How do i make photos largest to send in email?larger is shaded

i am trying to send larger photos through email,when the size shows up it has the largest shaded when i send it the photos are small.i have a g5 mac running 10.5.thank you in advance

this is from the "mail" readme
click photo browser in the toolbar to view available images, then drag an image into the message/drag a picture from your desktop/finder/iphoto etc into message/click attach then choose file> attach files then select file. Now here's the meat of the matter
--Adjust the image size using the pop-up menu in the lower right of the window.mail inserts the pictures in its actual. If message size in lower left of window appears in red, you'll have to choose a smaller size
Other than that, I dunno, maybe use Preview, blow it up, take a screen shot
and send the screen shot

What you are describing is Tooltips. If you search this forum you'll find some info but I think all of them require editing of the files post publishing - adding code with an app like MassReplaceIt.
Tooltips will show in some browsers if you insert the image tag into an iWeb snippet and add your text to the title like so....

The problem is that the text is small and it wouldn't be much use to partially sighted people.
With the thought anything may be possible, I did a rough test to see if something could be done in an HTML Snippet. This is very rough and needs some more work to tidy it up....

Thank you for your time Woody. Recently the Mac seems to freeze a lot, seemingly due to a problem with the airport, especially if the computer is inactive for anything more than a few minutes. Then yesterday I suddenly couldn't send or receive messages so I got in touch with my server and they reconfigured the mail account. I can now receive messages but can't send them, always getting a timed out message when I try to send an email. I phoned the server again and they said it must be a problem with Mail as we tried sending a message online from the server's webpage and it worked fine, so they suggested I reinstall Mail. So hence my original question. Sorry for the rambling! I'm not very computer minded.

I use an old iTunes. Check if there is something in iTunes preferences, but I doubt there is. You may have to simply use something such as Universal Access preferences to zoom your whole screen. I do recall coming across a reference for a hack to edit iTunes fonts in the application itself but if you enlarge the font as opposed to simply tweaking it slightly with a very similar one you are likely to really mess up iTunes display since the rest of the application won't have been designed with scaled up fonts in mind.
I can also personally recommend reading glasses.

One way would be via a 3rd party app such as http://www.photosync-app.com One advantage of that is that it claims to be able to transfer via Bluetooth so if you wouldn't have to find free wi-fi or use a lot of cellular data while traveling. PhotoSync seems to have a good reputation but there are probably other similar 3rd party apps.

You can't change the frame. But you can Control-click on the photos and select Fit Photo to Frame Size and it will reduce the size of the photo so the entire portrait photo will display in the frame. The excess background will be the same color of the page's background.
