How do I make the "print pictures" box come up every time I select a group of pictures?
HP 5510 OfficeJet All-in-One printer &, Windows 7 When I select 20 or more pictures from a Windows folder, right click and select PRINT, it pops up a "Print Pictures" application that allows me to select full page, wallet size, etc and then send to the printer. However, if I only select a few pictures, it sends them directly to the printer as full page size. How do I get it to ALWAYS bring up the application?

I very often use different presets from document to document. Thanks.
Once you select the Show Details for any application, the next time you use that application and select to print, the full details pane should be shown.
If this is not happening and the applications always show the Hidden Details print dialog then you may need to perform some sort of reset.
Also, if you were to use the Presets option and set commonly used settings as a Preset, then even if the print dialog is not showing the extra details, you can still select the desired Preset from this print dialog. -

However you can use Automator: create an Application in it, and select 'Set the Desktop Picture' from the Library. Choose the picture you want. Save the application, then go to System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items and select the Automator application you just created. This will then run at startup and set your chosen picture. -

I have an Iphone 4s, and every time I receive a call and i dont answer it, the cell shows a black screen with many things to do and automatic messages to send, like "call back, save, remind, call now, call later, etc". If I don´t close it as soon as i receive the call, then the cell gets frozen in that screen and i have to restart it. Sory for my english, i´m from argentina! thaks for your help !!!

somehow I must've clicked a button that took away my drop down box when I go to use my Google search so different sites that I go to a lot I would always just click it when the drop-down box came up I would click again and hit search and you would bring that page up but even if I go to a site once I leave that I try to click and make the drop-down box come up again with the new search and it nothing happens so the problem is I need my drop down box to come back up to all the places that I visit kind of like a history of like I said I would just click and it would come up by itself now the drop-down box won't come up anymore so I need somebody to tell me what to do to bring my drop-down box back also I am new to computers so I don't know a lot so don't be real technical thanks for the help merry Christmas from Joe
It's not a matter of me assuming to restore it, once the error comes up, the only next step I can do is to restore it. I can't access any of the iphones settings in itunes or anything, it's a mandatory restore. If I just cancel the sync (before restoring) and disconnect the phone, all my apps crash on opening: aka unusable phone. So I have literally no choice but to restore every time the error shows up if I want my phone to work.
I have no idea where I may have duplicate files as it doesn't tell me, so if that is the problem (which I don't think it is) then I don't know where I have to go to delete the duplicates.
And the duplicate file error still doesn't explain why leaving iTunes to restore the phone doesn't work and me having to drag the window around. I know it sounds utterly ridiculous, my friend didn't believe me when I told him either but then I showed him and he was as confused as I am. If I just leave the restore to do its own thing at it's own pace, it will loa maybe 20% then fail for whatever reason. -

I have to actually same problem today 23.10.2012. For an example I have only changed billing methods and have bought hundreds of apps but I remember clearly that I bought for an example ,,Wikipanion Plus'' and ,,OPlayer'' which is now HD OPlayer and I did not see them in purchased items, neither ,,not on ipad/iphone'' nour ,,not on my computer'' and I check in both my computer. I confirm hereby that I took the chance to re-buy these two Apps again through the same account but I got the message ,,As you have bought the previous version on this account you will get this update for free'' so I clicked yes and I got them both. This doesnt only proof that I have purchased them before and purchased items in iTunes Store has some lacks to fix but also it proofs that I also bought them through that specific account as I had to confirm the buying process. In my opnion this is not a thing which Apple should be relaxed with as its very important that powerusers and regular consumers can trust and rely on doing business and to shop via iTunes. I have a lot of expensive Apple Hardware and for me this is a stepping stone and a serious test on the circle of trust. If this cant be fixed I cannot recommend others to trust the store.

Use the scroll down /up wheel on your mouse while pressing the ctrl key. That worked for me.

Hello, it depends what App & Document type, some say PDFs have the font stuck at a certain sise, but say in Text Edit, open a document, Highlight some text the CMD+a to Select All, then type CMD+t to get the Font/Text size menu, select a bigger size.

