How do i make my screen light up?

i have a iphone4 and the button that you turns the screen on and off is jamed. But i have been using the accesive touch on my phone ever since that happened. But now the screen wont turn on. I tried to restore it but ithe computer says to turn my iphone off says i have to turn it off. But everything else works just fine.

Screen are supposed to be automatically lighten up whenever a call is received!! Is it not happening for you? For SMS this will not happen.

One easy way is:
Changing the File Format
In order to change the file format you must firstly open up a Terminal window (Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app), and type the following.
defaults write com.apple.screencapture type TYPE
For the command to work, you need to replace “TYPE” with a valid file format, the available options are:
png (default)
pdf
jpg
jp[2 (jpeg 2000)
gif
tiff
bmp
pict
tga
Once you have selected your format simply issues the command, placing the file format in it’s space. For example for a JPG, I would issue:
defaults write com.apple.screencapture type jpg

I have three angles, one front, one of the guitar, and one of my feet.I have all three playing onscreen simultaneously in three screen panels on the main video screen.
If I export it right now you see all three angles playing at once
The layout is such that one angle is larger than the other two.
I would like, at certain points in the video, to have the emphasis change, and have the video transition to one of the other panels getting larger, and the big one getting smaller.

But now, I can still do that, but everything on the screen moves side to side or up and down when I'm moving the cursor (moving my finger across the screen). You might be a little zoomed out. Go to System Preferences, Universal Access and make sure Zoom is not turned on.
