Let me try this again:
Step 1: Set your foreground layer to dark blue
Step 2: Fill your "Background" Layer with the dark blue
Step 3: Create a new layer by clicking the page icon at the bottom of your layers pallette.
Step 3 (I forgot this step before): Fill "Layer 1" with White
Step 4: Set your background color to white and your foreground to black.
Step 5: Go to your top menu and select Filter > Noise > Add Noise
Step 6: Here are some starting settings you can try:
Step 6: Set that layer's blending mode to "Multiply"

I just want to do the same background with those brushes but i could'nt. I've made a lot of gradient colors but it's not like this picture.

To get blurred colors you can use a bluring technique. Start off by painting large spots of color on your image.
Go to FIlter > Blur > Gaussian Blur:
Then, change the intensity of the blur to your liking
As far as the other image, that seems a little more complicated and requires some more steps.

there you can see some sub-videos with St. Mary and some animals on it looking a little bit transparent in the sky. I knew it's just a simple and old effect but I'm new to video editing stuffs.
What I'm guessing is that adjusting the sub-videos's opacity won't be enough, some area works and adjustments are probably required as well but I have no idea what tools to use.
Would anyone here be kind enough to help me out?

It shows how to perform "Two equality-conditions query on a single primary database" just like SELECT * FROM tab WHERE col1 = A AND col2 = B using entity join class, but it does not give a solution about the range join query.I'm sorry, I think I've misled you. I suggested that you perform two queries and then take the intersection of the results. You could do this, but the solution to your query is much simpler. I'll correct my previous message.
Your query is very simple to implement. You should perform the first part of query to get a cursor on the index for 'a' for the "1<=t.a<=2" part. Then simply iterate over that cursor, and process the entities where the "3<=t.b<=5" expression is true. You don't need a second index (on 'b') or another cursor.
This is called "filtering" because you're iterating through entities that you obtain from one index, and selecting some entities for processing and discarding others. The white paper you mentioned has an example of filtering in combination with the use of an index.
An alternative is to reverse the procedure above: use the index for 'b' to get a cursor for the "3<=t.b<=5" part of the query, then iterate and filter the results based on the "1<=t.a<=2" expression.
If you're concerned about efficiency, you can choose the index (i.e., choose which of these two alternatives to implement) based on which part of the query you believe will return the smallest number of results. The less entities read, the faster the query.
Contrary to what I said earlier, taking the intersection of two queries that are ANDed doesn't make sense -- filtering is the better solution. However, taking the union of two queries does make sense, when the queries are ORed. Sorry for the confusion.

How can I make this shape in fireworks:
I want some images in my website to have rounded corners. Im doing this by adding 4 divs with background images and absolutely positioning them, one over each corner of the image. The background images are PNGs with transparent areas. This works as the site's background is a solid color, so the rounded corners dont need to actually be transparent.
The issue im having is that the pixels on the curve need to be semi transparent. Id love to make this shape as a vector but I dont know how.

There is another simple way to get the shape desired. Create a rounded rectangle that is twice your corner size - both width and height wise. Now adjust the rounded corners to almost make a circle (pull the yellow corner handle towards the center of the side). Now click the corner and you will be able to toggle between the different corner types. You can now either use the shape as it is (if you need it for corners of a sprite rounded rectangle) or you can cut it up to get the desired wedge.

One of them would be:
export the specific point were it starts to Quicktime Conversion > Still Image >OPPTIONS: Photoshop.
Open this still in Photoshop. Cutout the man by using the magic lasso tool.
So then 2 layers. Background and Foregrond (The man).
Import this 2 layered PSD in FCP. Cut it right after the point you exported. On V1 the Background, On V2 the Man. Bring the background to Black and white. Set Keyframes for the SCALE on V2, in order to 'zoom in' on the person a little bit.
And ad a title effect.
Well, this is the short version. Try to play with it yourself. You can also do all the compositing in Motion, or After Effects.

If your original footage contained the background, the rock, the actor, and the branches then your first task would be to separate each of those to a separate layer. Then you would create or shoot the smoke and lighting effects and start building the layers. You then would modify the masks and effects on each layer to create the light wrap and look of the atmosphere using blend modes. Then you would add color grading effects or overlays to simulate the lighting in the shot. If you were really doing a shot like this you would probably add some lighting cues on the set to help sell the idea that a bunch of energy was lighting up the actors face. Like Mulenium said, there may have easily been fifty folks working on this shot for several days. It's completely unreasonable to expect that you can just add a plug-in and adjust some sliders to create the effect. Every composite requires you to separate elements into layers and then sandwich the elements you need to create and sell the effect you want to sell. -

Well, it sounds as though you are trying to install Windows software on a Mac computer.
If that's really what you want to do, you have another project to do first. You could use Apple's Boot Camp software or 3rd party software such as Parallels or VMWare. If so, you have some reading and research to do.
