    You can't.
    Use an alternative navigation app from the AppStore that works without a data connection and downloads map data in advance.

  • How can I manually install software from recovery partition?

    Hi,
    I'm looking for information about how install preinstalled software after OS upgrade.
    As far as I can see, it is done through 3 different locations:
    Recovery partition (D: drive)
    SMINST Folder (located in %Windows%)
    hp Folder (invisible folder in C
    First step is to identify the machine (brand/model) to allow installation.
    Then, scripts will install packages.
    It should the be possible to manually install the software from the recovery partition.
    As far as this software is bought with the computer (so part of the price) and there is no way of getting the original installers from the support website (only updates available), it would be "fair" to be able to perform a manual install...
    Is there anyone with this knowledge?
    Thx in advance for your help.

    I cannot believe no one replied to you.   I am having the same problem.  I can print but not scan thru the MFNP feature. I'm not sure how/why it is working for printing.   I setup the print driver on all my client laptops to my wifi router/access-point such that its SNMP-enabled on channel 1.  The MNFP port said 161 on the printer when it was working.  Not sure these two protocols are the same... SNMP and MNFP.  I think the latter is Canon's own protocol...not sure how to get it to work with my network. I have a Netgear RV6300 access point connected via wired ethernet to the cable modem which is by Arris (one of those all-in one routers/switch/WAP -- but I'm using the Netgear as my WAP for my WLAN, although the printer gets a DHCP assigned IP on the main router - 10.0.0.9)  At one point I had it set up as static IP 10.0.0.200.  Maybe I will switch back to that...don't know if it will fix scanning though.

  • How to transfer pre instaled maps

    My N95 came with a 1gb memory card with full uk maps pre installed. I also bought a 4gb memory card and need to know how to transfer the pre installed maps from the 1gb card to the 4gb card any help much appreciated.

    Hi vinty
    I would suggest enable "show hidden and system files" on your PC and put 1Gb card in card reader and copy contents to new folder on desktop; after formatting 4Gb card transfer contents from newly made folder.

  • Nokia Suite 3.6 clears pre installed map data from...

    I had a problem with Nokia Suite clearing pre-installed maps from my new Pureview 808 and E5-00. The first time I let Nokia Suite 3.6 check for outdated maps, it reported that over 700MB worth of maps needed updating.
    I didn't think much of the time taken but after maybe 5 minutes connection was lost and so were the preinstalled maps. Nokia Care didn't help as they said it was a PC or internet problem.
    I also noticed in Nokia Suite 3.6 that the country Thaliand is missing from my installation of the suite for Pureview 808. However the country is there inside my phone's map loader. Thailand is present inside Nokia Suite when I connect my E5 to Nokia Suite 3.6.
    Can anyone tell me what the pre installed maps in the phones are?

    @wkl12mr
    It depends upon the product code of the device as to which maps are pre-installed upon Mass memory of 808 as this determines localisation.
    Presumably your 808 is running Nokia Maps v3.09_12wk09_b05 and if you use "Maploader" from within Nokia Maps application is not Thailand listed as per screenshot?

    Edit your first post's Subject to be prefixed by [SOLVED].  I read through the whole thing, and realized it was fixed already.
    Btw, I'm a newb as well.
    So two lessons here.  I just wanted to emphasis what I do in these circumstances.

    +1 this. Before I run "any" script, I always open the script and inspect it.  99 out of 100 times, it is Debian-specific (aptitude's "apt-get" is a dead giveaway).  In these cases, you are on your own to install it manually by reading each line in the script and executing it.  Welcome to Arch (the same if you were installing on CentOS as well, since it was written for Debian).
    Unless.....

    Personally, I've started to lean onto the AUR process over manual installs.  If it hasn't been "ported" to Arch via AUR, I've started to remove them from my toolbelt.  Lightening the load, I guess you could say.
    Until you get a lot more familiar that is.

  • How do I manually install Flash Player on my Android device?

