How do i manage the PSA

Hi experts. Please let me know how the PSA is managed in SAP BI Netweaver 2004's. The SAP Library says that in the Data warehousing Workbench under the Modeling section, i should find a PSA tree and invoke its context menu for managing it, but unfortunately i cannot see this. I only have InforProvider, Source Systems, DataSource etc.
Please assist.

Depends on what you what to do:
1) To Manage the PSA - Click on Infoprovider (under Modelling). Then find your infocube, DSO etc., expand the dataflow downwards, e.g. Transformation -> Data source. Rigth-click the data source and select Manage. Here you will see an overview of the requests loaded into your PSA. Select one and click on the PSA icon in the bottom to display the data.
2) To display the PSA tables -> look at the following post where I've answered that question :o)

It will be backed up on your computer and can later be restored to an iOS device using iTunes, if desired. Of course, if your hard drive crashes you'll lose it if it isn't backed up somewhere else. If you want to included it in your computer backup, it will be located at one of the following locations:
Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup
Windows XP: %AppData%\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
Windows Vista: %AppData%\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
Windows 7: %AppData%\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup

For each PSA there is a table assigned , you can directly deleted the PSA table to delete all the data for a particular PSA.

How Best to Manage the Media Cache?

Hi. I use a Mac Pro and have a 24TB RAID which holds most of my media. My problem is how best to manage the Media Cache which gets very big, certainly to hold on my OS drive (as recommended) . I could store it in a separate "cache" folder on my RAID but will this effect performance? Or is it best to save it with its media? I would rather not trash the Cache files as I often need to draw upon older projects and it's media for current projects. I think this is the weakest part for FCP editors switching to Premiere.

Ideally you should have five internal 'drives':
OS/Programs
Projects
Cache/Scratch
Media
Exports
You've got the OS and Media drives worked out, now get those other three in place.

You really can't manage it. Thre is no feature or settings that allows you to manage it. As you use Open In on the iPad, the compatible apps for that file type will appear in the Open In menu. The more that you choose a certain app for the file type, the faster it will move up to the top of the list - IIRC.
Other than that, there is no way to control it or remove or add apps in the Open In menu.

P0001 being a service item would be defined as a standard cost item with Issue method backflush. In this case using a floating price might not be possible.
You could actually consider the quantity to be the price and define the price as 0.1 / any lowest mutiple and in the Production Order change the quantity to equal the total cost of painting.
Can we have a purchase order for the Item P0001 from a production order of item A0002 ?
P0001 if defined as a labor / service item cannot be purchased.

You said you transfered from a USB
If you just dragged them and dropped them or added the folder they were from on the External Device Directly....
They will only play when that external is plugged in
You should delete them from iTunes - since iTunes works as short cut and doesnt hold the music in its self.
Then Move them Directly from the External to like your Music folder- create a new folder inside of it as example "USB MUSIC" and then add that to your ITunes library

How to delete all the PSA data in one go

Hello Guys,
I want to clear all the data from all the PSA tables at one shot, how can i do this??
I have tried following things:
1) I have gone to PSA root node and right click and then clicked on delete PSA data, but its showing me all the datasources and when i am executing that, it is deleting one by one(that i means i need to select individual datasource, which i do not want).
2) Above specified step runs RSPSADEL1 in background , so i doubt whether it deletes psa data only or complete Table?
3)I got the info from other posts that there is a fm which is RSATREE_PSA_DELETE_BATCH, but i need to make myself clear whether this fm deletes only data or complete Table?
I am using sap-bw 3.5.

Hi,
there is one easy way to delete data from PSA .You can create a process chain have one delete data from PSA step where you need to give PSA table name and request older than (no of days before which you want to delete data ).
Execute it and it will delete all the data before specified no of days .You can add multiple PSA tables here and can delete whole data in one go .

Managing the music on my phone used to be so easy. I have a large library and would just click boxes next to the artists I wanted and uncheck the ones I didn't. And changed frequently. Now, I can't manage the music on my phone. I upgraded itunes one day and it hasn't been the same since. I have tried to figure out how to manage these songs. You've told us lots of stuff, but failed to mention exactly why you can't manage the music on your phone. What can you no longer do?
I continue to tick and untick songs so that they come off or go back onto my iPods, two of them. Could it be that you are missing the Sidebar, which as the Playlists, device (when connected), and Library options - like so?
If not, then what is it you do want?

How do I manage the amount of space for back up on a timecapsule

I have a 1GB time capsule that is stating that it is full. I only use it for back up of my macbook. I want to add a pc to it for backup purposes. Is there a way to manage the amount of space one user uses?

First, you'll need some sort of app on the PC to do backups to a network location.
Second, mixing Time Machine backups and other data on the TC's internal HD presents some conflicts. See #Q3 in Using Time Machine with a Time Capsule for details and some possible workarounds. Your easiest option is to connect a USB drive to the TC and back the PC up to it.
If you still want to do both backups to the TC's internal HD, you have two unattractive options:
Erase the TC's internal HD, and let Time Machine start fresh.
Manually delete a lot of old Time Machine backups to make room for the PC backups. See #12 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions and don't miss the pink box there.

For iPhoto 09 (version 8.0.2) and later:
What you mean by 'share'.
If you want the other user to be able to see the pics, but not add to, change or alter your library, then enable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and use Fast User Switching to open the other account. In that account, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. Your Library will appear in the other source pane.
Any user can drag a pic from the Shared Library to their own in the iPhoto Window.
Remember iPhoto must be running in both accounts for this to work.
If you want the other user to have the same access to the library as you: to be able to add, edit, organise, keyword etc.
Quit iPhoto in both accounts. Move the Library to the Users / Shared Folder
(You can also use an external HD set to ignore permissions, a Disk Image or even partition your Hard Disk.)
In each account in turn: Double click on the Library to open it. (You may be asked to repair the Library Permissions.) From that point on, this will be the default library location. Both accounts will have full access to the library, in fact, both accounts will 'own' it.
However, there is a catch with this system and it is a significant one. iPhoto is not a multi-user app., it does not have the code to negotiate two users simultaneously writing to the database, and trying will cause db corruption. So only one user at a time, and back up, back up back up.

Ope the PC in RSPC1 -->go to planning view of process chain
in left side you will find different types of process types.
under other BW process types folder -->you will find process type "Delete request from PSA"
drag this into your process chain planning view and customize it based on your requirements.

BBSM - how do we manage the report Database

From the documentation, it seem that we can not purge BBSM records in the report Database. Does somebody care about the management of those records, if yes how ?Can it happen that the database get full and that BBSM crash ?

As a regular maintenance item I would clear out the transaction history and debugging tables. These should not cause the BBSM to crash but can cause a performance hit.
Purge both the transaction history and debugging tables. This can be done via SQL commands. MSDE has a 2GB limit per database. The past history in the transaction history will be purged. If you want to save this data in a text file, use the following:
Bcp "use atdial select * from transaction_history" queryout -T -c
The above will export the table to a tab delimited text file. It will be very large and notepad will not be able to open this file. You will need
to use excel, access or some other text editor that can handle large files.
The next step is to purge the two tables. These will be the largest tables especially if they have been using debug. Transaction_history is
written to constantly and needs to be purged on occasions.
From the command prompt
OSQL -d atdial -E
> delete transaction_history
> delete debugging
> go
