does not mean that she can purchase using the account, it only gives permission to use the music.
