How do I move data from iPad 2 to iPad 3?

I thought all I needed to do was sync the iPad 2 one last time, and then sync the iPad 3 under the same device name. So I connected the new one, and a dialog box appeared which provided two choices - restore, or set up as new. When I tried restore, it said I needed to set up as new. So I did. All the apps came over, but the data in them did not (for example, the notepad is empty).

You backup your old iPad to iTune and restore iTune backup to new iPad.
Restore from iTune Backup (on your new iPad)
1. Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings
2. You'll be asked twice to confirm
3. You'll see Apple logo and progress bar
4. You'll see a big iPad logo on screen
5. Configuration start
6. Set language
7. Set country
8. Select Network and input Password>Join
9. Enable Location Service>Next
10. You'll be given 3 options (a) Setup as New iPad (b) Restore from iCloud Backup (c) Restore from iTune Backup
11. Select Restore from iTune Backup
12. You will see picture of USB cable pointing towards iPad
13. Connect iPad to iTune (make sure iTune is on standby)
14. Tap Continue (computer)
15. Restore iPad from Backup (computer)
16. See progress bar with estimated time (computer)
17. See Restore in Progress on iPad
18. See Apple logo
19. See Apple and Progress Bar
20. Slide to Unlock
21. Copying Apps back to iPad (computer)
22. You'll see Loading/Installing/Waiting below the Apps (iPad)
23. Sync Music/Podcast/Movies to iPad (computer)
24. Sync completed (computer)

I have two columns, one that stores current month’s data and one that stores last month’s data. Every month data from column 2 (this month’s data) needs to be moved to column 1 that holds last month’s data. I then null out column 2 so I can accumulates this month’s data.

If you have purchased songs from the iTunes Music Store, then those are pretty easy to transfer to your computer. You'll just need to follow [this instructions|http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305465].
All your other songs (for example, those ripped from your CD's), you'll need to use any 3rd party program to transfer them to your iTunes library!
Some can also transfer your playlists, videos, ratings, podcast...

How do I move data from old hard drive to the time capsule?

Hi ,
I got the Time Capsule a couple days ago and have been backing up my Macbook pro's data. I have an old Lacie 160G external hard drive with data I'd like to put into the time capsule. The only way it can do that now seems like I have to transfer the data from the Lacie to my mac ...then backs it up automatically to the Time Capsule.
However, my 256G of space on my mac is about to be full !
The time machine automatically puts my Lacie hard drive as excluded from being backed up and the button - (to remove it) doesn't work when an external hard drive is connected to the Macbook. Right now, my trust in the time capsule is not superb. I've tried intentionally to delete a video file on my Macbook and then see if I could retrieve it . I've had one fail/error and one success. Since one failed I have not dared to delete anything.
So..the plan is to delete files on my Macbook and then import data from my Lacie to my Macbook...and pray the time capsule will save everything?
Can anyone with experience tell me how to use the time capsule correctly?

The TM should be able to include the LaCie if it is formatted HFS+. If it isn't then no .. TM cannot backup.
On Yosemite the simple fact is TM is working poorly.. we are awaiting a patch or 6 to fix some of the issues.. but it is being extra flakey.
This is just a very personal opinion but I purchased Carbon Copy Cloner a couple of years ago.. very good purchase.. Easy to use.. reliable.. can backup network drives and disks that are not HFS+ formatted.. plus it can make a bootable clone.. It can backup separately your internal drive and your external drive to different sparsebundles on the TC.. I reckon for $40.. it is well worth it.
Otherwise you are stuck with the Yosemite / TM bugs.. good luck with those..
And more so the fact that TM is simply limited in its ability.
At least create a disk image on the TC and copy manually the files from the external drive into it. You do not need to copy the files to the Mac to do this..
But I think I would be buying another decent sized external drive.. 160GB drives.. sounds ancient..

I would connect to the computer and import photos there. The only way that I know of getting photos to the iPad is photostream, and that would only work for photos taken after photostream is activated. You can import to the computer, then delete the photos and then sync them back afterwards.

How do I move data from a DAQ into and out of loops and structures?

I have a set of RTD probes set up to read data into LabView through a DAQ. This block of code is in a while loop
that executes alongside of several other loops simultaneously. I need to use the data from the RTD probes in other
loops and case structures specifically for logic tests.
The problem is that I can't seem to bring the dynamic data out of the DAQ containing while loop or into the other structures.
Any ideas?
I have had some success with using multiple DAQs and stopping all others while I need the data inside of a case structure.
Is there a way to reference data from a DAQ or to run multiple DAQs that read the same data from the same channels without getting a "Task in use error"?

Search the forums for Prodcuer/consumer architecture.
This uses queues to pass data from the producer loop (such as your data acquisition loop) to other "consumer" loops. These are the other loops where you want to use the data.
You won't be able to use multiple DAQ Read functions at the same time. As you've seen you get error -50103 about the resources already being in use.

Please provide a confirmed step by step process to move win 7 file to Ipad 3 using a video mp4 file. Wasted hours trying to do this. I know i can just open it in dropbox, and it works fine, but it would be nice to use ipad functionality.

On iTunes 11 if you haven't already done so, then you can enable the left-hand sidebar via control-S on a PC - that might make some things easier.
If the video is in a compatible format then you can add it to your iTunes library via File > Add File To Library (control-O, or alt-F to open the File drop-down menu). You can then sync it to the Videos app on your iPad by connecting the iPad to your PC and selecting it on the left-hand sidebar, and then on the right-hand side using the Movies/Films tab to select and sync it - if you get a 'not compatible' message when trying to sync it then try selecting the video in the Films/Movies section of your library and do File > Create New Version > Create iPad Version (alt-F should open the File drop-down menu) and then try syncing that version.

The iCloud storage idea is a bit confusing for users because it's not designed to store the files you want. Instead, you can save on it files created with apps that are compatible with iCloud, for example, iWork apps. In this case, you can store data on iCloud, but it doesn't let you to move other files like movies or photos

I know that sounds simple but my situation is different. I have an Hard Drive and Ram cards that have been removed from an old MacBook. I don't know what you mean by Ram card, but unless you want to install the HD in an enclosure, you can use this device to connect a wide variety of drives to your new MBP.
If "Ram card" is actually the memory from your old MacBook, there is no data in them to transfer. And if you look here, you'll find that they aren't compatible with your new machine.
