How do i merge all the files in a directory into a single file

I need to merge(or move) all the files(all are .txt files) in a directory into a single file?

Thanks Martin, but I was searching for an inbuilt class or a stream like the SequenceInput class that could do this for me.

my raid 0 crashed so i used Data Rescue 3 to recover all the files from both slices of the raid!!! but... i cant open none of them the raid put have the half the data on one hard drive and the rest on the other hard drive. how can i merge the file to make them one or what do i need to do to get it back up and running

That is exactly what RAID 0 is supposed to do. It divides your data into blocks and then write the blocks alternately to each of the disks in the RAID array. So what you are seeing is exactly what you should expect to see with RAID 0.
To the best of my knowledge there is no way to return the data from the blocks back to the original data. Hence, the importance of backup with any kind of RAID most especially RAID 0.

How can I rename all the images in different folders into a same name ?

I need to rename all the jpgs in my music folders into "cover.jpg" so my mp3 player will recognize them as album covers, I've tried to use Automator but couldn't find a proper way to do it.
Could anybody give me a hint about this? BTW I've kept only one picture in a single folder.

I haven't tested this so maybe make a small folder to test on. In Automater create the following workflow
Ask for Finder Items
Get Folder Contents (Repeat for each subfolder found)
Filter Finder Items (set Kind is image)
Rename Finder Items
You may need to play with the last one a little but I think Name Single Item should do the trick. This does assume there is only one image file in each folder. I did something similar to change the case of a bunch of random files over multiple directories.

You import then to your computer, then you sync them from computer to iPhone using iTunes. Or, you make a backup of the iPhone 5, then restore that backup to the iPhone 6.

V74844-01.iso (4.1GB)
V74845-01.iso (340 MB)
V74846-01.iso (3.4GB)
V74847-01.iso (2.1GB)
Is it possible to merge all these ISO files into a single bootable ISO file, and write it to a 16GB USB stick to use it as installation media?

None of them. Only V74844-01.iso is required for a fully functional installation.

That won't do the trick. You really need the computer. That way all your data and files can be backed up when you backup the computer.
Your only other option, which is much more limited, is using iCloud:

Easiest way is to copy the entire iTunes folder onto an external hard drive and then copy it onto the new computer. Google your query. Lots of step by step instructions out there

Be carefull with what you delete & have a backup BEFORE you start, you may also want to reboot to try to free any memory that may have been written to disk.

If the hard drive that crashed is the one that stored the itunes library, be sure to restore the library from Time Machine (mac) or whatever backup you use on windows. That will get back your music. I suspect that the replacement drive has an empty itunes library and thus, perhaps, the itunes match used that to sync to its servers.

You can however share or import content from another library/account using homesharing.
