How do I make title appear in the background?
My videos are similar to Apple's white background and text videos. I'm trying to make the text appear in the background. There two parts of the video where my hand is covered by the text on screen. Please help. Thanks!
If it is truly white, you can try this.
Put a pure white matte on track one.
Put your title on track two.
Put your video on track three and apply a luma key to get rid of the white background. You will need to restrict it to just the tightest settings to only get rid of pure white (RGB 255,255,255)
That should put you over the title.
But it will only work if your clothing has no pure white and your background is pure white. If it isn't, you might have to play with the levels to get it white, then create a matte from the result in order to key out the white.

Select the kind of title you want, drag it to the Viewer. Click the Controls tab in the Viewer. Enter your titles, tweak your settings (color, font, etc). Then move the clip to your sequence. In general, Boris Title 3D and Title Crawl work best.
If you want the titles to appear over video, place the title clip(s) on a track that is higher than your video. -

How can I make a folder in the TV shows for my home movies collection? I have created a folder in the library in finder and put all the videos in there but they do not appear in itunes.
pshultzIt's best to never move iTunes media around in Finder. Add it to the Library through the iTunes interface by dragging them into the window. Once they've been added to the library, you can try using Get Info on the files in iTunes and change the tag info to make them group together. (A unique album name should do this.) If you want them to be included with TV Shows, you can try using Get Info to set the Kind to TV Show (found under the Options tab in Get Info), but I'm not sure if it will work. Otherwise, you could make a playlist and drag them into to access them all in one convenient spot.
If you add the items as noted above and they still do not appear in your library, it's probably because they are not a compatible format.

Hey there! So I plugged in my ipod to my computer and it didn't show up where it normally does. I need to update my song list. How can I make it appear? It doesn't come up in iphoto either. A few days ago my sis plugged it into another computer but I don't know if she synched it to the other computer, and frankly, she won't remember. ThanksHere is a modified version of one of Doug's Scripts. My modification was to add Sort Name to the list of tags that could be changed. I tried it on a single track and it worked. I recommend backing up your library first. Select the tracks you want to change (or all tracks) and run the script from the Applescript Editor. If it works as intended, save it so you can apply it to newly imported tracks. And, yes, I know this isn't the exact answer to your question, you want to change a preference setting in iTunes (if there is such a setting).

If you can't find the Music and Videos apps on any of your homescreens or app folders, then can you can't find them via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right) ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find them after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
How do you make it so that the ipod will play all the different artists featured in an album when you click that album to play? At the moment, each artist in the album is being separated and I can't play them together. For example, to play the Halo 2 Soundtrack, Hoobastank, Breaking Benjamin, Nile Rodgers, etc. are some of the artists featured. However, in the Albums category, they are each separate choices. I want to play them all together, but can't. Is there a way to do that?
It sounds like the album metadata is incorrect, or differs from song to song in iTunes. Albums with various artists will play properly assuming all the songs are tagged with the same identical album name, as well as the track number. For the Halo 2 Soundtrack, metadata should look like this:
Song: <Song Title>
Artist: <Song Artist>
Album: Halo 2, Vol. 1 (Original Soundtrack)
Genre: Soundtrack
I had a similar problem with my imported Cowboy Bebop albums and the mixture of artists/album names. Once I adjusted the metadata, all of them play in the correct order just by selecting the Album from the available list or in Coverflow. -
