How do I manually register FCS3?

Hi Folks,
I've just installed FCS3, a brand new (unopened) copy I just purchased from an online retailer. When I installed and opened the program, it tried to register. When I filled out the form and clicked the "Register" button, a brief error message came up and I was told that it would try to register later. Anyone have experience with this? One of three things has likely happened (at least, as I see it):
1.) The software is not legit (I sure hope this isn't the case)
2.) Because it's old software, Apple no longer registers it (FYI: I also recently purchased an old version Adobe AE, and that registered with Adobe, no problem)
Note: If this is the case, I hope this doesn't mean that Apple considers it an illegal copy; I plan on using it for business... I paid enough for it!
3.) It's just a temporary glitch that happens.
In any case, I'd like to manually initiate the registration process (rather than keep re-starting the program and be asked to register). Anyone know where in the menus I would look to start the process to manually register the software with Apple?

Thanks for your response, David. Is this true? I don't have to register, even if I am using it for business?
FYI: I went through the registration process. At the end, I got a message that thanked me for registering; that message further stated that I would receive an e-mail of confirmation. However, I didn't get a confirmation e-mail. So, it appears the numbers (serial and packaging numbers required for registration) worked, i.e. they weren't rejected. Perhaps Apple "registers" the software but doesn't acknowledge the registration because it's EOL???
Do you know anything about this specifically? If I use this software for business, will I be getting into trouble?

You must be specific when stating the version you are running. Commands may be limited or unavailable in older versions versus more recent versions of Oracle.

You uncheck the music in your iTunes library on your computer and along with sync only checked songs and videos selected under the Summary selection for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, only checked songs in your iTunes library will be transferred to your iPhone or remain on your iPhone and the unchecked songs in your iTunes library that are currently on your iPhone will be removed when syncing.
Or make use of iTunes playlists and choose selected playlists, albums, artists under the Music selection for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes and select the playlists below that you want transferred to your iPhone.

Hi David,
Open the start menu, then select Control Panel in the right hand column. Open the Programs and Features section, type Apple in the search box at top right. You need to uninstall the components in the order suggested in the user tip.
Once all have been uninstalled reboot and use Windows Explorer to locate the named folders and delete them. Then reinstall.

I used a third party programme called Mackeeper UGHHH,it moved loads of files to the trash now i do not know where they originally came from or belong!! the put back option is in grey??how can i manually put these files back where they belong?SO upset!!

How can I manually transfer album artwork from my library to my iPod

I downloaded album artwork to the songs in my library, and now I want to get the artwork onto the songs on my iPod classic. Problem is, I manually manage the songs on my ipod, instead of auto-syncing.... so when I hit the "sync" button in the latest version of iTunes (11.1.1.11), nothing happens. There also isn't a "show album artwork on iPod" button anymore. I'm afraid to change my settings from manual to automatic syncing, because I have lots of playlists on my iPod that aren't in my library, and I don't know if these playlists will be removed during the auto-sync. So how can I manually get the album artwork onto my iPod?

You can only backup iOS devices.
Sadly the old trick of removing all artwork and then adding it all back again no longer works. You may get some joy if you removed the specific album, then add it back again, butgenerally once things go wrong with artwork on a classic the only option is to restore it. Not a problem if all the media is in your library and you sync with a small number of selected playlists. If you don't have all the media see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

How do you manually manage podcasts with the new iTunes?

Like the subject line says: How do you manually manage podcasts with the new iTunes?
With the previous version of iTunes, when I plugged in my iPod, I could select the iPod, select podcasts, and manually delete episodes. With the new iTunes, I can't select individual episodes when looking at my iPod through iTunes. Is my only option to Sync? If so, why is that my only option?
This question probably has a simple answer, and I'm just not seeing it.

I think I figured out a way to do what you want to do - which is the same way that I use Itunes with my Ipod. (My Itunes libary was destroyed last year so I can no longer auto synch my Ipod as I would lose thousands of songs).
Funnily enough, I discovered this new way of manually moving podcasts while trying to figure out what cpragman was trying to say (I never could - he must be smarter than me, as I couldn't get his method to work).
1. Open up your Itunes in your regular Library view. Choose Pocasts from the left hand side (either in the sidebar if you have that enabled, or from the little "radio" icon if you don't.)
2. Mouse to the podcast you want to place on your Ipod.
3. Right-click it. A long menu will pop up.
4. Move to the "Add to Playlist" option. As you hover, all your playlists will be visible. But at the very top will be the name of your Ipod itself (whatever you named it originally). Choose THAT name, and voila! That podcast will now copy to your Ipod and be easily available when you disconnect.
A nice feature of this method is that you can shift-click several podcasts at once and do the same thing, and all your selected podcasts will copy over (if you're like me and update your Ipod only every few weeks).

tag that contains multiple class files. One class file implements
the CustomTag interface and the other class files implement various
supporting classes. All of the documentation that I have found
talks about using a single class file. I am assuming that a JAR
file will be involved, but I am not sure of the specifics.

Yes, it will involve a jar. Use your java IDE (eclipse,
etcetera ..) to create a jar containing all of the classes. Check
your ide's documentation for how to create jar files. After you
have created the jar, place the jar in the CF class path so CF will
recognize it. For example the {cf_root}/WEB-INF/lib directory. CF
must be restarted before it will detect the new jar. After
restarting CF, register the CFX tag in the ColdFusion Administrator
using the name of the class that implements the CustomTag
interface.
Though it is worth noting you can also instantiate java
classes directly from ColdFusion (ie without using a CFX
tag).

Just got automatically installed the latest 6.22 version of skype few minutes ago and I got a few questions.
First and foremost, how can I MANUALLY change the height of the textbox, where I type the messages. I would like to make it larger, like in the previous versions of skype. I don't want to move my mouse cursor through the entire monitor to reach this tiny textbox.
And second, why you guys are trying constanly to ruin something that is working perfectly ? Going to revert to the previous version until you fix all these nuisances.

There is no way to do this, it is designed to be strictly landscape with keyboard, portrait without - not the best thought-out phone on the market, mainly geared towards compulsive texters and e-mailers.
There's no way to know whetherNokia will change this with any future updates, perhaps you should make the recommendation to them directly using the 'contact us' link.

How do I manually start a workflow to...

I have a list with 2000+ items in it. I create a 2013 workflow in SPD that will look at an item and if it date is less than 1/1/2013 it will create a copy of the item on a list used for archiving, then delete the existing list item.
My question is how do i manually start this workflow on the entire list (instead of selecting 1 item at a time)?

How do you manually lower the resolution on a hp photosmart 209a-m printer

I want to print with black ink only and lower the resolution. How can you manually lower the resolution settings? Black ink only is no issue but I cannot lower the resolution to below the 600 that it's set for. Wasting ink! Planning on getting a non- hp printer due to ink costs.

From applications, using DRAFT printing or FAST printing will definitely reduce the resolution.

Connect the device to the computer.
Right click on the device in iTunes and select Transfer Purchases.
Why would you lose any content by syncing with iTunes?
Is this not the computer that the device is normally synced with?
