How do I make the event inspector in Calendar wider?
This appears to have been changed to a fixed width dialog in Mavericks. In the previous iteration, it was at least possible to get some additional width (although this was also limited for some reason.
A lot of corporate environments receive Outlook style meetings with large text fields with web conference links/conf. call numbers, etc. and these are essentially converted into unreadable gibberish by the extremely narrow Mavericks Cal text field....
Unfortunately, since Lion, this is not possible in the weay you desire. I have tried, and searched the forums to no avail. I'm sure many have called in and submitted feedback about this issue, but 3 Lion updates later, and the new Mountain Lion OS, have not changed this behavior in Apple Mail.
If you change the font and/or font size, you will not see any change in the new Lion layout. Within the message you are viewing, changing the size of the message font, only makes changes to the "To/From" portion of the header, and not the message itself. Please understand this is if you have Apple Mail set to be viewed in the default Lion layout. If you open Preferences>Viewing, and check "Use classic layout", then you can see all changes to it. Still, it will affect both viewing and composing. There does not seem to be a way to isolate them.

This is probably a dumb question, but I can't find an answer. How do I make the text on my calendar larger so I can actually read it when I print it out? I am using a MacBook.
Press "Command P" and when the Print dialogue box comes up, towards the bottom there is an option allowing you to choose the text size, i.e: small, med, large.

When i go to my calendar there is a birthday package. If I make that checked (and turned on) how do I make the birthdays on my calendar to have the birthday picture? I obviously need to do something else to make the birthdays show up on the calendar. What?
To show up on the birthday calendar, a birthday has to be entered under the individual contact's information. Go to contact, edit, scroll down to add field and then choose birthday.

How can I make the marker event pulse width longer in NI-FGEN?
I want to generate a marker event on PF0 line using NI-FGEN.I can set the marker event pulse width but when I was trying to make the pulse width units as 65 I was getting an error-1074115931.

Can anyone help me out in doing the same?Unforunately, as you mentioned, the PXI-5412 does not support scripting mode. This will limit you to 1 marker using sequence mode. However, the PXI-5421 and PXI-5422 would allow the functionality.
As far as making the pulse width longer, and as the KnowledgeBase Article that you linked to discusses, I don't think it will be possible to create a marker as long as 1us - 10ms using just the Marker properties and without using scripting. You can still try to do this with property nodes and see if you can get a usable result. Start with an example such as "Fgen Arb Waveform Marker" and use the "Marker Position" value to set the start time (you would want 0 here it looks like), and then "Marker Event Pulse Width Value" to change the pulse length, but again I am afraid you will probably reach the maximum of 640 ns here. If you're not able to get this going with the property node, you will need either a FGEN card that supports scripting or another card that does Digital I/O to accomplish this.

How can I make the combo box turn to the value of black.
When the show button is pressed (and not before), a filled black square should be
displayed in the display area. The combo box (or drop down list) that enables the user to choose the colour of
the displayed shape and the altering should take effect immediately.When the show button is pressed,
the image should immediately revert to the black square, the combo box should show the value that
correspond to the black.

To put a monitor to the events occuring in the GHUI u need to register required components with the appropriate EventListeners.
Liek if u want to get notified when a mouse is clicked, then u need to add The MouseListener to the component which u want to be monitored.
Say
myFrame which is the JFrame object which shuld be monitored for the events.
Then in ur program u have to add following code
myFrame.addMouseListener( someObectReference );
Here the someObjectReference should be an instance to a concrete class ..i.e. U write a class like the following

How can I make the text vertical in numbers? I have merged the cells and cannot find an option for making it go vertical as opposed to horizontal.

Under Lion, my calendars' color coding is next to useless because they're suddenly so muted.
Previously I could easily pick out which events belonged to which calendar without effort. Now, all the colors are so light as to be nearly indisinguishable; I must toggle calendars off and on to highlight a calendar's events. -
How can I make the sort default "by date" in iPhoto?
On one of my computers, every time I load an event, it goes to the top of the library and I have to go to "sort/by date" to get it to go to the end or bottom of the library...where I want it.
On my other computers, the default seems to be "by date" normally....

I combine events that are imported into that iPhoto. I suppose that would qualify as manually sorting....right?
