How do I merge multiple ipod libraries on one laptop?

We have over 5 ipods in the family and need to sync all their content to one library on one laptop. Every time I plug in an ipod to the laptop, it will only show that ipod's library. I have tried to merge the libraries, but end up losing songs/apps/etc. At present, for example, I can see many apps in the iTunes library, but they will not sync with the ipod that is plugged in. Thanks for any help.

I have multiple iphoto libraries on an external HD. Not much memory left on my mac HD. So I'm trying to clear up some memory. I would like to merge/organize the iPhoto libraries on the external HD. But I can't figure out how to separate the photos. I just want to organize them into seperate years, i.e., photos 2009, 2010, 2011, etc.
And since I now have aperture, how can I get these photos organized into simple annual libraries onto the external HD?

Reorganizing your photolibraries can be error-prone, so before you start, I'd recommend to check your backups of the libraries, if they are current and working.

iPhoto does not support to export partial libraries or to import and merge photo libraries, but Aperture does.
Your question does link to the document "Aperture 3.3: How to use Aperture to merge iPhoto libraries" that describes how you can merge libraries.
Do you have compatible Aperture and iPhoto versions? Aperture 3.4.5 and iPhoto 9.4.3? If yes, then you can unify your photo libraries by creating a new Aperture library on your external drive and using the command "File > Import > Library" to import your iPhoto libraies one by one into the the Aperture library.
Aperture works well with large libraries. You could keep all images in that one library and be done.
But if you really want separate, small libraries for each year, define smart albums in Aperture:
New > Smart album
and in the "Smart Settings" HUD for the album press "Add Rule" and add a "Date" rule. Set this rule to "Capture Year is ....".
This way you will have all images grouped by date in the library Inspector.
You could then proceed to export partial Aperture libraries for each year: Select the smart album and use the command "File > Export > Album as library". This will create a new Aperture library, just for that year. You can open this library in iPhoto, if you want.
I myself prefer to have all my photos in just one library; that makes it much easier to search all my photos at once and to combine them freely.

Thus far, I tired
1) Exporting "Events" from one iPhoto library to the desktop, and then imported them into my desired library. The problem was when using the iPhoto export feature, the videos don’t get exported.
2) When dragging "Events" into a new folder on my desktop, and then importing into desired library, the time adjustments I made to my files to not make the transfer (the files do - but not the time stamp). You see, I have many files where time adjustments were needed. I used the very useful "adjust time and date" feature in iPhoto to make my adjustments. My files are now properly adjusted to their proper time - I don't want to lose that information.
3) Lastly, I saw many people mention on the discussion board a third party software called "iPhoto Library Manager." This program works just as good as dragging a library to the desktop (or external drive) and then importing files into desired library - it was not able to properly transfer the adjusted dates (so that doesn't work either).
I greatly appreciate your suggestions.

How do I merge multiple audio clips to one?

Hey Everyone,
After syncing multiple clips in PE I import them into Premiere CS6 and they are all layered with their own audio tracks (though the video clips are synced with only one audio track). This causes inconsistent audio levels. How do I join all these clips which originally derived from one audio recorder to merge as one? If there is a step by step process please advise. Thanks in advance, you guys are beyond awesome.

If all audio is from a single audio source (with consistent levels0 ..the only reason you would be getting different audio levels on different audio tracks is if the Mixer has different settings....or the audio has been changed at clip level.
Its usually desireable to have audio clips on different tracks.
Can you not just drag the audio clips to a single audio track...if that's what you really need?
Alternatively a mixdown...but that requires sorting the levels anyway. ( Mixer on automation or at clip level.)

Multiple iPods / libraries on one computer

Hi All and thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
Until recently I have had three ipods with three different libraries all managed through one computer running Windows XP. I accessed the different libraries by clicking onto iTunes and holding the shift key choosing the required library when the option came up.
I have now bought a new computer running Windows 7 and just can't seem to get the same system running. Basically I can get one library up and running but each time I create a second library and import that one it just overwrites the first library leaving only the second library available.
When opening iTunes in the same way (holding down shift) I get a clear option to 'Create new library' but this always seems to superseed the existing library rather than running seperately.
It's now driving me nuts so any help to solve the problem would be fantastic. Plain English answers would be greatlt appreciated as i'm certainly no expert in this field!

How do I merge 2 itunes libraries onto one Mac?

Hi,
For a while now I've sync'd my iphone and ipad with my Macbook Air, but I'm now running out of disc space and want to start using my G5 for this. The problem I have is that there's a load of music on the Air that I either imported from CD or purchased that's not on the G5. To add to the issue, there are also a lot of duplicates between the 2 machines from CD's that I've imported onto both over the years.
So, how can I go about exporting the content from the Air into the G5 itunes library to ensure that I get all my music in one place with no duplication?
The photos are less of an issue as I've just copied them off iphoto on the Air and imported them into iphoto on the G5.
Lastly, when I do finally figure this out, will I have any issues when I connect the iphone and ipad to the G5 to sync?

How can you merge multiple daily backups into one backup for that day?

Ok, so I had some trouble getting Time Machine to backup some new files and finally had a force a "deep traversal." But now I have 20+ backups for today before I did the "deep traversal" because I was selecting "Back Up Now" to get it to backup up the new files.
Because it is annoying to have so many backups for one day, which differ only by incoming and outgoing emails, I am wanting to combine all the backups for today into a single backup for today. Is there any way to do this?

Yes. Wait 24 hours, and Time Machine will do it for you. It keeps all backups for 24 hours, but only one (the first of the day) for a month. Thereafter, it keeps one per week, deleting the others, as long as there's room. You can do what ever you want - in iPhoto albums are simply pointers to photos so deleting an album has no effect except the album is gone - only when you delete from events or photos view is the photo deleted from the library and disk (after you empty the iPhoto trash and the system trash)

You do not merge libraries.
iDevices sync to one and only one computer.
If you want a single library, you manually move the content from one library to another... all content will still be associated with the Apple ID it was acquired with.
