How do I make the browser text bold?
Bolder fonts makes reading easier.Why not have a means under VIEW?
You can change the color on text pages with an extension like this one:
* NoSquint - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/2592
Browser interface:
* Theme Font & Size Changer: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/162063/
To make the text on web pages bold by default you will probably have to use code in [http://kb.mozillazine.org/userContent.css userContent.css] or use the Stylish extension as I'm not aware of an extension with that feature.
Add code to [http://kb.mozillazine.org/userContent.css userContent.css]
<pre>html, body, body * { font-weight: bold !important; }
</pre>
See:
* http://kb.mozillazine.org/Editing_configuration
* Stylish: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/2108

How can I make the menu text in Elements 11 larger?
I am having trouble reading the menu text in Elements 11 that I juat purchased. I have found that with many programs there is a way to enlarge the menu text, but so far I have not been able to find a way to make the menu text large enough for me to read unless I am about 1' away from the screen which I am sure you can imagine is not reasonable or acceptible.
Sorry to say but enlarging menu text is not possible in photoshop elements. You can try adjusting resolution to a lower value so that the menu text becomes a bit bigger.

Want to play WOW-how do i make the browser windows fill whole screen??
Have been a pc user all my life and just got a MacBook Pro. When i used to connect to the internet the browser window would fill the whole screen. This may seem like a stupid question but how do i make this happen on the mac? And to do the same for things like iMovie maker etc. My son says world of warcraft needs to be played on the whole screen and not just in a small box.
Have tried adjusting the display etc but that makes things look distorted. Is there another way? Help!
Thanks to anyone who helps!Press Cmd+M if you want to play it in full screen mode. If you want a bigger window for windowed mode just drag the little thngy at the bottom right of your WoW window and you will be able to resize it. Hope this helps

We have a client using CF8 Server for a site and I am using the CFHEADER/CFCONTENT method to force a file to save to the end-user's computer.
The dialogue comes up as expected, but regardless of what is found in the CFHEADER for a filename, it tries to save the file as the CFM page name.
i.e. The CFM page is signature.cfm. I am trying to make it save a TXT file to the user's computer, which it seems to be trying to do, but the instead of using "sig.txt" as the filename as outlined in the CFHEADER, it is defaulting to "signature.cfm"
While I know that I could change the name and extension and the content in the file would be correct, the mass majority of end-users will not know that they can do that, and the client does not want it to become more complicated than necessary.
Is there a way to make the file change to the proper name in the SAVE AS dialogue?
Thanks in advance.
Code so far is pretty straight forward ...
<CFHEADER name="Content-Disposition" value="attachment; filename=sig.txt">
<CFCONTENT type="application/unknown" file="#xf#">I'm guessing the type="application/unknown" is interfering. Try type="text/plain".

I have an IBM laptop running Windows XP
Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.
If your problem is with Mozilla Thunderbird, let us know so that a Moderator can move this thread to the Thunderbird questions queue.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail".
'''Page Zoom''' will work to make the page contents larger, and the setting will hold for future visits to each page visited and zoomed in.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/font-size-and-zoom-increase-size-of-web-pages
Plus the NoSquint is available - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nosquint/ - for global and per site settings, rather than page-by-page zoom. ''[probably the best choice for what you described]'' -
I am going blind trying to see the tiny text on this laptop. I'm sure there is a way to make it bigger overall. Also need bigger text (to see as I type) on e-mails? What do I do?
Overall ?
Try a different resolution
Open System Preferences > Displays > Display > Scaled
For Mail. With Mail open, from the menu bar, click Mail > Preferences then select Fonts & Colors tab.
Click Select to change the font and font size.

How can i make the browser open websites quicker
Websites tend to take longer to open up. With IE8, the same site opens up immediately
I'm guessing the type="application/unknown" is interfering. Try type="text/plain".

This is probably a dumb question, but I can't find an answer. How do I make the text on my calendar larger so I can actually read it when I print it out? I am using a MacBook.
Press "Command P" and when the Print dialogue box comes up, towards the bottom there is an option allowing you to choose the text size, i.e: small, med, large.
Hope this helps,

How can i make the text go vertically in numbers
How can I make the text vertical in numbers? I have merged the cells and cannot find an option for making it go vertical as opposed to horizontal.
I already gave two tools to fit this kind of needs.
tip #1 :
--{code}
--[SCRIPT write_vertically]
--=====
--=====
Save the script as a Script: write_vertically.scpt
Move the newly created file into the folder:
<startup Volume>:Users:<yourAccount>:Library:Scripts:Applications:Numbers:
Maybe you would have to create the folder Numbers and even the folder Applications by yourself.
In a cell, type a word to write vertically then select it.
CAUTION, don’t select the cell but the word which must be highlighted.
Go to the Scripts Menu, choose Numbers, then choose “write_vertically”
The script insert in the cell the word after inserting a return between every characters.
For my own use, I link a shortcut to the script thank to FastScripts.
--=====
The Finder’s Help explains:
To make the Script menu appear:
Open the AppleScript utility located in Applications/AppleScript.
Select the “Show Script Menu in menu bar” checkbox.
Under 10.6.x,
go to the General panel of AppleScript Editor’s Preferences dialog box
and check the “Show Script menu in menu bar” option.
