How do I make Game Center go away on my ipod touch?

My games run dramatically slower when Game Center opens them. I disabled it, turned off notifications, signed out & it still pops up when i open games & slows them down to where i can't even play. Please advise! I feel like Apple hijacked my device that i paid for.

iTunes only converts a copy and then sync that to the iPod. iTunes does not convert/change the bitrate of the songs in your iTunes library.
If the songs are already on your iPod, if you sync automatically the songs on the iPod should be automatically converted.
If you sync manually, you have to delete the songs from the iPod and resync.
The only way to know if the songs have been converted is to go to Settings>General>Usage>Music>Music and see that less storage space it taken by the music

Okay. In the Elements panel on the main stage, the Symbol is called "WIPopUp". The name of the symbol in the Library is "WIPanel". So when the Symbol is triggered, it is triggered with:
sym.$("WIPopUp").show();
sym.getSymbol("WIPopUp").play("in")
"in" is a label at the 0 mark of WIPanel's timeline.
The first half of the timeline for WIPanel has it slide onto the screen. Then there is a stop trigger. The second half of the timeline slides it off of the screen. I have a button incorporated into WIPanel that when pushed does this:
sym.play();
This should make the symbol slide off the screen (continuing the timeline past the stop trigger in the middle).
At the end of the timeline, I'd like the symbol to disappear, so I've added a trigger with the code you mentioned above:
sym.$("WIPopUp").hide();
When I test the animation, the symbol slides onto the screen just fine, and slides away when I press the button, but it somehow continues to block me from being able to press any buttons that were below it.

There's ways to activate your phone to use it like an ipod, not available thru apple. It's really easy to do, if all you want to do is activate it without a SIM. Try googling for it.. It's on your iPad somewhere. It cannot be deleted.
Swipe from screen to screen to look for it.
You can also reset the home screen layout and the icon will reappear - but the home screen will return to the way that it looked when you first activated your iPad.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

I have had chats/conversations that have shown the blue "unread" indicator which goes if you reselect the chat but appears again when you select another Chat.
I have also had the red Unread number indicator showing on the Dock icon badge as a separate issue.
This second I have resolved in Force Quitting the DOCK in Activity Monitor ( I will use Terminal but prefer an User Interface option).
The first I tend to solve by dismissing that particular Chat/Conversation.
As you have tried the DOCK reset method by both the recommended methods of doing so I would try a PRAM/NVRAM reset.
Restart the Mac holding down the CMD+ALT+P+R keys all at the same time until you have heard three Start up Bongs.
You can then let the Start up Continue.

If you not prefer to get a Mobile Me account, you can sync both devices by using computer.
First of all, make sure the iPod Touch have not been ever synced by other computer. Otherwise, all the notes and contacts in your iPod Touch will be replaced by your computer information. (or iTunes will ask you to merge all the info, some data lost may occur.)
Connect your iPod Touch to the computer, in the iTunes, your connected iPod Touch will be shown on the left column, select it, on the right hand side is showing your iPod Touch details.
