How do I make my movies download faster??

Is there a way that I can convert my movie clips on iWeb so that I can make it faster to download for people who go to my site??

Lots of tips in my PDF book QuickTime Pro: Explained about this same issue.
Our iMovie Projects may have more than one destination and a DVD or CD version isn't practical for Web based files.
The "canned" presets offered do not allow the flexibility or options you may want to use on your file.
"Expert Settings" may look like the Greek language to many users. So many different codecs (what's that) and options that your head would spin.
Top this off with the page code (html and .js files) that is made by iWeb and you're going to have a migraine just fussing with all of it.
Smaller file sizes is your first goal. Reduce the dimensions, cut the frame and data rate and compress your audio track as much as you can stand. Your Web "viewers" will not notice most of these changes.
Web viewers have the attention span of a 3 year old. Cater to them with well made, fast loading small file sized movies.

Have closed all other applications and genius is off. Everything else downloads really fast but the movies are killing me - up to about 3 hours and counting. Then it's slow to put on my ipod. Have tried HD and SD, no difference whatsoever. Help!
I have previously downloaded a movie and put it on my ipod within about 30 mins but for the past month or two itunes movie downloads are REALLY slow. I've read other forums that say similar but no one has got a solution yet. I thought I'd put it out there again - does anyone know what it is?
I am using a brand new imac with tonnes of memory, broadband internet is obv the likely cause but EVERYTHING else is fast, only itunes movies are slow. Is there a setting that's been changed, perhaps in one of the software updates?

If you are on a computer, try using an ethernet cable for wired Internet access instead of using Wi-Fi.
Resuming downloads from a computer
Open iTunes.
Choose Store > Check for Available Downloads.
Enter your account name and password.
Click the "Check Downloads" button.
Click the Resume or Resume All button, or the resume arrow to resume the download.

Delete the app using this free utlity > Download AppCleaner for Mac
Then re download the app using the same Apple ID it was originally purchased from. You won't be charged again.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.

How do I make multiple movies look like one?

I created a demo of 136 slides with mostly screencaps and one
small flash animation. The final published flash file is
approximately 30MB. When the demo is run on multiple computers, the
CPU utilization rises up to almost 100%, this makes the demo run
very slowly on most computers. I was advised to cut my captivate
movie in half ( in slides)... however even then the CPU utilization
is quite high. How can I break my demo into multiple linked movies
(to bring down the file size) but still have it play smoothly
without it stopping to load after each new movie? How do I make
multiple movies look like one?

You have to create a QTL file that opens the QT movie in the player. Based on the settings it opens in Full Screen.

An alternative is to publish your movies to Vimeo and embed the movie in your page. These movies can play full screen.
