How do I move a quick collection of RAW files from one computer to another?

I will be traveling this weekend I will have all of my pics backed up on my laptop. I will be culling on the flight home. What's the easiest way to move that quick collection to my desktop when I return home? Thank you in advance.

Export the quick collection as a catalog and then port it as same

  • How do I move an iMovie 10.0.7 project from one computer to another to continue editing?

I am using iMovie version 10.0.9 and created a project that I need to somehow move to another computer and continue editing in iMovie. How can I get a file that I can drop onto a drive and open up on another computer to continue editing? Exporting the movie is not an option, as you can no longer edit the movie. Thank you!

I think the trick is to 'Considate source media' on the new library.  See:

  • How do I move over stored connections on Fire FTP from one PC to another PC ?

I have about twenty stored connection in my ftp client on FTP Tools. How do I move these connections from one PC to another, like bookmarks?

Your FTP logins are stored with your other saved passwords. This article describes the files that that store this data: [[Recovering important data from an old profile]]. If you only need to move data in one direction, you could copy the two files and then drop them into your active settings (Firefox profile) folder on the second PC to replace the existing ones.
To easily access your active settings folder, use:
Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
If you need to merge data between the two profiles, I don't know whether you can do that without an add-on. In theory Sync should do it, but... I'm not sure I trust Sync yet. Backups definitely would be recommended before trying it.

  • How to to transfer protected files from one computer to another

i was wondering how to transfer protected files from my small computer and delete them to free up space and put the on my new larger comptuer.

Locate them in the Windows Explorer, move them to the new computer as you would any file, and then drag them into the open iTunes window. They can then be deleted from iTunes on the old computer.

  • How can i transfer iweb files from one computer to another?

    Hi,
Recently my harddrive crashed and i had to rebuild my computer. I retreived most of my files but i cannot find where my iweb files are located. Does anyone know where iweb saves files or how to retreive my domain files from the web (if at all possible)?
    Thanks

Unless you moved the Domain file, that's its default location. Make sure you're looking in the Library folder in your Home folder rather than Macintosh HD. See also THIS recent post.

  • How do you copy all podcast information (new/deleted/downloaded) from one computer to another.

I am changing my itunes computer and am trying to move my podcast subscriptions from the old machine to the new one.
I want the new computer to know
    * which podcasts feeds I have subscribed to
    * which podcasts I have deleted
    * which podcasts I currently have downloaded on the old machine, so it can download them on the new machine.
Currently I have only been able to get the feeds transferred.  The trouble with this is that this only automatically downloads the most recent entry - even of the podcasts that I am completely up to date with and have already seen that episode.  And, for the ones where I am not up to date, unless I can transfer the information, I am going to have to go through and manually delete the episodes I've already watched.  (and unfortunately it's not just a case of finding where I'm up to and deleting all previous episodes (some podcasts are out of order, some I want to relisten to) )
Is there any way of doing this?  Old machine has iTunes 8.2, new machine has iTunes 10.2

Thanks - I used the Layer > Duplicate command and it worked great!
P.S. How do you drag and drop a layer? I tried dragging a layer to the other open image, but nothing happened. Do you have to hold down a specific key for this (I'm using Windows)?

  • How to transfer music files from one computer to another

    Hello,
I have home sharing enabled on both my mac and pc. I can't figure out for the life of me how to actually transfer
songs from my mac to my pc with home sharing enabled. How do you do this?
Step by step process please. I have the latest versions of Itunes installed on both machines.

    Hello clissmann,
For the step by step of transfer music over using Home Sharing, take a look at the first article below. If you are stuck or having issues, then you may want to use another alternative like an external hard drive to copy that information over. The second article can help you out with that if you go that route.

  • How can I copy a backup file from one computer to another?

I want all of my app date, music, videos, ect to be on a new computer. Is it possible to back up my iPod Touch 3g on my old computer and copy the backup file onto the new computer? If so, how?

Before your restoring your iPhone with your PC at work, you can create a backup of your iPhone on the PC before restoring.
With your iPhone connected and available in the iTunes source list, control click on your iPhone and select Back Up.

  • How to transfer site files from one computer to another?

I've got a couple sites archived on my MacBook Pro that I'd like to move over to my iMac. Is there an easy way to do this that will retain all the site settings and so that the sites will show up in the site files window as I'm used to working with? (CS4)

Yep, super easy too if you still have DW on the machine you are transferring from.
    1. Open DW on that machine, go to Site > Manage Sites > Export to create a .ste file for the site.
    2. Make a copy of the entire site folder for the site and put it on your new machine along with a copy of the .ste file.
    3. In DW on the new machine go to Site > Manage Sites > Import to import the .ste file
3a. You "may" need to relink the site's root folder under Site > Manage Sites > Edit to point to the newly copied site folder on the new machine, but all the FTP info will be there from the import

  • How to transfer Keynote files from one computer to another?

I been transferring files to my new mac from my old mac, and have found that the Keynote files don't open. Instead, I get error message -10660.
How do I successfully transfer files?
    Thanks

I'd suggest first creating an archive of the Keynote files (using Create Archive from the Finder's File menu), and see if those transfer properly.
(According to the freeware app Error Codes, that error occurs when the app you are trying to run is in the Trash -- that's not the problem, is it?)

  • How Can I Transfer Files From  One Computer To Another

I was wondering if it is possible to connect two computers by an ethernet cable and share files between them. I have a wireless router but I don't want to set up a network and I am only going to use this once to put some iTunes songs on my laptop.

Yes. Look in your Window Help for "file sharing", or search the web for "Windows XP file sharing" and you'll find information and instructions. You'll probably need a crossover Ethernet cable to get your two systems to communicate.

I have an imac and now I have a new macbook pro 15". Is there an easy way to have my macbook pro behave like a disk drive hooked up to my imac so I can drag and drop files from my macbook pro to my imac?

Better, use +Setup Assistant+ to transfer all your stuff automatically.
See [Setting up a new Mac from an old one or its backups|http://web.me.com/pondini/AppleTips/Setup.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of the +Snow Leopard > Installation and Setup+ forum).
