How do I migrate account settings to new computer

I have just installed PSE10 on a new computer.  Is there a way to transfer my account settings (e.g. Flickr account, Facebook account, E-mail contact list, etc.)?

I'm not sure this will work, but you can try copying over your old Preferences file:
"C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\10.0\Editor\Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 Prefs.psp"
That's a hidden directory, so you'll have to temporarily allow viewing hidden files.

  • How do I migrate images to a new computer?

I am using version 13 of PSE.  The images were stored on drive C on the old computer, and need to be on drive D on the new computer.
I copied the folder with all my images to a network drive, then to the new computer.  When I go into Organizer the images are not in order by date; they are a total mash-up.
I noticed that all the folders within the Pictures folder received today's timestamp, so that probably explains why I can not sort them by date (but if so, I sure wish the organizer would honor the actual image dates instead of using the folder dates).
It would be best if I could transfer the catalog so the tags would be retained, but I wasn't able get that to work right either.
    HELP HELP HELP!!

You simply install it properly like on your old computer. If you have specific questions, you need to tell us at least what programs you are referring to and what system....

  • I bought Adobe CS5 Web Premium then upgraded my computer. How do I migrate CS5 to my new computer?

Where do I download the software?
I no longer have the serial number, but I still have access to the software on my old computer.
    Thank you.

    Thank you Ned-
I was able to download the software and find my serial number, however now it is saying my serial number is 'not valid for this product.' This is not true, here is a screenshot with the install screen and in the background (below) the adobe website showing it is registered. Trust me the numbers are the same. What should I do?

When trying to update  Apps in iTunes on my computer my old Apple ID appears, which is no longer in use and has no password; even when I try to create a password for this Old ID, Apple won't let me. When I go into see my Account settings My new Apple ID / iTunes ID are listed and the passwords are correct obviously so why can't I update my Apps?   Why does my Old apple ID keep appearing and how can I get Apple to change this?

I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account.  I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there.  On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back.  Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email.  The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?

    I am a bit of a computer/Internet/iTunes dummy....
I am concerned about the health of my current computer but have not yet made the commitment to a new one, but:
    1) How can I transfer my iTunes account to a new computer when I get one...
    and
    2) What can I do if my current computer suddenly implodes and I have not yet 'copied/'saved'/otherwise protected my account, as is? -- I have already had my computer crash once and had one of your people help me restore all of the paid for songs (none of the uploaded from my own collection of CD songs, of course, so I had to spend a long time rebuilding that) -- and I believe I was told you could only help me recover that material one or two times altogether, no?
WithOUT purchasing a Mach or iCloud (I actually think I have one of the later, but rarely have checked it) account, is there anything I can do to responsibly protect my account?
Thanks for any time taken on this!!!

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
    Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
    Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Note if you have iOS devices and haven't moved your contacts and calendar items across then you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should  merge the existing data from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

Windows: How to Authorize or Deauthorize iTunes | PCWorld.
In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.
To deauthorize a computer you don't have:
De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
      1. Open iTunes on a computer
      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.
For more information on authorization and de-authorization: iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization.
