How do I move bookmarks to another partition, i.e., from C: to D:?

How can I move bookmarks from C: partition to D: (or another) partition? (At present, if I restore C: from an image (e.g., using Acronis True Image), the most recent bookmarks are lost.)

    I'm setting up a laptop and want to have all the bookmarks from my desk machine to be moved there from different accounts, but in end up in one file so that I don't have to have loads of separate accounts.

    You need to combine all the links to one HTML file.
    You only need a file with Anchor links like this:

    If you export bookmarks to an HTML file then you create a copy of your bookmarks and you edit that copy and you do not affect the original bookmarks.

    All of your Firefox data is stored in the profile folder.
    * [[Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data]]
    ** The ''extensions'' subfolder contains add-ons like extensions and themes (but not plug-ins; plug-ins are third-party software installed in your operating system).
    ** Some extensions may create data folders (e.g. /adblockplus) or files (e.g. stylish.sqlite) directly under the profile folder.
    ** The ''prefs.js'' file stores your preferences for Firefox and extensions.

    How do I move music folders with individual music files from windows 7 to the itunes library so the files are usable in itunes?

    All of the following programs should work with Vista.
    Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
    Another free program is Pod Player.
    SharePod is also freeware.

  • How do I move folders with subfolders (containing pdf files) from my pc to ipad 3 to use in adobe reader

    How do I move folders with subfolders (containing pdf files) from my pc to ipad 3 to use in adobe reader

    You need to connect the ipad to the computer and open itunes.
    Open the ipad and go into settings, icloud. Tap on "Documents and Data" and turn that on to sync to icloud.
    Now go back into itunes and it should pick up your ipad already and tap on the ipad connection. There will pop up some taps on the center screen for sync options. Go thru each one (summary, info, apps, music, tv shows, podcasts, itunesU, books and photos).....you want to click on "Books".
    To the left click the arrow next to the ipad under Devices.
    The arrow will point down and open the sub menu, click on the "Books" sub menu here. You will see in the center window current books, PDF currently on the ipad.
    Next go to the top and click on "File"  (file, edit, view, controls, store, advanced, help) and click on "add folder to library"...... it will bring up your computer file system in a seperate window. File the folder your looking for and add it. This should get the folder set up to sync onto ipad thru itunes.
    For additional ease in doing things on the middle window of itunes click back on summary, scroll a bit and you will see "Backup", click on "Backup to icloud". Then under "Options", check "Sync with this ipad over WiFi".
    This will allow you to wirelessly sync your itunes and your ipad without having the ipad connected to the computer with a cable. You just have to be on the same wireless network.
    If in itunes you add something like a pdf or photo, when your on your ipad open the Ibooks or Iphoto app and it wull update the file system to match your itunes account. The sync with with anything you do in itunes and it works the other way around also. If you save files, photos, books on the ipad, using the ipad (app store purchases, games, books)....the ipad will update to itunes next time your on the same network.
    FYI - both the ipad and the computer have to be on.
    Itunes updates (changes you make thru itunes), does not need itunes to be open for update content to update to the ipad. This is because it updates to the cloud.
    Updates from the ipad to itunes will need itunes open on the computer. So it can sync with the cloud info.

  • How do I move over stored connections on Fire FTP from one PC to another PC ?

    I have about twenty stored connection in my ftp client on FTP Tools. How do I move these connections from one PC to another, like bookmarks?

    Your FTP logins are stored with your other saved passwords. This article describes the files that that store this data: [[Recovering important data from an old profile]]. If you only need to move data in one direction, you could copy the two files and then drop them into your active settings (Firefox profile) folder on the second PC to replace the existing ones.
    To easily access your active settings folder, use:
    Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
    If you need to merge data between the two profiles, I don't know whether you can do that without an add-on. In theory Sync should do it, but... I'm not sure I trust Sync yet. Backups definitely would be recommended before trying it.

  • How do I move bookmarks back to the right side of window.

    can't move bookmarks to the right side of window.

    Sounds that you have opened the Bookmarks sidebar (View > Sidebars; Ctrl+B) and not use the Bookmarks Menu button that opens a drop-down list.
    You can find a toolbar button in the toolbar palette that shows as a star with a drop marker when placed on a toolbar that opens the bookmarks in a drop-down list.<br />
    The other toolbar button with a star opens the bookmarks in the sidebar.
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/How+to+customize+the+toolbar
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Back+and+forward+or+other+toolbar+items+are+missing
    Note that you need to hide the Menu Bar and possibly the Bookmarks Toolbar to make this button stay on another toolbar after you close the Customize window.