    Flash Player for Android is no longer available for download from the Google Play app store, but Android users can still download and install Flash Player from the Archived Flash Player Versions page on the Adobe website.  To do so, please watch this instructional video or follow the steps below:
    If you are encountering problems using Flash Player, please click here for an HTML5 version of this video: YouTube HTML5 HD Link
    Make sure your Android device is connected to the Internet.
    Open the Settings menu.
    Select Security (or Applications, on older Android OSs).
    Place a checkmark next to the "Unknown sources" check box.
    Tap OK to confirm your selection.
    Close Settings.
    Launch the browser.
    Search for "flash player archive page" or navigate directly to http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
    On the Archive page, scroll down to "Flash Player for Android archives"
    Select a version of Flash Player that is compatible with your Android operating system.
    Tap the link to download the Flash Player installer. Download begins automatically.
    When download completes, close the browser.
    Open Notifications.
    Tap "install_flash_player.apk"
    When prompted, tap Install.
    When installation is finished, tap Done.

    Well, it needs one in order to install Flash Player.
    Most smart TVs have Chrome OS, which has its own Flash Player built by Adobe, but modified by Google. Nothing can be done with it here.
    See: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/alt.tv.tech.hdtv/Sy5SA4mWcX8  for info on how to update it.

  • How can i manually install the swz files in the assetcache!

    I have a computer that has no internet connection, and since i use components from SDK 4.1 and want to run my application anywhere,
    i need to do a "manual update of flash" and have it register the external swz files.
    If this is not possible, then maybe it could be possible to have all components compiled into one, and only one, swf file, so i can copy that file
    to the "offline" pc.
    I really believed, that the "merge into code" actually compiled everything into the code, but i must have misunderstood.
    I have tried to "reset" the swc components, so they do not use the download url, from adobe, but it makes no difference, and i have edited the flex-config.xml file in the SDK's framework folder, but no luck so far.
    Any hints are welcome,
    TIA
    Allan

    Hi Gurdeep
    I removed the fpdownload references, and set the use-network=false and the static-link-runtime-shared-libraries=true.
    i use the rpc_xx.swz, sparkskins_xx.swz, spark_xx.swz, texlayout_xx.swz, framework_xx.swz and osmf_flex_xx.swz libs.
    I have a master swf file, compiled in flash builder, and a child-swf that is loaded from the master (using the mx.swfloader), and the child is compiled using the mxmlc commandline compiler.
    I am investigating, if the child could be the culprit.
    I have tried to find a way to "install" the required components in the assetcache, but found no other way than "copying the swz and heu files" there myself.
    It actually works, but it would be nice to do this "the proper way"
    Thankx

  • How can i modify SLT mapping data types ?

    I am modeling an Attribute view in HANA sp05 and i need to create a join betwwen two standard tables CRMD_ORDERADM_H and SRRELROLES using files GUID and OBJKEY.
    these two fields have two different types of data ( GUID = RAW and OBJKEY = CHAR).
    When SLT replicate these files in HANA the data types are (RAW = VARBINARY and CHAR = NVARCHAR). I can't create these join in HANA.
    So i have to change the transformation rule in in SLT for something like: In table SRRELROLES for field OBJKEY the tranformation rule will be (CHAR to VARBINARY).
    How can i do this in SLT?
    I have to use the transaction IUUC_REPL_CONTENT?
    OR
    Can I insert records in tables IUUC_REPL_TABSTG and IUUC_REPL_TAB_DV ?
    Thanks and best regards for all!

    HI,
    use IUUC_REPL_CONTENT. It will insert the relevant values to table IUUC_REPL_TABSTG and IUUC_REPL_TAB_DV .

  • How can I MANUALLY install madwifi?

