How do I manually fetch synchronised calendar data?

In my Mail, Contacts, Calendars Settings, under Fetch New Data > Advanced, I have some synchronised calendars set to Fetch, and my setting in Fetch New Data is Manually. I have a similar setting for a mail account (in the same list on the Advanced page) and in the Mail app I can fecth the mail by dragging the window down (or just opening the mail app). I can't seem to get an equivalent action in the Calendar app so I can't see how to get updates from the calendars I'm synchronised to. There is an enticing circular arrow button at the bottom left of the Calendars page, but this doesn't appear to do anything (and it isn't described in the user guide). I have tried setting my fetch option to one of the time periods (like 15 min) but it still doesn't appear to be getting calendar updates.

I am on WiFi but the button has no visible effect anywhere (at the top is just the usual WiFi icon), and events which I know to be in the synchronised calendars are not appearing (only the events which were there when I first added the calendar).

You sign into whatever iCloud or Mail account the calendar was synced to, and enable the Calendar option for those accounts.

How does manual fetching of google contacts and calendar work?

In an effort to possibly save some battery life and/or just use the product as intended I would like to know how this works exactly. At this point I only have two email accounts I use. Yahoo and GMail, with GMail being my primary account. Gmail is the only calendar option I use as well.
I don't add contacts often, nor do I make tons of calendar entrys every day. So when I look into the settings for mail, contacts and calendar, then fetch new data (which shows push as on, which I want) and then advanced, the only two things listed on the fetch schedule are google calendar and google contacts. iCloud and Yahoo mail are listed as push.
So can I set the fetch schedule to manual as opposed to hourly (the longest setting) due to the fact that I am not in constant need or hourly need really of updates to either? Or will calendar notifications fail to show up on time and all my contacts disappear or something?
Battery life or not, if I could have both be "push" I would, as it seems counterintuitive not to, but so does manually looking out every hour for changes to something that likely hasn't changed.

Going to reply to myself on this one, I tryed switching everything to manual fetch today, and at least with respect to contacts, it appears to only go out and sync when the contacts are opening (ie I saw the spinning wheel and watched a contact I had made while in airplane mode on the phone show up online). So I think that it would work the same for calendar entrys.

How can I get missing contacts, notes, calendar dates and reminders that are just on my old iphone onto the iCloud for transfer to my new iPhone upgrade? Half of my contacts, notes, ect. were on my iCloud so have happily moved to my new iPhone but the rest are completely resistant. For example, on my iCloud I have 14 missing contacts starting with the letter A alone, however they are happily viewable on my old iPhone 4S and won't budge over into the iCloud.
There are also 3 notes missing yet still acessible on my onld iPhone 4S, the list goes on.
Your help would be most appreciated. Thank you so much.

The following peocess corrects the calendar entry:
edit the contact & change the birthday, save the change; edit the contact & change the birthday to the correct value, save the change again. The calendar entry then displays on the correct date. Alternatively as a temp solution I can just de-select the "birthdays" calendar which stops the icon being displayed.
Thanks for your advice, I think that it's n going to be a slow process to fix all the entries for not much return.

I don't think there will be a solution to this. Exchange 2003 just isn't supported.

How to fix calendar date inconsistency

I have a problem with closing material period due to inconsistency with actual calendar date. Last closed period in material master of specific cc is 07.2009.(It is test system with IDES database). How to close remaining periods to 01.2012. I can not do it in mmpv.

Hi, If it is IDES follow below step, but never try this in Production system,
First check in OX06 & OBY6, "Fiscal Year Variant" is maintained as K4,
Then Use T-code OX18, delete all the assignments of your company code & plant,
Now use T-code OMSY enter the year & period (2012 & 01)
Noe again Use T-code OX18, and again do the assignments of the company codes & all plants

The help info, HT4901, was the closest info from the Help pages but it assumed we were already on icloud and had simply disconnected our calendar from icloud. Actually, we were simply trying to synch our devices by signing up with icloud for the first time, so it seems our calendar never had a chance to get uploaded. In any case, how do you reconnect / re-access a calendar on icloud?

If your calendar does not appear on icloud.com it never uploaded to iCloud. If it is no longer on your computer you would have to restore it from a backup source such as Time Machine to restore it.

You'd have to think through this, but it seems like if you are using Outlook, and the items vanished from the Outlook client as well as the server,that you could re-populate Outlook using iTunes.