    I have created a new profile for Firefox and have a huge amount of bookmarks in my old profile. How can I move the bookmarks from my old profile to the new one? • REFInd: how to boot an image on another partition [solved]

    How can I direct a rEFInd menuentry to boot image files that reside on another partition?
    Example:
    sda
    |--sda1 vfat (efi partition)
    |--sda2 ext4 (boot)
    |--sda3 btrfs (root)
    I don't want to copy my kernel images to my efi partition (sda1).  I want them to stay on my "old" /boot partition (sda2).  How can I modify the following refind.conf entry to reflect this?
    menuentry "Arch Custom" {
    icon EFI/refind/icons/os_arch.icns
    ostype Linux
    loader /vmlinuz-linux-custom
    initrd /initramfs-linux-custom.img
    options "root=/dev/sda3 rootfstype=btrfs rw systemd.unit=graphical.target"
    I know this is possible because the autodetection option in rEFInd does it automatically   Thanks!

  • How to install Oracle 10g on another partition

    Hi,
    On my desktop on Disk C:\ (O.S. Windows) I've got Oracle Client for accessing to Oracle Database 8i that is the version used in the company where I work and that is installed on Unix server. As I'd like to install the Oracle Database 10g Release 2 (for practice) on my PC and the Oracle Database 10g Client Release 2 as well, I've got two questions:
    1 - Will the installation procedure allow me to install Oracle Database 10g Release 2 on another partition of my PC (I've got Disc D:\ on it)?
    2 - Above all will it be possible to install Oracle Database 10g Client Release 2 on Disc D:\ or the installation procedure will make me to install on C:\ where I've already the "orant" directory for accessing to Database Oracle 8i I have to work on?
    Sorry for the questions but I'm afraid of committing errors in installing 10g having already a client for 8i which I must still have for working
    Thanks!

    I've got two more questions:
    1 - for a PC stand alone where I'd like to install Oracle Database 10g anb Oracle Database 10g Client, which version should I use? Do I have to use the Express Edition or what else? I've looked at http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/index.html
    You can use express if you want. I've succesfully run Enterprise Edition on an XP-Pro laptop.
    2 - Are you sure I will have no problem about the ORACLE_HOME or about PC's register having on the same PC, even if on different partitions (Disk C:\ and D:\), Not if you install it correctly. Oracle is designed to support multiple version installations on the same box.
    two versions of Oracle 8i (only client) and 10g (db plus client)?You don't need to install the 10g client. All Oracle database installs include the client software.

  • How Do You Move Cursor To Another Plot?

    I have a couple of plots I am working with. How do I move the Cursor (programmatically) from one plot to the next?
    I have tried assigning the "Plot" to the cursor and using SnapToPointOnPlot, but it does no good.
    You can set the snapmode to SnapToNearestPoint and drag the cursor there (that works), but I need to do it programmatically.

    The following code demonstrates what you want to do. The form should have a 2D Graph (CWGraph1), a DSP control (CWDSP1), and a command button. Your difficulty may have been in (not) using the Set statement to assign a plot to the cursor. The VB lines of particular interest are in bold.
    Private Sub Command1_Click()
    Dim phase
    Dim x
    Dim y
    'Create one sine wave
    phase = 0
    x = CWDSP1.SineWave(128, 1, 0.01, phase)
    'Create a second sine wave
    phase = 30
    y = CWDSP1.SineWave(128, 1, 0.01, phase)
    'Remove any plots from graph
    CWGraph1.Plots.RemoveAll
    'Plot one
    CWGraph1.PlotY x
    'This line prevents the next call to PlotY from overwriting the first plot.
    CWGraph1.Plots(1).MultiPlot = False
    CWGraph1.PlotY y
    'I added a cursor interactively, so it already exists on the graph.
    'Tell the cursor to snap to points on a specific plot
    CWGraph1.Cursors(1).SnapMode = cwCSnapPointsOnPlot
    'Tell the cursor which plot to snap to. You MUST use a Set statement because
    ' CWGraph1.Plots(1) references an object (in this case a plot object.)
    Set CWGraph1.Cursors(1).Plot = CWGraph1.Plots(1)
    'Put the cursor at index 64 of the plot data.
    CWGraph1.Cursors(1).PointIndex = 64
    MsgBox "asdf"
    'Attach the cursor to the second plot.
    Set CWGraph1.Cursors(1).Plot = CWGraph1.Plots(2)
    'Put the cursor at index 32 of the plot data.
    CWGraph1.Cursors(1).PointIndex = 32
    End Sub
    I hope this helps,
    David