    Hi all,
    I'm a bit of a situation here: I have installed Arch, but my only means of going online in via my Netgear WG311T which uses madwifi modules. It works absolutely fine on other distros so I know it can work.
    I cannot connect my pc via ethernet as I have bunnies that will chew the hell out of the cable, and I cannot physically keep my eye on the cable at all times. (So please do NOT tell me to use the ethernet right now)
    I know there is the madwifi-ng in unsupported in Arch, I downloaded the pkg file and all the dependancies, but when I installed it I got a "missing" directory" error...
    The command I used was:
    pacman -A pkgname
    I would prefer using the Arch pkg rather than downloading madwifi from their site, if possible.
    Help please!

    scrawler wrote:
    I've been happily using the madwifi PKGBUILD I got from the AUR.  I've been keeping it updated--works great.
    I don't believe I have madwifi-ng-utils or madwifi-ng(-archck), at least I didn't install the packages--what am I missing, anything?
    The convenience and security of using a package from the official Arch repos. If you're happy building/maintaining your own, keep doing it.
    scrawler wrote:Oh, and, maybe this belongs in its own thread, but is there a nice fancy-pants frontend I can use with the madwifi stuff under xfce4?
    Someone has a madwif-enabled, guified, wpa-supplicant package in the AUR - it might do.

  • RE: Dynamically mapping data to widgets

    One quick and dirty solution would be something like this (though not
    terribly efficient):
    newPanel : Panel;
    newPanel = <panelCreatedFromWindowWorkshop>.Clone(deep = TRUE);for childWidget in newPanel.children do
    -- check if the childWidget field name matches field name to be
    set
    if childWidget.name.isEqual(source=<..FieldNameToSet..>,
    ignoreCase=TRUE) then
    dataWidget : dataField = dataField(childWidget);
    if dataWidget.textvalue = NIL then
    dataWidget.textvalue = new;
    end if;
    -- set the textvalue of the childWidget to required
    value
    dataWidget.textvalue.setvalue('WORKS !');
    end if;
    end for;
    Your problem would have been directly solved if the Forte library class
    CompoundField provided a SetDataObject( ) method corresponding to the
    GetDataObject( ) method.
    According to Forte Help - "The GetDataObject method returns the object
    that the compound field is mapped to. If the compound field is not
    mapped to an object, this method returns NIL."
    Maybe Forte could consider providing this in a future release.
    Another option would have been to use the GetFieldByName( ) method on
    the newly created panel to get at the child widgets directly.
    According to Forte help - "GetFieldByName is designed for use in dynamic
    applications. For example, you can use GetFieldByName to retrieve the
    names of dynamically created fields for immediate use in dynamic
    applications."
    This works fine for compile-time named widgets, but I couldn't get it to
    work for the newPanel child widgets using the code below, or maybe I am
    missing something here.
    newPanel : Panel;
    newPanel = <panelCreatedFromWindowWorkshop>.Clone(deep = TRUE);newPanel.name.setvalue('newPanel');
    newPanel.parent = <aGridField>;
    dataWidget : dataField = dataField(newPanel.getFieldByName('age'));
    (OR)
    dataWidget : dataField =
    dataField(<aGridField>.getFieldByName('newPanel.age'));
    (OR)
    dataWidget : dataField =
    dataField(self.window.getFieldByName('newPanel.age'));
    In all cases the return value was NIL.
    Maybe someone from Forte could shed more light on this.
    Hope this helps.
    Prashant.

    Subject: Dynamically mapping data to widgets
    Here's what I'm trying to do:
    I have a panel with a bunch of data fields that I've mapped to an
    object.
    I want to replicate the panel several times to programmatically
    populate a
    TabFolder (although the TabFolder bit isn't really relevant here, I
    think).
    But I can't figure out how to get at the mapped data in the replicas
    of my
    object...
    newPanel : Panel;
    newPanel = <panelCreatedFromWindowWorkshop>.Clone(deep = TRUE);
    panelCreatedFromWindowWorkshop.anAttributeOfObjMappedToPanel =
    something;
    // tada! "something" appears in a data field of the original panel
    newPanel.? = something; // how to do the same thing with the new
    panel?
    How do I map an object to the replicated panel? I've experimented
    with
    assigning "Widget.AppData" to a new object, but I can't seem to get it
    to
    do anything...
    Thanks in advance for your help.
