How do I make a notification go away after I have read all the messages and it still says that I have an unread message?
My messages app says I have an unread message from someone, but I have no unread messages. How do I make the notification go away?

I have had chats/conversations that have shown the blue "unread" indicator which goes if you reselect the chat but appears again when you select another Chat.
I have also had the red Unread number indicator showing on the Dock icon badge as a separate issue.
This second I have resolved in Force Quitting the DOCK in Activity Monitor ( I will use Terminal but prefer an User Interface option).
The first I tend to solve by dismissing that particular Chat/Conversation.
As you have tried the DOCK reset method by both the recommended methods of doing so I would try a PRAM/NVRAM reset.
Restart the Mac holding down the CMD+ALT+P+R keys all at the same time until you have heard three Start up Bongs.
You can then let the Start up Continue.

ITunes is saying that the only way to get back all seven of my audiobooks are to repurchase them, however that is going to be about a hundred dollars to repurchase them all and I don't have that kind of money right now. You're sure you signed into iTunes using the same Apple ID used for the purchases?

icloud will not allow me to backup my phone because of the 7gb of data its too much for the 5gb free space on icloud and i have the documents and data turned off in the icloud settings so i dont understand whats taking up all the space? the only thing i have on the settings is my photos and thats only 4gb. I have this identical problem. For a while my group texts didnt show up on my ipad. Then one day they did, maybe everyone in the group started using the same os version or something. Ever since my first reply to the group there have been complaints of multiple threads. I can not find a pattern for when my group text's decide they want to create a new thread. (it doesnt happen every time) Everyone in the group has deleted the thread, we've all toggled imessage on/off etc. There still hasn't been a solution.
Any help would be appreciated.

Once you have changed your Apple ID, you need to set it up for use in the various systems such as iTunes, the App Store, etc so it can be used as intended. This article shows how to do that -

I just got my new iPhone4 set up today and it has pulled in every email that is in my desk top as being unread. Yet I have read all the emails. Still the iPhone thinks they are unread. Does anyone know how I can delete all of these emails at one time from the phone?
I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

I have deleted almost all of my text messages but for some reason my memory usage still says that i have 3.5 gb of text messages saved. How do i correct this problem?
Good luck finding the solution. I have another posting https://discussions.apple.com/message/25145839#25145839 on this exact same issue, and that is after looking on my own for the solution on the web and on Apple's forum without any luck for a real solution. Having to RESET a device every time I need to clear out old messages from memory sounds to me like an intended pain from Apple to keep pushing iPhone users to purchase additional iCloud backup plans.

How do I get iMessage to activate, I have read through all the instructions but it still says activation unsuccessful?
Are you using a supported carrier? Do you have a plan that permits text messaging?
The iPhone uses a 'silent' SMS message exchange with Apple's servers in the UK to activate. If you are not using a supported carrier, and/or your account is not provisioned properly for an iPhone, the activation may not be able to complete. -
i think my iphone 4s has a damaged software because it locks the phone always and powers it off without touching the power button. how can i rectify this problem?? i already tried erasing all the settings and content of the phone. thanks..!

Since we downloaded the latest version of iOS on our iPad and iPhone, and synchronized our music collection in the Cloud, we can no longer see on our iPad and iPhone the music from our CD's that we have on our home computer's iTunes library. We can only see music in the iPhone and iPad library that have been purchased on iTunes. How can we get all our music from our computer's iTunes librbary visible on the iPhone and iPad? When you opened your new Version of Aperture you probably created a new, empty Aperture Library.
Do you remember where your original Aperture Library is located? Usually it resides in your "Pictures" folder, and is named something.aplibrary. If you do not remember where it is, search with Spotlight for ".aplibrary".
Quit Aperture, if it is running, then select your old Aperture Library and double click it to open it. This will launch Aperture on your correct library, and you should see all your projects and albums again.

I SEEM TO BURN A CD WITH ALL THE TRACK INFO SHOWING AND WHEN I RE INSERT THE C.D. You can burn a cd a number of ways, iTunes like programs such as Nero etc gives you some options.
Audio CD
This will burn tracks in a format that all CD players can read. This will not retain the tag data such as track name, artist , album etc.
MP3 CD
Burns tracks to CD that can be read by certain CD players, this keeps the tag data. Some players display the data in a small scrolling screen etc.
Data CD
Basically just a date storage function that can be read by computers and certain CD capable devices. This keeps the tag data.
Backup CD
This makes an image of your iTunes library, can span multiple discs and keeps tag data.

I have 3 iPhones, one iPad and 2 PC's, all using the same iTunes account. I want to be able to have each iPhone keep their own list of accounts and music list and the I pad different as well. I want to 2 PC's music list to match. How do I do this?

If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:
