How can't I move all my contacted and photos from my old iCloud account to my new account
How can't I move all my contacted and my photos from my old iCloud account to my new iCloud account . And how do I know I got photos saved on my iCloud account
If you sign into your old account using your iPhone and turn on contacts (Settings > iCloud) then once all of your contacts are on your iPhone turn contacts back off and select keep on my iPhone. Then delete account on the old account and sign in with your new iCloud account and turn on contacts and select merge. That will get your contacts over.
If you have photos stored in iCloud it will be in My Photo Stream. This section only keeps the last 30 days of auto uploads from any of your devices or computers that are using this feature. You can access these photos by signing into the old iCloud account in Settings > iCloud and enable Photos > My Photo Stream. If you have any photos in there, they will load into your Photos App. In the Photos App, tap Albums in the bottom right, then tap My Photo Stream. There is no way to upload them to your new iCloud account once you sign into it short of creating a Shared Photo Stream and inviting yourself to it.
In the end you should really try to keep one Apple ID for everything when possible as there is no way to merge Apple IDs and you can end up in a tangled mess.

Hi,
2 years ago I made an eCommerce website and it went live with Businsss Catalyst. 3 months ago I became a member of Adobe Creative Cloud, which gives me access to Business Catalyst within my Adobe CC account. How do I move all my website information from my old BC account to my new Adobe CC account? If someone could help me out here, it would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
PaulHi Paul,
This will not work.
The 5 Creative Cloud sites are only webbasic. They are the lowest plan availible and will not support things like eCommerce. -

I have an older PowerBook (OS X 10.4.x) and I need to move all my Mail (including mail I archived to folders) to a new Macbook Pro running Lion.
Can I just move the Mail directory (/Home/Library/Mail) and com.apple.mail.plist from the Powerbook to the MBP?
I noticed that the Mail directory structure on the MBP is different in Lion than the Mail directory structure on my PB OS X 10.4.
I didn't want to overwrite the Mail directory on the MBP and find out I corrupted Mail on the new MBP.
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks. The safe "step 1," of course, is to keep an unaltered copy of the 10.4 Mail folder and plist so that if something bad happens on the new machine, you just throw out that folder and plist and try again.
The safe "step 2" is that instead of dragging the folder into the same place on the new Mac, you can copy it to a separate location, like a temporary folder in Documents, then in Apple Mail in your new Lion MBP, use File/Import Mailboxes. It will ask you where the mailboxes are, and after you point it to that folder, I'm assuming it will import and convert them to the new format and place them in the correct sub-folders. If it goes well, you can then delete the temporary copy that you made for import purposes.
The 10.4 plist might be too old since it's 3 major versions later; you can try putting it in the Preferences folder, but it seems safer to note all the settings in 10.4 and re-enter them from scratch. -
How do I import all my songs, apps, etc from my old pc to my new iMac?
Had originally copied songs onto a memory stick from old computer (PC), and copied to itunes in my new iMac. Seemed to work fine but when I went to sync my iphone 4s, it is evident that all my apps etc are still in the other computer. Is there any way to sync it all over ????
The apple store will do this for you.
You can call apple support and they will help you.
You can type " move itunes library from pc to mac" in the google search bar. -
How can I move all my bookmarks from different Firefox profiles (would like to move whole bookmark folders at once if possible) into one area to organize them and then place them into the different Firefox profiles? This is all under one window user account, I am using windows 8.1. Even if you have information on how to do it on a different windows, it may still be helpful. Thanks for any input you have.
Just a note about the difference between these two things:
* "export" and "import" use an ancient HTML document format that all browsers can understand. When you import bookmarks, Firefox may place them into an Imported Bookmarks folder, or into Unsorted Bookmarks. This does not displace existing bookmarks, and Firefox does not automatically remove duplicates.
* "backup" and "restore" use a more comprehensive JSON data file, which contains extra information about your bookmarks (such as tags) not contained in the traditional export file. HOWEVER, a restore completely replaces all existing bookmarks, so the restore feature cannot be used to merge in a set of additional bookmarks.
Related support articles:
* [[Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks]]
* [[Import Bookmarks from a HTML file]]
* [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]]
Some users find the disk-based Windows Favorites folder a convenient way to organize bookmarks. If you do, too, and you do not need to preserve tags on your bookmarks, you could export each profile's bookmarks to HTML and import them all into IE11. Organize them in the Windows Favorites folder, then export from IE11 to HTML and import that file into each Firefox profile. See: [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/add-view-organize-favorites]. -
I got a new iPhone yesterday. The sales people set it up to use. I want to have all the apps, pics, etc from my iPod to be on the new iPhone. How do I do this from my iCloud backup of the iPod??
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase your device. Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.
This link gives another overview of backup and restore:

