How do I mask my email address to my outgoing Mac Mail emails?

I use [email protected] for all of my email.
I have a forwarding email address through GoDaddy that is [email protected] that is linked to [email protected]
My Mac Mail app is configured for [email protected]
I would like to be able to reply to emails through Mac Mail using [email protected]
I have figured out how to do this using Gmail itself, but I would like to be able to do the same using Mac Mail. I think the solution lies here:
How do I add the domain with my forwarding email address into the highlighted dropdown menu?
Any insight would be much appreciated! THANK YOU!

  • Extracting all email addresses from On My Mac Mail

    hi all.
trying to do a final organization here after porting to mac OS.
i am trying to extract all emails from my archived mail in the "On My Mac" section of my mac pro. this means that this data will no longer be accessible from my laptop machine or from my iPhone when traveling. in a lot of cases there will be incoming mail from recipients whom i /may/ not have replied to or whom i did not reply to within Mac Mail (i am coming from PC land and i have used Postbaox before ditching this software awhile back).
i realize that i have the opportunity to ADD emails from the Previous Recipients section of my Mac Pro and from my MacBookPro - however in the case of mail that i am archiving on the Mac Pro this option is not available.
can anyone help me get from here to there (having some kind of list of my important email addresses) so that i can go through this list and either keep it on hand or add the important ones manually to my Contacts? i would say that alternatively i would be happy to bulk add these to the Previous Recipients list on my Mac Pro but this data is already somewhat out of hand and the fact that it resides only on my desktop until i add the addresses to Mac Contacts (as does the Previous Recipients List on my MacBook Pro and presumably on my IPhone).
i ran a google search and came up with the following links which i am going to print out and try and muddle through so any advice on this would be really welcome.
    THANKS

If you are lucky, you might be able to restore individual messages. To do it, open Mail and then, open the Time Machine application (in /Applications/Utilities). Then, choose the backup you want at the right and you will be able to select messages and restore them.
After restoring them, they will appear in "Recovered Messages" in the Mail sidebar, under "On my Mac"

  • How do I find my server address, directory domain or MAC OS x server?

I went into systerm preferences, then accounts, in Login Options it has Network Account Server (Join . .) when I hit Join it asks for my server address, directory domain or MAC OS X Server?  Are these all the same addresses?  Also how do I find mine?  Is it an IP address.  I just need a simple answer.
FYI I'm on a wireless network on Airport Extreme.  I also have a MacBook Pro Lion 10.7.5 hooked up with this and my MAC. When I click on Network on the MacBook Pro Lion 10.7.5 Wi-Fi comes up instead of Airport Extreme.  Do I even need to join the Network Account Server in Account Preferences?  Thank you in advance if anyone can help me

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")

  • Outgoing Mac Mail always send from the same address?

    Hey y'all -
I use 3 gmail accounts through mac mail for 3 different purposes - all fine. But when I send mail, regardless of what account I send it from, recipients always recieve my emails from the same address? E.G. I send an email from addresses 1 or 2, but when they are received they are from address 3? I've also removed address 3 from mac mail, but recipients STILL see address 3 as the sender. Can anyone help? Would a reinstall of mail be appropriate, if so what would be the effective way to go about it?
    Thanks in advance,
    Stu

    SOLVED IT!
Right, I had multiple email accounts, all gmail, address 1 2 & 3.
All mail went to the right addresses, fine. But when I compose, lets say from address 1 or 2, it ALWAYS ends up being received the other end by address 3. I only find this out until I get a reply delivered to the wrong address.
SO  go to preferences, select one of the problematic addresses, then outgoing mailserver (SMTP:) in this case it will say Gmail. Click it so you get the drop down and edit SMTP list. There is a tab that says advanced. This is where I noticed the problem. On my list of SMTP servers I had one for my microsoft account, and then one Gmail one for all 3 gmail accounts. And what did I find for authentication? the username and password of the problem address that ALL my gmail accounts were sending through. You need to create SEPERATE smtp servers for each and every account, especially when using multiple accounts of the same kind (e.g. 3 gmails!)
This fixed the problem for me perfectly and now my emails send from the CORRECT selected address. HOORAH!
    ALSO...
Regardless weather it by gmail or hotmail you compose from, mac defaults to using the next working server. Before setting up seperate smtp servers for each gmail I just deleted the one that was there and then it started sending from microsoft account etc... just to clarify that it works regardless of account type!

Sounds like you're seeing the full e-mail headers in Mail, rather than just the From, Subject, Date and To lines like normal. Is this in every message or just one? If it's just one, select it and press command-shift-H, or choose View -> Message -> Default Headers.
Alternately, if you're seeing it in every message, go to Mail -> Preferences, click the Viewing icon and set the "Show header detail" pop-up to Default.

  • I suddenly cannot search my Address Book (Contacts) in Mac Mail.  Seems to be "stuck" on one contact

I suddenly cannot search my Mac Mail Contacts.  Normally, when I type in a name, it immediately comes right up to that contact.  Only way I can see a particular contact I want is to double click on that name.  I want to be able to see it to the right of the list of all my contacts on the left.  Thanks in advance for your help.  I've tried quitting the application, but it's not helping.  I've also checked and all my Software Updates are up to date.

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)
Not exactly clear, but in Address Books tool bar, is Groups & Names shown, or just Names?

  • How do I migrate Lotus Notes addresses&calendar to my Mac?

I have over 1000 addresses and contact info plus all my calendar data stored on my employer's PC-based network in Lotus Notes (plus I have a copy on my Blackberry). I need to get it onto my home computer (a mac) and have no idea where to begin. Has anyone done this before? THANKS

    You can use:

or look in the Appstore for Outline
or export your OneNote docs to .doc or .rtf and then import them into Notes in your Mac

  • How to change the name in the "To" field in Mac Mail

My Mail program along with Address Book often put the names of both spouses in the "To" field of an outgoing message when I want, for example, to send an email to just one of the spouses.  How do I change Mail or Address book so that only one spouse shows up in the "To" field?

Click the field and it will show all the options. If you have one record in address book for two people though there isn't much you can do, in that case you should create a record for each person.

  • How do I go about using my phone to get .Mac mail

My Sprint phone apparently has the ability to access Yahoo and Hotmail email accounts, but I don't know how to use it to access my .Mac account. Does anyone happen to know how to do this? If you do, would you mind detailing those things that I would need to do to get that function up and running?

Not sure. Did you try googling for the info? A search for the term "Mac .Mac Sprint" comes up with tons of hits. If all else fails, contact Sprint to see what they recommend.

  • Host Name/IP Address Mismatch on Outgoing E-mail

    Hello,
We are getting some outgoing messages rejected by the recipient's mail server. Often, there is a message that says something about it being blocked due to spam. I believe I have traced the problem to a PTR record problem.
I sent myself an e-mail to my home account. When I check the message header, I get the following information:
    Received from mail.sacog.org (ip-66-80-58-10.dsl.lax.megapath.net [66.80.58.10]
The problem is that the IP address listed belongs to one of our routers, not GWIA. Because it is not the IP address of GWIA, the PTR record doesn't resolve correctly and the e-mail is rejected.
Where would I go to tell GWIA to send out using the correct IP address?
    thanks,
    david

    Thanks Massimo,
We just got it fixed this morning. It was a routing problem with our firewall.

You can't. It's simple TCP/IP, so you tell the OS where to route to, and
    GWIA will follow.
