How do I manage multiple devices on the iCloud

How do I manage multiple devices on the icloud.  We have 2 ipods, 2 iphones, ipad and a mac and right now the icloud thinks my son has my phone.

Try going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>My Info (in the Contacts section), then select your contact from the list.

All devices signed into the same iCloud account will finish up with the same contacts. Of course if prior to joining iCloud two family members each had an entry for Uncle Fred, then you will finish up with two contact cards for Uncle Fred, and so on. If you tidy this up on your computer then the changes will propagate to everyone else.

  • How can I manage multiple devices in iCloud?

I have 30 devices that I need to manage.  I want all devices to be managed under a single iTunes account.  Attempting to have a separate itunes account for every device would be a huge headach, and serious time-waster.
I do not care one whit about iTunes on a computer, so please don't point me to the article on using multiple iDevices on a single computer.  These devices are not synchronized to computers, unless individual users decide to sync their phone to load up music, photos or whatever.  Further, when the phones come into IT I do not care at all for the data stored on the phones.  These are business phones. So if a user chooses to put anything on the phone, that user is responsible for backing it up / reloading if we have to wipe it.
So, with those criteria -- HOW do I manage all of these devices on a single iCloud account?  Most specifically, I am trying to get "Find My iPhone" to work, but it says that all devices are off-line.  I have my assigned phone in my hand, turned on, and using the internet.
In truth, I actually don't care about anything except the Find My iPhone functionality -- we do not sync our phones with iCloud.

  • How do i manage multiple devices and multiple libraries?

    Hello,
I have 3 computers (mine, my mothers, and my son's).  I have 3 ipads, 2 iphones, and 3 ipod touch's that I need to manage and organize.
I want to take all the "kid stuff" off of my ipad, ipod, and iphone, and my mother's ipad and iphone, and put them on my son's ipad and ipod.  Son's ipod used to belong to my mother, so it was started with her itunes account.  I just synced it with his computer, but had to use her itunes account info to do it.  Son's ipad is new and will be delivered soon. My 3 devices have been synced with my computer and my itunes account.  Mothers 3 devices are synced with her computer.  I just created another itunes account on my son's computer.
How can I get all this data moved around and put on the correct devices and the correct computers?  OR, is there an easier way to do this that I don't know about?  I'm pretty computer savvy, but my head hurts thinking about how to try to do all this.
I also have a Stora device that I would prefer to have all the media live on, rather than 3 individual laptops.
All of the ipads are generation 1, the phones are 3s and 4 (soon to be 4 and 4s), the ipods are all touch, but do not have cameras, and all the computers are window's based.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you,
    Sarina

  • How can I remove a device from the iCloud?

I upgraded my iPad, replacing the old one, the new one does not sync with iCloud Drive, in other words my iPhone 6 used to sync data with the previous iPad.
I have already checked the iCloud login and made sure iCloud drive is on on both devices and made sure the app in question is also on on both devices.
I believe the reason is because now my iCloud account shows two iPads, the old and the new one.
How can I delete the old iPad from my iCloud account?

After logging into iCloud, you can select devices, and then remove the old device. Have you gone on the old device and disabled iCloud Drive, or signed out of iCloud on the old iPad. That would be the easiest I believe.

An iPhone can only be connected to a single copy of iTunes at a time for music, movies and videos, whether or not you set it to be manually managed. Manual management only allows you to control what you put on the iPhone; unlike with other models of iPod, it does not allow you to connect the iPhone to multiple computers. If you move the iPhone to another copy of iTunes, it will erase all the content and there's no way I know of to get around it. The only way to have all the same content on your iPhone when you connect to another computer is to get all that content into iTunes on the computer first.
Why that is I don't know, but that's the way it is.
'm well aware that there exist programs where I can pull everything off my phone and put it back on once its resynced, but I'm looking for different options.
There are no other options that I've heard of.

  • How do I manage multiple devices for multiple people?

I have an iPad and iPhone. Both of my sons (7 & 9) have an iPod touch. What is the best way to manage our accounts so that hey can't purchase things on my credit card or see my email etc., but, allow them to have access to some items that I purchase?

Open itunes, connect one ipod, select what that person wants, sync.
Do the same for each ipod.
Each will ONLY swync what the user of that device chooses to sync.

  • How do you connect multiple devices to the mac?