Mac pro / Laserjet 4 / Os 10.6 - how do I make the printer work?
Hi,
I have a 2008 Mac Pro running 10.6.8 and an ancient yet still thriving HP Laserjet 4 that I was using over an ethernet/Jetdirect connection with my G5 for years - how do I get them to talk to each other?
I'm running the printer connection through a router, but the Mac Pro has 2 ethernet ports so I guess I can plug the printer in directly if that's simpler. The IP of the printer is 192.168.5.40 and I've tried setting it up with the "Add a printer" dialogue but can't get it to work.
I've read through a lot of posts and looked at a lot of Websites but I can't find step by step instructions for getting the computer to see the printer. I have Gutenprint drivers installed if that helps.
And - just to keep the discussiion concise:
- I know that there are better newer printers that I could buy for cheap, but that isn't going to happen right now.
- I know that 10.6 isn't the most recent OS
I'm hopipng for truly step-by-step instructions that even I can understand.

Yes. As far as your network is concerned, the printer is just not there.
You will not be able to progress until you assign it an IP address accessible to your LAN. Apparently it needs to be 192.168.1.x (a 1 in the place that is now a 5), where x = a large enough number that is not likely for router to assign to other equipment.
Your challenge is to assign the printer that IP address. Let's use the address 192.168.1.150.
HP's support pages for that printer and its Jetdirect card say, rather unhelpfully:
Using the front panel of printer
The IP address may also be changed using the front panel of the HP Jetdirect device. This method of front panel configuration varies greatly depending on the model of HP printer that is being used (consult the User's Guide for the front panel instructions for a particular printer). Click here to go to the HP Web site. Use the Search and search for Front Control Panel TCP/IP Configuration .
I did that and it didn't really get me anywhere, since there seem to be few if any references to the non- "MP" or "V" etc. variants of the original LaserJet 4. So, try to find a setting in the printer's front panel that bears any resemblance to "network settings" or "IP address".
If you are able to navigate its front panel to a place where you can enter the IP address 192.168.1.150 be sure to press GO or ENTER or ONLINE or whatever you think might make the setting "stick" after you enter those digits. Print the same test page you did before, and ensure its IP address has really been changed. Then, then try the ping command again, with its new IP address:
ping 192.168.1.150
If you are unable to determine a way to use the printer's front panel to change its IP address, you should be able to use Terminal to set it. This will get a bit cumbersome so use it only if you are unable to change the printer's IP address some other way:
Terminal is a program in your Mac's Utilities folder.
Locate Terminal and open it. At the command prompt, type the following exactly as written (copy and paste the following to avoid errors):
sudo arp -s 192.168.1.150 00:60:b0:91:21:e7
... and press Return. You will get a warning of impending disaster should you make a mistake, and requesting your Mac's Administrator password to proceed. Type your password (which will not appear as you type it) and press Return. Unless something went wrong the command prompt should immediately reappear as if nothing happened.
Next try the ping command again:
ping 192.168.1.150
You should receive ping responses from the printer as in my earlier example.
If you do, then congratulations because you have made it all the way to Step 1
You still have to add the printer in System Preferences > Print & Fax, using this new IP address, and make sure the Gutenprint driver works.
Edit: The reason your printer works with your old G5 running Tiger is that it is using AppleTalk for communication. AppleTalk doesn't exist in Snow Leopard. This is the reason you must use IP for communication on your Mac Pro. Your old G5 should continue to work with the printer as it always has.
another Edit: HP's support page alleges that the Terminal command arp above will only work with JetDirect firmware versions x.08.03 and later only. Yours appears to be A.05.05, so the front panel option may be all there is. If that does not work I have one more idea but it's an even bigger pain. -
How can I make the print larger in hotmail
When I am on Firefox and access my hotmail account, the print is so small I cannot read it. I would love to use Firefox as my default internet but I have to revert back to internet explorer as I can't read the emails with such small print.
