How do I make iTunes NOT check if it is the default player via registry setting?
I work in an a corporate environment with hundreds of employees that have iTunes and when iTunes is the default music player it conflicts with our Voicemail system (the voicemail system will email .wav files to people when a voicemail was left. Double clicking the .wav file from within our email client doesn't work when iTunes is the default music player).
Is there a registry setting to DISABLE iTunes from checking to see if it is the default music player?
Is there also a registry setting to set WMP as the default music player for .wav files for those people that have already set iTunes as the default music player?

Why don't the options to not check if Firefox is the default browser, set the homepage to a blank page, and password settings hold? It opens to a firefox page and asks if I want to make firefox the default and has the checkbox checked to check for default with every launching.

How do you make itunes not play wav files?
I know how to make it play wav files but how do I remove it from the default player list? I want them to all play in Quicktime. I have done the right click, holt alt and press Always Open With... and also done the right click and specify it to open in Quicktime. I have done this on 3 different Macs with 2 different OSX versions. It will open in Quicktime that one time but then the next time I open a wav file it goes back to Quicktime.

Do you mean, "goes back to iTunes"? "A wav file," or the same wav file you just changed?
Did you select the additional option in Get Info's Open With window to, "Change all of this kind to open with Quicktime"? -
ITunes doesn't recognise iPod as the default player for audio files.
A few weeks ago my husband completely re-installed our laptop, without properly looking at how to backup my iPod touch. Everything was lost and I have had to start again, however the system still comes up with this message each time I plug the iPod in:
iTunes has detected this is not the default player for audio files. Would you like to go to the Default Program Control Panel to fix this.
I go to the Control Panel, but have no idea what to do.
Can anyone please help me?

I'm far more often using my iPhone to make iTunes purchases and make changes to my playlists- how can I make *these* the default settings by which iTunes syncs? I have iTunes match, iCloud, etc. Mainly I'd like to easily have iTunes match my iPhone changes, and then when I sync my iPod nano via usb, have the iTunes (ergo iPhone) changes made to the iPod.

How I can make a note on an image in the IMAQ browser?
Hi,
I searching for the way to add a text on a thumnail image in the IMAQ browser.
I just ran Browser Example.vi and tried to add a note on a thumnail image using IMAQ Overlay Text API.
And also tried adding Overlay Text on the source image and then add that source image to the IMAQ browser.
But both way failed to make it work!
So.. Is there any way I can add a text on the image in the IMAQ browser?

browser window.png 51 KBYou need to add a text overlay to each image, then merge the overlay with the image before it's loaded into the image browser. Look in the sequence frame 1 of the outer sequence structure in the attached VI.

I've had my iPod touch for over a year now, and I haven't used it or iTunes in a while. I updated iOS on my iPod and updated to the newest version of iTunes earlier. Now that I have put some new music in my music library (not from iTunes), iTunes will not recognize my iPod, but if I turn on Home Sharing, it will sync to my iPod... Which would be fine, but I have to have Wi-Fi all the time for that to work, and sometimes I don't have Wi-Fi when I leave my house. So how do I make iTune recognize my iPod?

Since ios 6 update hotmail fetches or push on its own. I have hotmail set to manual. Best I can tell its only hotmail and not yahoo. Is this a known problem? How do I make hotmail stop checking for mail when I have it set to manual?

I have a used mac computer. I want to sync and update my iphone. Currently itunes tells me that my iphone is connected to a different itunes account and will sync, but delete everything from my phone. How do I make itunes sync and update my phone without deleting all the current information on my phone?
Iphone will sync with one and only one cpomptuer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer. This is the design of the iphone.
It will erase the content when you sync.

Now I can edit the sort options manually per track and/or per selection, but I would really like to just kill this "iTunes-knows-how-you-should-sort"-feature in iTunes.

ThanksHere is a modified version of one of Doug's Scripts. My modification was to add Sort Name to the list of tags that could be changed. I tried it on a single track and it worked. I recommend backing up your library first. Select the tracks you want to change (or all tracks) and run the script from the Applescript Editor. If it works as intended, save it so you can apply it to newly imported tracks. And, yes, I know this isn't the exact answer to your question, you want to change a preference setting in iTunes (if there is such a setting).

How do I tell iTunes not to install on sync apps that I downloaded?
I upgraded my SSD on my Mac and I thought I'd download all my apps so they were backed up on my computer. However, now iTunes tries to install them all on my iPhone whenever I try to sync it. I don't have nearly enough space on my iPhone so I always get a bunch of "ghost" apps and an error message that my iPhone is out of space every time I sync. How do I tell iTunes not to attempt to install these on my iPhone on sync? The only options to choose from are "Install" and "Will Install".

I have OS X 10.9.3, iTunes 11.2.2 (3), and iOS 7.1.1.The easiest way is to simply remove the previous apps from your account, then sync all your apps. You can remove unwanted apps via iTunes. How Can I Make Acrobat Not Resize Images?
I am trying to turn around 80 images into the pages of a PDF file. The pictures are saved as JPEGs and have the exact dimensions I want them to have as pages of a PDF. When I turn them into a PDF in Acrobat Pro 9 they get resized so when viewed at 100% the text looks like crap. I want to know how I can make Acrobat not mess with the dimensions of my pictures when turning them into a PDF. I make the PDF by clicking the Create button and selecting Merge Files into a Single PDF... . I then drag and drop the pictures into the window and click Combine Files. I have tried all three of the File Size settings and all of them turn out wrong. How can I make this expensive program work the way I want it to by doing htis simple thing right?
I have attached two files, the first of one of the images that will make a page viewed in windows picture and fax viewer at the original size. The second is a screen shot of the messed up PDF with blurry text, viewed at 100%. I want the text in the second picture to look just like the text in the first.I am not trying to justify Adobe's choice, just an explanation of what may have happened. When one asks for 100%, there is a question of by pixel, by inches (cm), or by size on the screen. These are interpretations and the fact that MS and Adobe interpret them differently is not surprising. However, I think that what you are seeing is a result of the pixel display issues on the screen and with proper sizing, they should appear the same (at least I think). In Acrobat, there is also a smoothing feature under the display preferences that may be an issue and is related to how it extrapolates for the pixels.

Vista - how do you make iTunes the default player for audio files?
Having started using iTunes on a new Vista PC, I've found that it defaults back to Windows Media as the default audio file player every time the machine is rebooted.
But worse than that, I cannot find any option to make iTunes the default player for MP3 files - under the Vista settings, the ONLY option offered is Windows Media: there is not even a box to tick for iTunes.
Have others found this? Is there any way around this?
(I thought that Microsoft was legally precluded from making these kind of enforced settings now???)Although I now seem to have successfully made iTunes the default player for audio files, iTunes has started putting up this message:
"The iTunes Music Library file cannot be saved. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation."
A quick scan of the forum shows this problem has come up quite a few times, but I'm far from clear if there is a definitive answer/solution. I am the administrator for the computer. It sounds worrying that the Library file is not being saved - should I be worried? -