I have a mac desktop and a laptop and two external hard drives.  I would like to connect them so that I can use the laptop and desktop simultaneously and save to either of the hard drives.  Also, would like to retrieve files off of one EXT, work on it, and save it to the other EXT.  Is that possible or am I trying to do something that can't be done?  Thank you.

All of what you want to is very possible and done by many people every day. You connect over your network, your home or busines LAN (Local Area Network) to share files, folders, drives and connect both externals to either one Mac or one external to each Mac then when you want to save a file to the other Mac, or to an external drive connect to the other Mac, or to another drive connected to the same Mac you Broswe for that other Mac, drive, folder over the network or on the same Mac. You do all that from a Finder window or the Save As dialog box that opens when you select Save As in a program you are using.

  • How do I add multiple songs to the iCloud at the same time?

I have several songs that are not getting matched to imatch and getting uploaded to the cloud. I tied highlighting all the songs that have a cloud with an x through it indicating that the song was deleted from the cloud and that it was not on any device. I can add it mannually, but only one at a time. How do I do this for hundreds of songs with a xcloud?

For the moment there isn't a way for us end-users to control what is "matched" or "uploaded." That is purely a result of Apple's server-side algorithms.
To re-add multiple songs at once simply highlight all the songs you want to re-add, then right-click (or Control+click) the list and choose "add to iCloud."

  • How do you manage multiple users, iTunes and icloud

I haven't figured this out yet.  I have an iTunes account, two daughters who buy most of the music on it but we all share the account.  We all have Macbooks and iPhone 4 or 4S.  I don't want to download their music and they don't want to download mine.  How do we blend iTunes, iCloud and our phones and Macs without so much cross-pollination?  I already have music in my library that has been downloaded since I got my new iPhone and activated iCloud and it's music they purchased.

  • Managing multiple devices on 1 computer

We recently purchased ipod shuffles for each of our kids. I have a ipod nano that i've had for years. How do I manage multiple devices through iTunes?

    Hi, welcome to Apple Discussions.
*How to use multiple iPods with one computer*
The Apple support document How to use multiple iPods with one computer suggests a number of ways. I use method two (Sync with selected playlists) with a slight twist. Rather than regular playlists I set the grouping field to indicate which users should receive which tracks and create smart playlists based on the content of this field.
    e.g.
"Alice's Tracks" is "Grouping contains Alice" + "Kind contains audio"
"Bob's Videos" is "Grouping contains Bob" + "Kind does not contain audio"
Tracks that both Alice & Bob want on their iPods have the grouping set to "Alice/Bob"
    etc.
I currently manage our family's five iPods using this system, each getting a different selection to suit their tastes and the capacity of their iPod. An advantage of using the grouping field is that it is stored in file tags (for non-wav audio files anyway) so that it is relatively easy to recreate the playlists should the iTunes library get trashed. Also useful if you move files about manually as playlist membership is preserved when you delete & re-import the tracks.

How do I manage multiple itunes devices with other family members on a single computer?
I do not want to share libraries.

There's a couple of options (other than using specified playlists or manual management out of a single library).

  • Our home network has multiple devices connected by iCloud. Having problem with Calendar. On one iMac, all the events are duplicated. How can I correct that problem? Under the Calendar accounts, I had my Apple id listed and also just iCloud.

Our home network has multiple devices connected by iCloud: 2 iMacs, 2 iPhone 4s, 1 MacPro Laptop, and 1 iPad 2.  When using Calendar, all the events were
duplicated on my husbands iMac.  On his computer, under Calendar accounts, I had included iCloud and also my iCloud ID.  I thought that because I had two accounts listed that were connected to iCloud, that might be the cause of the duplication.  When I deleted ithe calendars from one of the accounts, it resulted
in deleting all of the events on all of our network devices!
I have since entered some new events into Calendar from my iMac and from my iPhone.  These appear correctly on all devices except my husband's iMac where they are again all duplicated.
I have two questions: 1)  How can I eliminate the duplicated events on my husband's computer and 2) How do I retrieve the old wiped out Calendar events from
Time Capsule.  I don't know how to find Calendar in the Time Capsule.  If I find the Calendar information in Time Capsule, how do I transfer it to my current Calendars?
I was obtaining phone help from one of the Apple techs at Apple Support, but our call was disconnected part way through.  Didn't know how to reconnect with the tech.
    Thanks for any help.
