How do I "move forward" photos in a photobook (after removing a photo from being placed)

New to iphoto and Mac. I've created a Book from 3 projects. As I'm reviewing the photo book, there are photos I've decided I don't want and they have become Unplaced.
I'd like the remaining photos to be "moved forward" automatically - can this be done?
Same question when changing a layout from say 2 photos per page to 6 photos. All I end up with is a bunch of empty slots and I don't want to manually move forward a bunch of photos.
Any tutorials or resources you can suggest would be helpful. I've tried googling this problem, and am faced with too many answers about people and deleting the photo libraries etc.

I think what I'm looking/hoping for, is that iphoto could (at least in the beginning stages) "repaginate" my album if there are photos I want to remove. Just like when making a word document, when you delete some text, the rest of the text moves up and the document gets shorter.

As i answered
there is no way to move photos forwards or backwards
so I created an album and iphoto slotted photos in there. On further review - there are certain photos I just don't want (i.e. not nice enough, detract from overall book etc.). If I remove something at the beginning, it's alot of manual work to move other photos forward.

The other situation is, when iphoto inserts the photos, it might not necessarily keep certain photos together (in this case, it's my parents' trip to Ireland) and we have a preference to keep photos from the same venue together on a page, not split by a page-flip. This is where I'd want to change a layout from say 2 photos to 6 photos and would like to automatically move the previous pages photos forward to be placed in the new empty slots.
And for the third time - exactly the same question - and of course exactly the same answer

You can ask - but what you want is not a feature of iPhoto - suggest to Apple - iPhoto Menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback.
As to your use of the existing features - totally your choice - some people use certain features and other do not - do what you please
I generally find that if I am careful in selecting photos then Autoflow is a good start - but not always - just depends
And I usually fill holes with additional photos that I did not originally choose or change the number of photos in the layout I use for that page

I have tried to backup the pictures several times to an external drive several times. Somehow some of the pictures are saved as XML files sd opposed to jpegs. given the numbner of images, it takes about 4 hours to complete the process. I have used a 2 TB Western Digital Drive. I think I shall have to purchase a new drive and format it as you suggested. I do not want to overwrite other data stored on that drive. Thanks for the assitance.

The time and date can normally be reset while an application is running by clicking on the time/date in the lower right-hand corner of the computer screen. I have an application that runs over several days and it is critical that the time and date of the computer not be changed. Is there an easy way to lock this out from the user? Note that I am what I consider an advanced beginner in LV.

That is not something you can do from LabVIEW, as it is an operating system operation, and it will depend on the operating system that you're using. On Windows you can use a group policy to control this. Please Google on "prevent time and date change in windows".

Easy peasy!
1. Highlight all the songs you want to remove the artwork from.
2. Pull down File > Get Info (Apple+I on the keyboard)
3. Click the checkbox next to the "artwork" panel.
4. Click OK and the artwork will be removes.
For individual tracks:
1. Hightlight the track.
2. Get Info.
3. Click the Artwork tab.
4. Click the artwork, click Delete, click OK.

Go to Settings>General>Usage. How much space does it show you have?

It's easy to miss. Look for the red warning triangle in the corner of the page in the View All Pages view.

My PC with iTunes on it got fried (lightning). I have a 2nd PC with iTunes on it. How can I move my devices to that iTunes (I have recovered data from the drive)

I had a primary PC that had iTunes on it that got fried by lightning strike a few months ago. I have several devices (1 iPod, 1 iPad, 3 iPhones) that were synched with that iTunes install. I had a secondary PC with a separate iTunes installation on it (separate music library.) I recovered the hard drive so I can move the music to the secondary PC, but how can I sync my devices with that 2nd installation of iTunes without losing all of the information on those devices? (I haven't saved or synched those devices since the summer.) Can I keep the playlists from from the first PC?

