How do I move Cloud access to new computer

I subscribe to Creative Cloud and plan on buying a new Mac.  The deactivation/activation information I have found on this Adobe site seems to me to refer to the old system of a purchased license with an authorization code etc.  Before I mess around, I would like to be sure of the steps for deactivating the Creative Cloud access on my current computer and installing it on the new one.  I will want to run the programs from that computer since it will be newer and faster.  Thanks for any help.

Creative clouds application follow the same concept as perpeptual of 2 activations , so if you want to switch from old computer to new one.
Open any CS6 applications ,
Go to Help-->Deactivate
Then uninstall all the CS6 products (Creative cloud)
Go to the New machine and then install the apps there.

You simply install it properly like on your old computer. If you have specific questions, you need to tell us at least what programs you are referring to and what system....

  • I have a backup of my itunes music.  How do i move it to my new computer?

I was able to retrieve files from my old computer before it crashed.  I now have a new computer but I don't know how to move those files to the new computer and access itunes.  Please help!!

If you made a copy of your entire iTunes library, the last section of this knowledge base article should explain how to restore it, if not, could you tell me what form your backup is in, in the sense of what folders you managed to copy from your old computer?

  • How do I move 2 ipods to new computer?

    Hello Everyone,
I'm sure this has been asked many times before, but I'm not finding the answer when I search for this.
I'm an old guy that doesn't use itunes or our ipods much.  So I'm not real familiar with all the use, downloading, etc. that goes with it.
I have 2 ipods established on my old computer with itunes.  One in my name and the other in my wife's name.  I want un-sync those ipods from the old computer so I can sync them to the new computer.  The last time I tried, the old computer will still turn on.
The old computer has Windows xp.  The new one has Windows 7.
I have not downloaded any music at all (but I do want to download some music when I get this straightened out on my new computer).  My itunes only has cd's that I loaded there.  We both use the same itunes library to load our ipods.
I downloaded itunes on my new computer already.
How do I un-sync the 2 ipods from the old computer so I can sync and use them on the new computer?  Is there a step-by-step link anyone can refer me to?  I need instructions that don't assume I know anything about this.
I'm on some car forums and I know it's a pain when someone asks something that's been covered so many times already.  But, I have searched and I'm not seeing what I need.
    I appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
    Rick

    I did this procedure tonight:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1329
    All went well.
I did everything using my device.  So my next question is:
How do I move my wife's ipod nano from the old computer to the new one?
    We used the same library.
    What is de-authorize?
Since we use the same library:  Can I simply remove her's from the old, and then plug it into the new?
Or, since I moved the library over, did her's automatically come with it?
    Thanks again.

  • I have a laptop with a bad hard drive,  my iTunes library is on an external hardrive. How do I move iTUnes to a new computer and have it work?

I have my iTunes Library all saved on an external hard drive.  I have iTunes on the desktop of my laptop.  The hard drive in my laptop is going bad.  How do I move iTunes to another computer and be able to use my external hard drive?  This may be easier than I might think.  I hope so.

I have a iPad and iPhone, I want to move all my podcasts and such to a new laptop.
    How do I do this?

everything should be linked to your itunes account.  When you install itunes on the new computer, sign in, and authorize your computer to your account.  It should start downloading all podcasts, purchased songs, apps, etc. to the new computer

  • How do I move itunes to a new computer?

My daughter has a new computer, and we need to move her itunes to it. The purchased songs come up but the rest of her songs will not appear. How do I copy over the rest and have them accessible?

If you can network the computers together via Ethernet or over a wireless connection, you could copy the music folder directly.
Or if you have an iPod, you could set it to disk mode and use it to transport the songs from one computer to the other.

  • How do you move itunes to a new computer, keeping the songs in the library?

I have a laptop now and would like to move the itunes from my home computer to my laptop. Is there a way to move it and keep my purchased songs in the library?

Probably the most straightforward way to get iTunes onto your second computer is to network it with the first one and copy your iTunes folder across. Start by consolidating your library. When you consolidate, any songs in the iTunes Library that are not in the iTunes Music Folder are copied to the Music Folder and the Library is updated to point to those new files. Files already in the iTunes Music Folder have no changes made to them: Copying all your iTunes files to one location - Windows
Copying the whole folder brings with it the iTunes Music folder and also the iTunes Library (iTunes Library.itl in Windows) database file which holds all the information about your songs (Playlists, Ratings, Play Counts, Last Played, Date Added, etc). You'll get more information including the Folder/File structure in this article: What are the iTunes library files?
When you copy the iTunes folder make sure you put it into the default location on the new computer. On a PC this is \Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\My Music\ (or C:\Username\Music\ in Vista). You should also use the same version of iTunes on both computers.
You can also use this method with an external hard drive, you drag the folder from the first computer to the external drive and then from the drive to the second computer.
If you have and iPod, some iPods can be used as an external drive and you can use them to move your iTunes (this option isn't available with the iPod Touch): How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer
If you have any iTunes purchases in your library don't forget that you'll need to authorise your new computer to play them. Also if you are disposing of the old one remember to deauthorise it so you don't use up one of your allowances: About iTunes Music Store Authorisation and Deauthorisation

  • How do I move my playlist to new computer

I successfully moved my entire library including purchased music (although now the purchased music isn't in the purchased folder, just in the library). It looks like everything moved except my playlists are gone. How do I move the playlists? Thanks!

