How do I manage the sidebar?

When I'm in System Preferences>Desktop and Screen Saver, I want to remove some folders/files that are in the sidebar but I'm not sure where they're located and how to remove them.
I only want my screen saver files to appear but what shows is: Computer Name, .Mac, Pictures Folder, Desktop Pictures, and Choose Folder...

Because OS X is a multi-user operating system and as such has organizational hierarchies that you should observe.
The System folder is only accessible by the "root" user. This is the highest echelon in the hierarchy and is where the main OS system files and folders are stored. You should stay out of this folder unless you really know what you are doing.
The Library folder is accessible to the "root" and "admin" users. Files in this folder are accessible to non-admin users on a read-only basis. Items stored here are available to all users but can be modified only by the admin or root users.
The Users folder contains the folders for each user on the computer. These folders are accessible only to the user who owns the account and the root user. All your personal data should be stored within your user account folder.
Apple warns that you should not delete, rename, or move any OS X files or folders. Doing so without knowing the consequence can render your computer non-functional and may require reinstalling the OS from scratch. This can also result in loss of important files.

It will be backed up on your computer and can later be restored to an iOS device using iTunes, if desired. Of course, if your hard drive crashes you'll lose it if it isn't backed up somewhere else. If you want to included it in your computer backup, it will be located at one of the following locations:

Windows XP: %AppData%\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup

Im sorry but I figured it out now. I hate when you figure something out right after you do something extreme like signup for a profile here and post a question. Well to those who want the answer all in one shot there are 2 solutions for me.
1. Make sure Safari is updated completely. You can check by clicking SAFARI> ABOUT SAFARI
Safari 5.0.5 gave me this problem but the new update is 5.1.2
2.Glims - Free ad on for Safari which enables you to view you window in COMPLETE full screen at all times, as well as maximise your window to fill all empty space (makes so you dont have to worry about accidentally clicking on your desktop which I do all the time lol). You can use this option once Glims is installed simply by clicking on
SAFARI> Full Screen
or
SAFARI> Maximise Window Size
By doing Full Screen mode you can then click on the full screen capability on the website you are on

How Best to Manage the Media Cache?

Hi. I use a Mac Pro and have a 24TB RAID which holds most of my media. My problem is how best to manage the Media Cache which gets very big, certainly to hold on my OS drive (as recommended) . I could store it in a separate "cache" folder on my RAID but will this effect performance? Or is it best to save it with its media? I would rather not trash the Cache files as I often need to draw upon older projects and it's media for current projects. I think this is the weakest part for FCP editors switching to Premiere.

Ideally you should have five internal 'drives':
OS/Programs
Projects
Cache/Scratch
Media
Exports
You've got the OS and Media drives worked out, now get those other three in place.

You really can't manage it. Thre is no feature or settings that allows you to manage it. As you use Open In on the iPad, the compatible apps for that file type will appear in the Open In menu. The more that you choose a certain app for the file type, the faster it will move up to the top of the list - IIRC.
Other than that, there is no way to control it or remove or add apps in the Open In menu.

You can hide the glossary, format, and tool bars but you will always have the book outline on the left side. If that's not sufficient, I recommend that you create your content in a writing tool and import (copy/paste) the content in IBA when you are ready to format and layout you book.

You could actually consider the quantity to be the price and define the price as 0.1 / any lowest mutiple and in the Production Order change the quantity to equal the total cost of painting.

If you just dragged them and dropped them or added the folder they were from on the External Device Directly....
They will only play when that external is plugged in
You should delete them from iTunes - since iTunes works as short cut and doesnt hold the music in its self.
Then Move them Directly from the External to like your Music folder- create a new folder inside of it as example "USB MUSIC" and then add that to your ITunes library

You've told us lots of stuff, but failed to mention exactly why you can't manage the music on your phone. What can you no longer do?
I continue to tick and untick songs so that they come off or go back onto my iPods, two of them. Could it be that you are missing the Sidebar, which as the Playlists, device (when connected), and Library options - like so?
If not, then what is it you do want?

You should be able to close the sidebar with its close X.
If the sidebar doesn't stay closed then check for issues with the localstore.rdf file.

Opening in the sidebar is the default for bookmarks that are created via a link or button on a website.
You can check the properties of a bookmark via the right-click context menu in the sidebar (Ctrl+B; Command+B on Mac).
In the Bookmarks Manager (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks) you can click the More button in the Details pane at the bottom right.
Make sure that "Load this bookmark in the sidebar" is not selected.