New to Logic Pro X (although I've used Soundtrack Pro a lot in the past). I export XML from FCPX, and then I import the FCPX XML into Logic Pro X. However, the 'movie' to time my sound effects and queue music to etc is mostly frozen. How can I get the movie from FCPX into Logic Pro X in sync, so I can refer to it as a queue for bringing in music etc?
After importing the FCPX XML the 'open movie' (I opened a default master file that I'd shared/exported from FCPX) the movie that played in the popup was slightly out of sync.

Whenever I send an e-mail with my yahoo account which is also my apple ID a small icon (personal) picture is attached to the e-mail. How do I remove this picture from being attached to all of my outgoing messages?

Everytime I send a message from my yahoo account (which is also my appleID account) a small icon picture (which is a pic of my ex-boyfriend) is attached to the e-mail heading. I'm able to notice I want to remove this from happening. The picture is displayed on my iphone when I open up the mail.
Steps I take:
1. I write an e-mail message from my yahoo account to my other .edu account on a desktop computer.
2. I send the e-mail message from my yahoo account to my other .edu account on a desktop computer.
3. When I open up my .edu account on my iPHONE, there is a new message from my yahoo account.
4. Upon opening the e-mail message on my iPHONE, in the title heading it has the title of the email along with a small (upper right) picture on the iPHONE.
Another thing that I tested was the same thing on my iPAD for text messages:
1. I set up my text messages to my yahoo account (which is also my apple ID account)
2. I send a text message to a person and the same small icon picture is shown on the ipad with each message that is sent
3. The person receiving the text message does not get the small icon picture; however, on the ipad it shows this picture (WHICH NEEDS TO BE REMOVED)
I need to determine how this icon picture is associated with both my yahoo and apple ID account. The funny thing is that I don't have this picture on any of my devices (mac, iphone, ipad). It has been completely removed from all of my technology sources. I'm thinking it has to be something to do with the origniation of my apple ID.
PLEASE HELP ME....this picture is hurting my professionalism when I send outgoing messages.

How can I remove my name from being associated with the GB file I export?

I am using Garage Band '11, 6.0.5.
I am editing an audio recording for a friend.
When I exported the edited recording, it had my name associated with the file as the artist, album, etc.
I searched and found "My info" (in "Preferences") and deleted my information from ALL name, album, artist fields, but it still exported the file with my name as the artist (but it did not list it as from my album this time)?
Does anyone know how/where/what I need to do to remove all references of my name associated with this file I'm editing?
And also, can I change who is associated with a GB file, from file to file (i.e. if editing my audio, use my name & info, if editing for a friend or colleague, theirs? or is the name associated with my GB account universally embedded into every file, no matter if I want it to be mine or not)?

When I exported the edited recording, it had my name associated with the file as the artist, album, etc.
The problem is, that this information is stored with the GarageBand project, when you first create the project. You have to edit the Preferences, before you create the project.
If the project already exists, you can change this option by turning the project into a podcast. Add a Podcast track (Track menu, Show Podcast Track), select the podcast track, and open the Info panel. Then edit the artist field in the Info panel, before you save the song to disk.
(added: I saw the workaround with the Podcast track first in a post by Edgar).

And then based on certain events on the page want to use linq over the same data without having to get the data from the data base again.

I want to get all the records of prod A and then using linq to object load the drop downs instead of running query to database.

This is my answer:
Session is not a suitable choice, since each user will have a duplicate of the data. Cache is a better option.
You can put something in Cache option and retrieve it from Cache similar to using Session. This is the manual method of caching and management of the cache content is on yourself.

How do I get my missing calendar events back after MobileMe deleted them from my iphone after syncing?

I signed up for MobileMe about a month ago. I noticed today that all of my calendar events from the last 18 months are missing on my iphone. I checked on MobileMe online and they are there. 'Sync' to me means 'make the two entries identical on the PC and the iPhone' not 'Move it to the online MobileMe and delete it from the phone'.
Is there anyway to get them back on my phone? If I had know this was going to happen I never would have signed up for MobileMe.
