How do I map the portlet consumer user to the producer's user? what is the idea behind this mapping? do I need to have the same user name for both consumer and producer? or, all of consumer's user mapped to one of producer's user?

If you want to create BW and SEM inside XI
you don't have to :
cause they're defined as products:
SAP BW     2.0B, 2.1C, 3.0A, 3.0B, 3.1 CONTENT
SAP SEM     2.0B, 3.0A, 3.0B, 3.1A, 3.1B, 3.2, 3.5, 4.0
you only have to define WAS fo those systems :
you nedd to have WAS of SEM and BW
(instances of those servers ) created as technical systems:

How can I map the shutdown event?

Hi,
I need to map the shutdown event (when the app is finished due to turn off or restart the machine).
My code ...
ShutdownHook shutdownHook = new ShutdownHook(this);
Runtime.getRuntime().addShutdownHook(shutdownHook);
... works well !!
But if I use the Java Web Start to deploy, the shutdown event is not trigged.
Any idea to solve this problem?

Dear sankar
As already suggested, create the client as a customer in XD01 and save. Similarly, go to XK01 and create the same customer as vendor and save. Assign the respective customer code in vendor master and vendor code in customer master.
Wherever MM activities takes place like receiving bottles via MIGO, payment will made based on MIRO. Similarly, from SD side, whenever soft drinks is sold, the amount gets debited to that customer account.
Both these transactions are recorded in FBL5N.

How can I map the category in Outlook to ICal for Google Calendar Syncing

I have the syncing working between Outlook 2011 and iCal and Google Calendar; however all my events come in with a category of "No Category" into iCal. Unless I open iCal and manually change "No Category" to my google calendar it will not sync with Google Calendar. Does anyone know how I can have the category come from Outlook to iCal and default it to my Google Calendar?

How do I map the source file name to a target table?

I am mapping a source fixed length flat file to oracle target tables. One of the tables is a parent transaction table that stores the date, record number, status, etc. and the file name of the source flat file. The file name will change daily because the date is part of the naming convention. Is there an easy way to determine the source file name and map it?
One option a co-worker is working on is writing a pre-mapping stored procedure. It would insert the file name into a table prior to the mapping. But I was hoping for a cleaner solution.

Use extarnel table to load the data from the file into the table.
Create a procedure which changes the external table definition as the filename chnages.
Use this proceudre in the mapping as a premapping process.

when the employee designation is changed the action of employee changed in infotype 0000 and previous record is delimited and that current recod automatically reflect on infotype 0001 and you find the position of employee here and esily identify.
in this way when the position changes in OM it will reflect on PA.(in infotype0001).

I am running LabVIEW 8.2 and I am trying to measure the frequency of a voltage on a PFI pin. I have heard that I can map that pin to a counter input to measure the voltage but i cannot figure out how to do it. Are there any VI's already set up to do this? How can I map the PFI to a counter?

What hardware are you using to make your measurement? What driver are you working with? You will be able to make measurements with your counter on a digital signal. If you look at the device pinouts for your device in Measurement and Automation Explorer you will see the counter terminals.

How do I map Hitachi SAN LUNs to Solaris 10 and Oracle 10g ASM?

I am working on an Oracle 10g RAC and ASM installation with Sun E6900 servers attached to a Hitachi SAN for shared storage with Sun Solaris 10 as the server OS. We are using Oracle 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.3) RAC clusterware
for the clustering software and raw devices for shared storage and Veritas VxFs 4.1 filesystem.
My question is this:
How do I map the raw devices and LUNs on the Hitachi SAN to Solaris 10 OS and Oracle 10g RAC ASM?
I am aware that with an Oracle 10g RAC and ASM instance, one needs to configure the ASM instance initialization parameter file to set the asm_diskstring setting to recognize the LUNs that are presented to the host.
I know that Sun Solaris 10 uses /dev/rdsk/CwTxDySz naming convention at the OS level for disks. However, how would I map this to Oracle 10g ASM settings?
I cannot find this critical piece of information ANYWHERE!!!!

Yes that is correct however due to use of Solaris 10 MPxIO multipathing software that we are using with the Hitachi SAN it does present an extra layer of complexity and issues with ASM configuration. Which means that ASM may get confused when it attempts to find the new LUNs from the Hitachi SAN at the Solaris OS level. Oracle Metalink note 396015.1 states this issue.
So my question is this: how to configure the ASM instance initialization parameter asm_diskstring to recognize the new Hitachi LUNs presented to the Solaris 10 host?
Lets say that I have the following new LUNs:
/dev/rdsk/c7t1d1s6
/dev/rdsk/c7t1d2s6
/dev/rdsk/c7t1d3s6
/dev/rdsk/c7t1d4s6
Would I set the ASM initialization parameter for asm_diskstring to /dev/rdsk/c7t1d*s6
as correct setting so that the ASM instance recognizes my new Hitachi LUNs? Solaris needs to map these LUNs using pseudo devices in the Solaris OS for ASM to recognize the new disks.

Mapping the title and Menu bottons

I know this is an incredibly basic question, but it's driving me crazy. How do you map the title and menu buttons? I am making a disc with an intro track, 1 main menu and 4 submenus. The submenus have buttons to multiple quicktimes (I am making a reel). I would like to have the main button go towards the main menu (and not the intro track) and the title buttons to go to the sub menu, depending on which qt I am watching. I've looked all throughout the inspector but can't seem to find the place where I can route the buttons. So far my disc heads to the intro track anytime I press main, and to just 1 certain submenu when I hit title. Anyone have any tips?

I have been having the same problem. It seems the newer upgrade won't let me get back to the title and menus. I am doing the same config. I have an opening QT movie, a menu with 4 buttons and those buttons link to tracks. I also set the end jump at the end of the tracks to go back to the menu. I also end jump the opening movie to the main menu.
What I lose is the fast forward and rewind capabilities. Also when I am in a track, I can't use a button to end jump me out of the track. Someone said I might have a function turned off or they are in a menu container. This is advanced for me. Anyway, I test in the DVD app and still have the same problems. I don't use DVDSP simulator. I have FCP3 with the latest version of DVDSP.
Anyway, I want my menu button to always bring up the menu, my title button to take me back to my opening movie and want the FF and RW as well as the end jump buttons to let me move through my tracks or jump to the end or beginning. Has it already been answered in this post or am I looking for a different answer?