You should have an iTunes folder containing an iTunes Music folder on the external drive if you haven't got that you need to start from scratch and delete your original effort from the external drive.
First confirm that you have the default arrangement on the original computer. If you just let itunes do its thing that's what you will have.
In your Music folder there should be an iTunes folder containing iTunes Library.itl and iTunes Music Library.xml. These are the library files that contain your playlists, counts and ratings. Also there should be an iTunes Music folder containg the music files and an Album Artwork folder containing artwork.
You need to copy the iTunes folder from the old PC to the external drive. This copies everything you need, copy and paste the whole iTunes folder to the external drive so you end up with a folder called iTunes on the external drive.
It really ought to be easy, but it is not always easy to work out what someone has done remotely, or how much they know.
Once you have an iTunes folder on the external drive you should be able to follow the instructions on the link to complete the process.
    P.S.
You asked about the quick thing. If you have the iTunes folder on the external drive, you can plug it into the new PC, then start iTunes with the shift key held down. When asked to choose a library, navigate to the iTunes folder on the external drive and choose iTunes Library.itl.
If it works OK you should be running your iTunes library on the external drive.
Shift key start up creating/choosing a library

You can return to the original arangement by doing another shift key start.

You can copy the two files signons.sqlite (Firefox 32+: logins.json) and key3.db from the Firefox profile folder to the profile folder on the other computer.

  • How do I move everything to a new computer?

I have PSE 3.0, and I will soon be getting a new computer. I think I will want to copy all 5,000 or so of my photos to my new computer, and keep the tags, cataloges, etc., that I now have. Is there a fool proof way to do this? 95% of my photos are archived on CDs, using the same file structure I have on the computer. What I'd like to avoid is having to go through the whole process I first had when organizer had to find every file and I then had to set up a tagging system and tag everything.
So, what steps do I need to take. I am absolutely sure that I won't get everything over exactly the way I want, without a single missed file, etc., but I'd like to minimize the glitches.
    Thanks

First, information on the Elements Catalog location
If you have used the default PSE 3 Catalog name and location, you most probably will find it as
Filename of My Catalog.psa in folder
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Catalogs
Warning: This folder structure has a Windows Hidden Folder, so you must enable Viewing and Searching of Windows Hidden Folders in order to find your Catalog.
Do NOT use any My Catalog file that you find under the Program Files folder; it will NOT contain your tags and other data.
    Second
    >All of my photos are on my hard drive. Every so often, through the years, I have copied whole folders and subfolders to cd, to protect and archive them. So, what I meant to say, was that all of the photos on my harddrive have already been backed up on CD and can be transferred to a new computer.
    >The file and folder structure on the CDs should be fairly close to the harddrive.
Well, the "fairly close" could be a bit of a nuisance if you use the CDs to copy to the new PC.
Elements stores the full Windows path name for the photo location - drive letter and entire folder tree including the User name if within the My Documents.
If your hard driver letter and the Windows Userid will be the same on the new system, then I would use an External Disk Drive (or a network connected drive) to copy the photo file tree structure(s) from the old PC to the new PC.
Then also copy the Catalog (location described above) and the folder contents under the "Catalog Folders" folder that will be near the location of the My Catalog.psa catalog file.
----- if you do want to use the CDs to copy the folder tree structures, then it sounds like most photo locations will be ok (if drive letter and Windows userid are the same) but some photos will need to be Reconnected (so the catalog knows their current location). Reconnecting large numbers of photo files in PSE 3 has been problematic for some people (but not all).
----- if your hard drive letter or Windows userid (if photos are in My Documents) will be different, then you can use an Elements Backup on the old PC and Elements Restore on the new PC. Then the catalog will have the correct location for the photo files. But sometimes the top level folder structure does not exactly duplicate what you had on the old PC; yet the significant lower levels should be OK.
In any case the Elements catalog database can be modified with Access (even by someone else on another PC) to change folder paths for the photo locations.

  • How can I move CS6 to a new computer?

I received my license through TechSoup. My macbook pro is old and I am replacing it when the next models come out (we hope in a couple of months)  Right now I need to use only one app (inDesign) which I currently have in trial mode. I don't have room to put the whole CS6 on this computer, though I could put it on an attached HD.  What should be my plan of attack so as to not invalidate my license?

you are entitled to two concurrent installations/activations with your one license, but if you don't need cs6 on your old computer, deactivate (help>deactivate) it.
when your new computer arrives install (do not move/transfer/copy/etc) cs6 on your new computer and activate it with your serial number.

I have to buy a new laptop (PC) because mine was stolen a couple of weeks ago.  I don't have the ability to deauthorize iTunes, or copy files.  All the articles I'm finding about using your iPod as a hard disk say that they don't apply to iPod Touch.  I'm nervous that I'm going to lose everything when I sync to a new computer.  Is there any way to save all of my files (including Playlists)?