Be aware that photos should always be synced to a computer for archiving and that relying on a restore from an icloud backup may not return all (or any) of your photos. Once on the computer, you can sync the photos to the new device...

Is there an automatic method of extracting all the presets, settings, etc. from every program in the Adobe Master Collection 5.5?
I am about to regenerate my Operating System Partitions from scratch & do not want to go through setting up each & every program in the master collection by hand.Adobe does have some pages documenting where it keeps preference et. al. files. For example, this one for Photoshop CS5:
http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/preference-file-functions-names-locations.html
I do know that overlaying the contents of the Adobe Photoshop CS5 Settings folder does restore most of the preferences. The Color Settings are in a file called Color Settings.csf in another folder (depending on OS). What I don't know is whether there are paths in those files that will differ depending on how you reinstall your system.
You'll want to reinstall all your plug-ins again, much the same as when you reinstall Photoshop. But you can make a copy of your Plug-ins subfolders from your 32 and 64 bit Photoshop installation areas just for good measure, to make sure you don't forget some of them.
As for other programs in the suite... You'll have to look for that info separately.

i purchased a new computer, how do i transfer all of my itunes content from the old computer to the new one with out loosing songs, apps, pics ...ect
Copy the entire iTunes folder from the old computer to the new computer to move iTunes content.
As for pictures, copy them from where there are on the old computer to the new computer... this has nothing to do with iTunes.
Alternatively, if both computers are Windows based, use the Windows Easy File Transfer Utility to move everything. -
How do I upload all my apps, calendars, etc from old iPad and iPhone to new iPad air?
provided you are using the same Apple ID
for Apps
just launch the App Store App
tap on Purchased at the bottom of the page.
tap on particular Apps you want to download and install..
for other items
launch the Settings App
scroll left pane down a bit, just below Privacy
tap on iCloud
Turn on iCloud sharing for particular items
Contacts, Calendars, Mail, Safari (favorites)
Turn on iCloud sharing on your old devices and your new devices.
Wait 10 or 15 minutes, or so depending on your WiFi network..
You should start to see these shared items appear on your new device..
You can turn iCloud sharing off on your old devices (and new device)
after you are confident enough items have transferred. -
I was unable to get anything from iCloud when initially setting up my iPad. How can I get all my apps and etc, from iCloud now that I already have my iPad set-up.. I know I have to get it thru iTunes but how do I go about it from iTunes. Please help kinda of confused here. Also do I need to do it from a computer or can I set it up right from my iPad?
If you want to restore from your iCloud backup you actually have to erase the device and start all over again - but I think you are aware of that.
Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and Settings. That totally wipes the iPad and forces you to start all over again and then you can restore from the iCloud backup when prompted to do so.
Unfortunately you cannot restore this way unless you are connected to WiFi. Cellular will not work, because celluar does not work until the iPad is activated and so you are in a vicious cycle with no way out until you have WiFi.
Can you go to a library or anywhere that has free WiFi - or a friends house - and activate the iPad there? You just have to go somewhere to get an Internet connection via WiFi now. -
how do i get all my music to transfer from an old pod to a new ipot touch? Shouldn't this be automatic when i login to itunes?
To transfer non-iTunes purchased music from an iPod to a computer requires use of a third-party program like one of those discussed here:

How do I move elements 9 from my old xp computer to my new windows 8 computer?
How do I move element 9 from my old xp computer to my new windows 8 computer?
If you have an installation disc for Elements 9, then I would suggest that you uninstall Elements 9 from your old computer, de-activate during the uninstallation. On Windows 8 computer, insert the disc and install Elements 9, activate it during installation. However, it is not tested, according to this document from Adobe: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4527508. Let me know how it goes.
