How do I manage my iCloud storage?

I use a Windows XP computer, and I was wondering if there is a way that I can see all of the files, documents, etc. stored on my iCloud account. I wanted to clean it up before I used it on a new device and couldn't find a clean way to view everything that has been backed up. Is there any way that I can view the details of what's backed up so I can manage what is stored on my iCloud account? Thanks.

You can view and edit/delete much of your synced data by going to icloud.com from your computer browser.  However, you can't view or edit any data contained in your iCloud iPhone backup, if that's what you're trying to do.

If you are using the same iCloud account on all your devices (as recommended), then you could manage your iCloud storage in "Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage" which would have effects accross devices.

How do I get an iCloud storage refund because I upgraded it to 15 thinking it would give me more iPad storage space. But it didn't.
    What do I do?

You can cancel an iCloud storage upgrade within 15 days of buying:
Apple have made this as difficult as possible. However two posters have managed to achieve this. Elizellen was able to use Express Lane to get a refund:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/19323996#19323996
However if you use Express Lane may find you cannot proceed without entering a hardware serial number which is still eligible for AppleCare.  julia22 managed to find a way round that by phoning them - please see this post:

it gives the USA number - if you don't live there you will have to find an equivalent number from the 'Contact Us' link at bottom right of this page.
If it is more than 15 days since you purchased the storage you cannot cancel it for a refund; you can downgrade your plan as from your next renewal date. Please see
    http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmd602084a
and expand 'Downgrade your storage for the next plan year'.

If you've wiped the device remotely then it is no longer associated.
You could also change the password for your Apple ID.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You could sign up for iTunes match and use iCloud photo library with optimisation enabled. The later will keep optimised photos on your device and iTunes match will let you access your whole collection and make room for newer content by removing older unplayed items.

  • How do I activate the iCloud storage I have purchased?

How do I activate the iCloud storage capacity I have purchased for use on my Mac OS 10.7.5?

The following is from this Apple document: iCloud: iCloud storage and backup overview
    What iCloud backs up
You have important information on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. iCloud automatically backs up your device over Wi-Fi every day while it’s turned on, locked, and connected to a power source. With your device information backed up in iCloud, you can easily set up a new device or restore information on one you already have.
    Here’s what iCloud backs up:
Purchase history for music, movies, TV shows, apps, and booksYour iCloud backup includes information about the content you have purchased, but not the purchased content itself. When you restore from an iCloud backup, your purchased content is automatically downloaded from the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store. Some types of content aren’t downloaded automatically in all countries, and previous purchases may be unavailable if they have been refunded or are no longer available in the store. • How do I manage local device storage in Settings?  I get a message that I do not have enough local storage when attempting to update Apps, and need to manage local storage.

How do I manage local device storage in settings?  I know how to get into Settings, of course, but not how to proceed beyond that.  Thanks.

Go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage and check to see how much storage you have used.
If you are deleting apps and other content, something about that message doesn't seem right to me. What are you trying to do when you get this message? Take photos? Shoot a video?
Try quitting the camera app completely and restart the iPad. See if the message goes away.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

  • How can I cancel my iCloud Storage plan?

When I upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 5 and it turned into a "brick" I was forced to use iCloud to backup and restore and it kept complaining that I had 5.9 gb which is over the 5.0Gb free storage provided, so I purchased an upgrade - in a dazed and confused state as my iPhone was a "brick" I must have done this twice to recover my iPhone.
Result is that I now have an additional 20Gb Storage Plan.
Nice email saying that I can cancel it within 15 days, but not where or how to do this. I spoke to Apple iPhone support who said its another division, try iTunes support website and I should be able to email and cancel - but not seen any email address.
Tried iCloud Express Lane but they want £20 for an incident ticket which is about what I paid for the 20gb Storage Plan!
Problem overall is that I use an iMac (PPC not Intel) on Mac OS 10.5.8 and although I have upgraded to iTunes 10.5, I am finding that WiFi sync or iCloud do not work unless you are on Mac OS 10.6 (needs Intel) or greater.
So I want to cancel my iCloud storage plan. Please can someone help me.

    Taken directly from http://help.apple.com/icloud/index.html#mmd602084a
    Do any of the following:
On your iOS device’s Home screen:
Tap Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Buy More Storage.
Tap Downgrade Options, then tap to put a checkmark beside your current plan.
To confirm you want to set up iCloud to renew your current storage plan when the next payment is due, tap Confirm.
    On your Mac:
Choose Apple Menu > System Preferences, then click iCloud.
Click Manage, then click Buy More Storage.
Click Downgrade Options, and enter your Apple ID password.
Click to select your current plan (so that a checkmark appears), and then click Done.
    On your Windows computer:
Choose Start Menu > Control Panel > “Network and Internet,” then click iCloud.
Click Manage, then click Buy More Storage.
Click Downgrade Options, and enter your Apple ID password.
Click to select your current plan (so that a checkmark appears), and then click Done.

  • How can I manage my icloud mail account on my iPad since my apple id user is my gmail account?

    Hello,
I'm unable to send and receive mails from my icloud account since when when trying to add this mailbox to my account IOS pops a message that says the my gmail account is already added.
My apple user ID is my gmail account, could this be the problem?
How can I be able to manage my icloud account in my iPad?
    Regards,
    DM

Let's try deleting the iCloud account from your iPad, then adding it back.
If you have any photo stream photos on your iPad, save them to your camera roll by opening your My Photo Stream alburm, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.  The force close the Mail app by double-tapping the home button, locating Mail in the list at the bottom, tap and hold Mail until it wiggles, tap to close it, then tap the home button agian.
Then to delete the iCloud account go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, choose Delete from My iPad when prompted.  This only deletes the account and your iPad data from your iPad, not from iCloud.  Then go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in and turn on your sync settings, confirming that Mail is set to On.  Your iCloud data will reappear on your iPad after a brief delay as it redownloads.  Open Mail and see if your iCloud account is there now.

  • How can I find my iCloud storage breakdown?

I am over my storage limit and don't want to buy more storage. I used to have no problems before videos on photo stream skyrocketed my data. I've deleted all videos and delete my iCloud data.  So now I have approx 500MB of photos and nothing else of size but my iCloud acct mgr says I need nearly 6GB of space. What besides video could need that much data?
ICloud seems like a an intentionally designed trouble spot so clients almost always need to buy extra storage.

You can see what your iCloud storage is used for and delete any unwanted content at settings > iCloud > backup & storage > manage......
