How do I make the window controls bigger

the red green and blue buttons in the top left of a window. Is there any way to make them bigger like in 10.6. They're too small. Thanks?

More like the colors have changed to conform to their idiotic monochromatic push and dulling everything in sight, but I think the sizes are the same. Maybe, doesn't look good on the iOS devices they're testing it with. If it doesn't meet your needs or expectations, file a bug report with Apple for loss of functionality.

How can one make the window control buttons bigger in Mountain Lion? The x - o buttons. Making them smaller from Snow Leopard seems like a stupid and arbitrary ******** change. Like many changes in L/ML. It's especially bad for people with accessability issues. If there is a hack or something, please.  Thank you.

Can't. However, post your feedback here:

Click on the Hot Corners..  button and look at the four definitions.  In the picture below, if you moved the cursor to the right top of the screen, it would slide all the applications off the screen as you describe and show the desktop.  Set it to "-" to deactivate.

But on the other hand, I also have some problemes with the sizing of the pop up...

  • How can I make the Windows Media player the default player for my browser.

I cannot listen to radio station WYSL 1040 AM on the web. They say that the default player on my browser must be the Windows Media player. How do I comply with their demand?

In Firefox it is the MIME type that determines which player is selected.
Install the new WMP plugin (np-mswmp.dll), you only have the classic WMP plugin (Npdsplay dll)

  • How do I make the toolbar buttons bigger

The toolbar customization allows me to make the toolbar buttons smaller, but it doesn't allow me to make them any larger; I have a large screen and poor vision and have trouble seeing the small buttons and tiny fonts since the firefox 4 upgrade.

The easiest way to do this is with screen zoom.
In System Preferences, choose Universal Access.  Make sure Zoom is set to “On,” then click “Options….”  At the bottom of the sheet that slides down, make sure “Use scroll wheel with modifier keys to zoom” is checked, then click the text input box to the right and press the Control key on your keyboard.  You should see a ^ in the box.  Click Done.
Then when you want to interact with smaller elements on the screen, hold down the Control key and scroll up using the wheel or ball on your mouse, slide one finger up on your Magic Mouse, or slide two fingers up on your trackpad.  The screen will zoom in towards your pointer, and it will be much easier to target small items when zoomed in.
Hold Control and scroll down to zoom back out.
    Hope that helps!

  • How do I make the days NUMBER BIGGER?

I have been using Palm for the past 10 years. For those ten years every week I print out the month (on a sheet of paper) and I put it on my wall next to my computer. This way I can always take a quick look at my month.
Last month I switched to iCal. I'm having two issues with iCal. #1 the months are printed in landscape mode (Palm would print in portrait). And #2 is driving me crazy, and that is that the DATE numbers are very small.
Is there a way I can make the FONT of the DATE numbers BIGGER?
The font for the DAYS print out at 10 point size. I wish it would be at least 16 or even 24 pts.
I see an option for making the "event" fonts bigger, but the day's numbers are still tiny.
    : (

I can't believe these is no option to make the type bigger!!

  • How do I make the windows full screen?

I would like my windows in Safari and other programs to run full screen - I mean I paid for 24" not 19" lol. I tried the green button it didn't work. I just unboxed it a couple of hours though so obviously I'm very new to this.

This actually brings up a fairly good point: only a tiny subset of web sites are intended to be seen at the full width of a 24" monitor! Human beings are very poor at reading comprehension when confronted with incredibly wide lines of text.
It's even worse if the web site is a fixed width, as most are nowadays: why would you want a Safari window to display huge swaths of blank background to the left and right of the content? Instead, I'd use the space to keep an eye on your mail program in a separate window, watch your buddy list in your preferred IM program, etc.
If you really do want the green button to completely maximize your browser window, though, there's an easy solution: switch to Firefox 3.5. To provide consistency between the Windows and Mac versions, clicking the green button in Firefox fills the entire screen.

  • I'm brand new to Macs and Air. How do you make the onscreen text bigger overall. The print is super small?

I am going blind trying to see the tiny text on this laptop. I'm sure there is a way to make it bigger overall.  Also need bigger text (to see as I type) on e-mails? What do I do?

    Overall ?
    Try a different resolution
Open System Preferences > Displays > Display > Scaled
For Mail. With Mail open, from the menu bar, click Mail > Preferences then select Fonts & Colors tab.
Click Select to change the font and font size.

  • Saving as a PDF -How do you make the PDF not bigger than the original file?

I am running Mac OS X Panther.
I understand that Mac OS X creates a "Digital Master" PDF file, which is larger than a typical PDF file because the resolution of images in the file is not scaled down. The PDF file includes each font character used in the document.
    Problem is this.
I actually want the PDF NOT to be bigger than the original document file.
    Can anyone please help?
    Thanks
    J Slater

    jslat,
It's probably most important to know exactly what you intend to do with the saved pdf file? Are you going to need to print the pdf etc.?
This Apple Knowledge Base article may help if you haven't already read it:

edit: You have posted in the 10.3 Panther OS and earlier forum and you appear to be using 10.4 (Tiger) by your computer specs below your topic which may handle pdf's somewhat differently. In your post you mention Panther so I just wanted to clarify if need be.

  • How do I make the marching ants bigger so I can see them?

    Hi.
I just "upgraded" to Photoshop CC and a new macbook pro on Yosemite.
I have been using photoshop since the 90's and this is the first time Im having serious problems with it.
The "marching ants" are impossible to see when using the magic wand to select.
Im sure there are better ways to select these days- but I have a method to my madness and need to be able to see what Im doing.
And yes my glasses prescription is up to date.
It feels like its a function of black and white imagery and this new screen which though "better" doesn't feel "better"- in fact it makes many things harder to see...
Any advice would be very very much appreciated.
    Thank-you

2880 must make your UI look very small.   I have a display that supports much higher res but to work comfortably, I drop my screen res back so I can see what I'm doing in PS and other Adobe apps.

  • How do I make the page appear bigger or smaller?

On a couple of wesites that I go to frequently the type and or font has either decreased or increased in size. How do I get these particular pages back to their original settings?

You can reset those pages to the default zoom level with '''{Crtl + 0}''' - that's ZERO - while you are viewing those pages.
